Way to go Bears!!! This was their third back to back Calder Cups. 1958-1959, 2009-2010, and 2023-2024. I hope Dube makes it to the Caps if just to hear "Dubois passes to Dube, GOAL!!"
As to Reinhart of the Panthers being available, I think there's a good chance that Florida will get it done and they'll keep him.

I know it's a long shot but the Caps should give Matt Stone a min contract and test him out of Dylan's wing during preseason. Never know they might click. I'm pretty sure he's not contacted to the Capitals.

Matt strome is the jared staal of the strome brothers. He trys to play like a scorer but he's not, if he leans into using the body and playing defensive smart hockey he could maybe be a bottom 6 guy but I dont see it.

Credit to GMBM! Cap space is $3.7 + $9.2(Backstrom) + possibly $5.75(Oshie)= $18.65, not $15. Patches is not on the payroll, so not signing him does not increase Cap space. (His $2 Bonus is already factored)
Caps organization is solid! Players want to play here. Oddly, most Cap fans want us to become the Coyotes, the Blue Jackets, the Sabres, etc. Tanking and accumulating top draft picks is for idiots. We now have (2) #3 Overall picks to build on, (Strome and Dubois)...and a bunch of talented up and comers in the system. Who brought them to the Caps? I think he is much better at evaluating than any of us, with much more insightful information we fans arent privy to.

BMGM should be fired for cap mismanagement. Dubois trade alone is worth being fired over. Mantha trade was dumb at the time and didnt workout at all. We gave up a 1st round pick ffs.
