I had the opportunity to attend the developmental clinic today. I know all eyes are deservedly on Leonard, but Crystall, Hutson, Protas, and Hanlet all looked great too.

2 quick points to push back about his take on Roy: A: He was on ice for 9 OILERS PP GOALS! There was seriously 2 teams that at times shut down their PP all year. Even in the finals they had runs on special teams. B: His defensive stats went up, but goal production went down. They don't get him for goal production, they need a shut down guy. That's why they added Chichryn. Both of these guys can play to their strengths. Carberry has a great mind for the game.

I believe truly in upcoming season. If PLD is happy he will deliver. He isn’t stupid. It has to work fir him this time round. He is the guy. Roy and Chychrun huge pieces as well, tet PLD is the guy. If he finds his stride I don’t hope for the playoffs, but expect the playoffs and possibly success at it winning rounds. Who knows?

Glad we got rid of Jensen. Liability in his own end and a weak skater. Chychrun trade changes everything finally we have an elite left handed d and defensive depth. TVR has to be on the third pairing too many times he got caught playing top 4 when he isnt good enough too.

PLD is a risk obviously but aside from Monahan there was no other top C to sign (and he had a resurgent season following a few dud seasons). GMBM refused to move 92 until the dam broke and didn’t get Horvat. I like all of the moves except Perascak but hopefully many of us are wrong there. I would’ve been happy with Hutson in the first round, even!

Good luck. I genuinely hope he has a better season. It's complicated.

Still way too much salary tied up in Backstrom and Oshie. Imagine how this roster would look with that $15MM is salary to spend on players who will see the ice this season.

Roy is gonna be another Matt Niskanen for the Caps. Defense first with some offensive upside.

Maybe Roy is risky in terms of the contract length but he’s a good player and that blue line needed an upgrade. Caps are a better team today.

Was watching a video about the 2019 Development Camp, and they mentioned a goalie named Logan Thompson that was there…has to be the same guy. Then you said BMac said the scouting staff knows him well…interesting how things come back around

Great Off Season by GMBM. But I to am worried if Leonard continues to stay at BC and becomes a FA in couple Years.

I'm still convinced it's because he doesn't want to play alongside the laziest player in the league.

Would be nice to see him with the Caps but I can understand his reasoning. I would only be worried if he decides to play with BC till his senior season as that would open him up to FA

Bad move he could easily get a career ending injury

I like the upgrades on Defense and the acquisition of Thompson. Also liked we obtained younger players (in their 20's) with some experience. Definitely think the Caps upgraded in this off-season but do feels this team is not good enough to win Lord Stanley. Think this is a positive direction.

Good for him, it is pretty honourable to defer money and continue with your education. There will be a spot when he’s ready

Very happy with moves made up until this point, it seems like Mac has not only addressed each and every position but upgraded them as well. Defence and goaltending should look great this season. Im hoping up front enough was done to increase scoring throughout the roster. The big "?" I have is around PLD and if his play can stay consistent enough to be a top 6 guy and a factor that would prove to add offence as well. If he is and stays playing at the potential level Mac saw then id say every position has been improved for a much deeper roster. Cant wait for the season to start!

I think the real impact will be felt in year 2 of this ensemble. It takes about a year of getting used to the new system but once it gets going...watch out

Gotta love how GMBM did not trade away any real future picks or prospects. Everyone is in their prime. And there’s still room for the young guys

So where does Miroshnichenko, Ivan and Lapierre, Hendrix fit? It was said these two were coming up to Capitals next season. Also with all these goaltenders time to move Sheppard. He's going to be stuck in the Ahl again. On paper it looks like they have improved. Let's see the chemistry in the first part of the season.

I do like how BMac went feom "staying competitive" to not being on the bubble ever again but didn't throw big draft picks for guys to get a cup just for today. Totally giving us a look at what the vision is for the future capitals with our prospects and picks... Lets Gooo!

I am in shock at how much better this team is. A few trades and we could be competing in east for cup.

I feel these changes are well worth being excited about.

To be honest ,I've never heard of Chychrun before.I was hoping for a bigger name like Stamkos and Guentzel. 🤔🫤

By obtaining Chychrun, Jakob and Roy, Matt will they depart with Ethan Bear? He's been on Player assistance most of his tenure with the Caps.

I've been wanting them to get Chychurn since he was a Coyote.

Is jensen any good at D? Sens were stacked at lhd with sanderson,chabot and chychrun but we only had zub at rhd. Can jensen handle second pairing minutes? Chycrun is legot skater, beauty shot and insane defensive stick skills. Health has been an issue but he played a full season last year and on a great price tag for his last year. Sens desperate for a rhd and wete up against cap. Jensen handle second pair minutes?
