(His $2 Bonus is already factored) Caps organization is solid! Players want to play here. Oddly, most Cap fans want us to become the Coyotes, the Blue Jackets, the Sabres, etc. Tanking and accumulating top draft picks is for idiots. We now have (2) #3 Overall picks to build on, (Strome and Dubois)...and a bunch of talented up and comers in the system. Who brought them to the Caps? BMGM should be fired for cap mismanagement. Dubois trade alone is worth being fired over. Mantha trade was dumb at the time and didnt workout at all. We gave up a 1st round pick ffs.
I know it's a long shot but the Caps should give Matt Stone a min contract and test him out of Dylan's wing during preseason. Never know they might click. I'm pretty sure he's not contacted to the Capitals.
Matt strome is the jared staal of the strome brothers. He trys to play like a scorer but he's not, if he leans into using the body and playing defensive smart hockey he could maybe be a bottom 6 guy but I dont see it.
