That's not an inverter, that's a converter.
Dont you mean, Converter?
Thanks from Chicago
Just subscribed to both channels. I have a 1980 Comuta Car. Running and driving. Upgraded controller and 10 6 VDC golf cart batteries.
just watched you lithium conversion. Where did you get a battery box that would accommodate a larger lithium battery?
Thanks a lot! Worked like a charm on a huge difficult sticker on my window
Very nice video 100% worth it❤
Thank you :)
I appreciate the hell out of this video 🤙🏼🙏🏼
lol this was pitched as "the easy way". its not, it is the cheap way tho which is plenty good enough. very helpful vid thank you
Show how you install them how you got the wiring cables through inside the interior
Here’s how we did it: How To Install An Auxbeam Switch - 6 Gang or 8 Gang th-cam.com/video/HaGgstjLna4/w-d-xo.html
did this on my PC, and it worked amazingly! Left no marks, no residue, and a 100% happy camper. Thanks for the tips!
Something I've been using to weld cracks on my citicar body is a soldering iron with a wide flat tip borrowed from my wood burning kit. I also suggest when possible putting some JB weld on the interior of the body where you fix the cracks from the exterior. Like you mentioned, it's pretty this plastic and most of these cracks are from structural strain so they could pop right back up if you drive it often. Keep it up! I really need to get back to rewiring mine lol
Good advice on the JB weld, I’ve also started using abs cement and a thinner cement that’s closer to the viscosity of water to penetrate cracks.
I did a video on this subject and found that the WIFCO converter does a poor job of charging my lithium ion batteries. I put the jumper cable to cause the 8955AD converter for lithium battery parameters. I just did one week boon docking. The WIFCO 8955AD never reached near 14.5-.6 volts to properly charge my batteries. I only got 13.6 volts out of converter. This resulted my batteries reaching a 13.2 volt settled charge. This is only a 50% LiTime charge capacity. Go Victron. My WIFCO upgrade was $200 wasted.
Thank you for sharing this tip. It works! My brother was able to remove the barcode decal from the side window of my car in just one minute using your method. We like the way you presented your instruction: simple but easy to understand.
Can't wait...
Unfortunately this didn’t help. Maybe my sticker was on too long.
Thinking about doing this on my Predator 8750 generator...
I've got the 3500, and when the battery goes I'm switching.
so how do you remove the sticker on the inside with tint ? :(
Doing it on tint is a royal pain, I've used windex and plastic razor blades, they look like a razor, but are plastic and duller so they wont scratch the tint.
@@CarDoItYourself I was able to get it off, heat gun slightly from the outside while rubbing off gently on the inside with just water and slight amount of dish soap. Took some time, used ammonia free Windex cleaner for the remaining residue
I’m considering putting a LifePo4 into my ‘82 Yamaha. Even if you don’t, I offer two suggestions: 1) install a battery disconnect. You’ll get into the habit of using it after you get done riding. The one I’m installing in my friends bike is a on right off the positive terminal. 2) install a battery maintainer into the bike itself. I have one on my Yamaha so all I have to do is plug in the bike when I get home.
1a) …a knob right on the positive terminal.
I do have a maintainer, but that disconnect is definitely a good idea!
Have you run into any with a cable or something along those lines? This battery is behind a panel so it would be a pain to get to.
@@CarDoItYourself not off hand, but you could definitely take this one and attach it to two cables and mount it somewhere else.
Go check out what Vasily Builds did with one of those. Fastest slice of cheese 🧀 on the road..
I've been following that build!
Thank you. This information is great.
Can't wait to see how you dig into some of the rebuilding on this! I've got a 1975 that was basically a barn find and been working on it slowly for two years now. Trying to stick to the original contactor and charger, all new batteries and motor, and currently fully rewiring everything after getting tired of fighting brake leaks for a full month lol.
Did you switch out the brake system completely? Im considering it. I do have the stock charger if you're in need of one.
Looks fun! Looking forward to seeing the progress.
Thank you!
Hello, great video hey, you mentioned that you reached out to the inverter company which is probably is a WYCO Would you happen to have the phone number? I am having a hard time finding it.
This battery uses lithium iron phosphate cells. They won;t catch fire like other lithium ion cells.
So the jumper will work on your 😊model
Thanks, it helped.
Thank you so much for this!
Superb, fantastic, sir. In India, we have something called FASTag, which after decades of paying cash at toll Plaza on the highway. Our government has rolled out this fantastic system just drive through Toll Plaza and the amount gets debited from our bank accounts. I know I’m rambling on but even after this fantastic system, that government has made out , some random guy made one mistake using my registration card number, registered his name on my car, obviously, it was a mistake After two months of growing follow-ups with the company, they finally cancelled both his and my FASTag Now I am left with a horrible sticker, stubborn one, which just wouldn’t come out with anything until I saw this video Broke my back in my tiny little Volkswagen Polo, and got that sucker out with a blade and some glass cleaner I feel satisfied now, thank you
I hope this works, I've 2 stickers peeling away and they look aweful, going to try this right now. Wish me luck!
Ditto the comment below from gary6559. Thanks so much!
Your Amazon link is broken! Can you please fix?
Totally helped!!
Thank you Allah bless!
I don't care what ANY manufacturer says, NO trans temp should be higher than 180 period
That took me 60 seconds instead of 20 minutes of manually scraping. Thank you!
That really helps
If you don’t have a solder tool.. can you just electric tape the wires together?.
No you need to solder wires together to send the current from one to another
Do you mean "converter"? Because you keep saying inverter.
This worked like a charm! Thanks for the clear and concise instructions. It also worked well on melamine boards.
How do you take a sticker print that went through the sticker from the sun
oh shiet i just got dis problem thanks mah man
worked like a charm
Did you add solar to your trailer yet. I can’t find a video on that?
So what should I do to remove a transponder sticker from the inside of a tinted windshield???
It’s important to know what equipment you’re working with. This is not a INVERTER it’s a CONVERTER. It’s also a AD Auto Detect. WFCO is having problems with detection of lithium batteries. Do you have 14.4 volts to Battery? If not you’re not in Lithium mode.
There sending me a jumper to force lithium only charge on my new WFCO 8900 MBA AD relacement. I had installed dual lithium batteries.
@@KJC63where do you get this jumper and how do you install it?
I just contacted WFCO support via email saying I want the jumper to force lithium. You'll need your WFCO model and give them your address. They just mail it to you for free. They tell you how to install. It just slips on a some pins on the WFCO board. Very easy.
Great info. Way easier than changing the converter out again for one that you can select lithium.
NOTE: your WFCO has to support lithium. The purpose of the jumper is to force it always in lithium properly
Thanks for the video. I was having a hell of a time trying to figure out how that circuit board game out.
Thank you for this helpful tips sir.
I have a reaaaally old sticker that is brittle and won't come out with Windex, isopropyl alcohol or anything! Not sure what to do
Is it on paint or glass?
@@CarDoItYourself It's on glass, sir. The outside of the window facing the street
@@CarDoItYourself It's a really old security company sticker that's probably 20 years old
Wet the glass and scrape it with a razor. Should come right off.
@@CarDoItYourself I'll try it again. I think last time I put rubbing alcohol over it and scraped with a razor and it still wouldn't come off. As if the sun fused it into the glass or something lol 😫
