Visit a secret city where uranium is refined for nuclear weapons.
This secret site in Oak Ridge TN was part of the Manhattan project that Dr. Oppenheimer ran to create the first nuclear bombs used to end WWII.
We visit 3 sites, Y-12, K-25 and the AMSE museum where we see WWI and cold war artifacts.
The refined uranium and plutonium made here fueled the bombs known as The Gadget, Little Boy, and Fat Man. Two of which were used in World War II to bomb the targets in Japan, Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Building an Electric Power Meter Clock
มุมมอง 3.6K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Modify a power meter like on your house/apartment into an electric clock. (yes, it requires an Arduino) We'll take a GE kilowatt hour electric power meter and turn it into a desk clock with the help of some stepper motors and drivers controlled by an Arduino. Can Country Music be Transmitted by Laser?
มุมมอง 6926 ปีที่แล้ว
Warning:Remember not to look into Laser with remaining eye. Build a light2sound surface mount soldering kit. This kit converts light to sound; I think the creators used it to listen to the hum of room lights. We come up with a better use and try to find out if its possible to transmit country music by laser If you are interested in building the kit you can get them from here (I have no affiliat...

Graph Math on your Scope
มุมมอง 3K6 ปีที่แล้ว
Using an Arduino compatible Teensy 3.5 to graph a heart shaped math function on an Oscilloscope. The actual functions I used came from the bottom right hand heart displayed on the cup at the beginning of the video. In particular: tempX=16*sin(r)*sin(r)*sin(r); tempY=13*cos(r)-(5*cos(2*r))-(2*cos(3*r)) -(cos(4*r)); Then I scale them and store them for "display" in the main loop. tempX=tempX*scal...

3 French fries and a 1/8 pound burger for $21. Um No!
Just wanted to thank you for this fun and in depth vid, i was searching all over to find proof of the "clicker" frequencies that were used and you hit it right on the head buddy!
Glad to help!
Could it be made to use on a modern television?
The easiest way I can think of would be to build a similar device that could recognize the tones of the ultrasonic remote and then rebroadcast it to the television by driving an infrared LED (Just like a modern infrared remote control would do). With a microcontroller in the mix, you could allow combinations from the ultrasonic remote to perform different actions. That could be a really fun project.
Howdy. I just got a four bar and wondered too what all would be needed to use this to control something. Did you ever get the multi code figured out? Also where would one find those receivers.
Casey neistat moment
Helo how much is that multimeter and how can i get it and where?
Do you have a video on how to wire up a meter as a lamp ?
No. But you might find some other interesting projects of mine
On-Off switches are many times missing. Also for battery charging devices. My first action after buying is usually to add an AC switch into the line about 10 centimeters from the device. What you are missing is also some tweezers. I use most often the one with about 1 mm wide pincers, and to pick those leftovers pins from the clipping with a needle wide pincer. More are not necessary.

What is the name of this restaurant? I want to visit
I'm going to say no, you can't. Why ask a question in the title? Ugh. Clickbait.
I don't think that is how to test for Amps.
Can we measure the SMD Component mounted on any PCB by this Multitester TC1?
I like the way you read chinese 😅
This is exactly what I want. I thought there would be many more tutorials but I guess not a lot want to bookbind their kindle 😂
I thought the same, I was not an e-reader girly so I really wanted to make my Kindle feel like an actual book in my hand, which led me here haha.
Another idiot that likes to throw things around.
Maybe go check out whatever model Mr. Carlson's Lab uses. He seems to have better luck. In any case, you can't expect one method to work perfectly every time. You got everything off without burning anything.

whom ever designed this is a evIl genious . :)
I worked at WSLS for 16 years. If you have any questions about stuff they left let me know. Stations moved to the little tiny cellphone packs to get live video back. The 2gig microwave stuff is barely used anymore but in my opinion should. If something big blows up cellphones will be saturated.
That would be fantastic. How do I contact you?
I live in the area with this restaurant. There are 3 locations for this establishment. One in Shawnee, Ks. One on 18th st expressway in Kansas City, Ks and the location in the video is at crown center in Kansas City Missouri, which is near union station. This is something everyone needs to experience if given the opportunity, kids and adults alike
Interesting. I didn't know there were other locations. Do they all have trains?
Coke and strippers!! 🤣
Why background music is there , if you want your channel go forward STOP IT , annoying, distracting
Was interested but stopped watching because of the loud and terrible background music. I could barely hear you over it. Don't use background music.
Thanks. Comments like that is why I don't use background music anymore. I'm trying to be better. 😁

I remember a friend having a rcu not mechanical but emitting spark like sounds. Would you like to help me too find what brand and technology it was?
Zenith and their inventors were pioneers in remote control. It is a really cool part of tech history
If they are selling this, imagine what cool new things they must have now
Good point
My favorite story about these remotes is that of a TV that kept turning off. After the technician was called out several times and found nothing wrong the cause was found. It was their pet parrot who could recreate the frequency that turned the TV off!
Hilarious!
Was that a solder-mizer next too the data-mizer? Better watch yoass
Maybe not floppy
If you tried to make a Tesla turbine out of those big hard drives use very good bearings that thing is a very big pinball when the bearing lock. surprised physics lessons suck.

This is very helpful. I didn't even consider just clipping out a bad part. 😅 thank you!
Yeah it's so much easier than doing it the other way

Kitsch.
Can't hear what he is saying because of that background music. Skip.
Try to measure a capacitor lower than 10pF and see if you like it.
Brilliant idea, the best I’ve found so far, excellent.
I bought one a short while ago... very handy!!
That intro tho. Classic.
Thanks! ;)
Store seems to be shut now .. wonder what happened to all the stuff?
That's sad. Good question though.
I love this and want to replicate it. Have you shared your Teensy code anywhere? Will you? I will give full credit if I can get it working. We had this remote when I was a kid and I'd love to be able to control my Apple TV with it today.
Awsome!!! Thanks
I have the Hakko FR-301, what an amazing tool. For small solder joints I put a nice amount of solder on the tip and let it do the work. In many cases the chip, resistor, capacitor, etc... falls out of the board. I've been suffering using wick or a manual one-click pump all these years. With repairing Commodore computers, you don't wanna stress the board and since many of the chips are no longer available, you don't wanna damage anything when removing it in case it's still a good one.
Wow, this SUCKS!!! I'd be embarrassed to even make a video like this and call it a vocoder.
Well it was my first attempt. No one starts out being perfect but you have to give it a try in order to get better. Success lies on the far side failure.
