Installing rock lights
Hey everyone,
In this video I’ll go over how I installed the rock lights on my 2019 Ram 1500. There are so many different ways to installing these, however this is the route I took. I hope it will help someone. Happy installing….

Installing GRDIAN hardwire kit
มุมมอง 185ปีที่แล้ว
So once again I’m having issues with the Nova dash cam. I believe a lot of my issues are from using aftermarket hardwire assemblies. With that said every one I’ve purchased has failed me down the line. So I purchased the actual hardwire kit directly from GRDIAN. This kit is great for extra security as it will record when the truck is off as well. It comes with a battery safety switch which will...

In this video I’ll show you how you can turn off MDS with having a tune. I’m sure this trick has been shared before but I designed this channel to be informative. Enjoy
Will It Pass Inspection???
มุมมอง 182ปีที่แล้ว
It’s been awhile since I’ve uploaded a video, things have been busy but it was time for an inspection so I thought I would share the experience with you all. Will a full bolt on pass state emissions? We’ll find out… Note!! Not all states are the same. Please before doing any modifications on your vehicle be sure its legal in your state.

The long-tubes are here. In this video we go through the process of installing long-tube headers and the difficulty of removing the Active Grill Shutters. We also install a 180 degree thermostat for better cooling. To sum it all up after the install we flash the PCM with custom Hemifever tuning to accept the new modifications.
Let’s see what kind of deal I can work out…..

So the last time I went to the dealership we checked out the Ram 1500 G/T. We discuss the wheels and even got them priced. $900 a wheel ouch! So I did some internet searching and found a shop local that had a few used one’s in stock. Let’s take a drive and check them out. For more check out the video.
New Taillight Mod and we discuss the Ram GT 1500
มุมมอง 7782 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey Guys and Gals in this video I share a new easy and cheap mod for your Ram Taillights. We also take a ride to the dealership to order a set of Ram GT 1500 bed deals and take a look at a Ram GT 1500.
What did the dealership say about my custom tuning?
มุมมอง 1.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
So it’s time for an oil change. My service tech advised me that Ram has a deal where you buy one oil change and get two free. The package includes synthetic oil and Mopar filter all for a total of $200. I decided to go ahead a do it and believe it or not my service tech worked with me and got the total down to $185 out the door. So long story short my next two oil changes are free. Now I decide...
Need your Opinion ???? Should I?

Quick update on the AVS Light Shield Bug Deflector.
มุมมอง 6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
So as I mentioned on the last video, I wasn’t 100% satisfied that I had no control as to when the light bar activates. Well now I do. Just a quick update to show where I decided to mount a toggle switch to have the ability to active the light bar when I want it to.

Installing AVS Light Shield Bug Deflector
The transmission seems to lag on the first and second gear with the limiter set to 8, I stick to 7 or 6 until I pick up, helps a bit.
Thanks for the heads up
What’s the Mopar gasket part number?
i put 94 in my '23 ram $120-$125 for a 33gal tank. I came hear the difference in engine & exhaust note when running 89. I bought a truck, so I don't care about the price of gas.
MDS is horrible for your engine. These trucks are heavy enough it doesn’t help much anyways. When those cylinders disengage you have metal to metal contact in your engine.
Can use the latest iPad instead of a laptop?
Just paid $3.79 for 89 2 years later. SMH
dont like that its 3m to the hood if at any time it burns out good l;uck removing it.. jmo
Can you have multiple tunes like a 97 octane and a 87 octane tune and do you need the device to switch between tunes or can you switch the tunes without it
FACT...If you install a "TUNE" on your truck, you have voided your factory warranty. Read the fine print.
I have a 2013 RAM 1500 R/T 6 speed, where is the gear limiter at?
Your shifter
370 RWHP just from a set of long tubes and a tune?! That means adding in a 20% parasitic loss, the headers and tune added 67 crank hp to an N/A motor (462 bhp vs stock 395 bhp). Somebody is either full of shit or the tuner loaded the rollers to lie like a sum bitch....
Please dont tell me you just said lower the rear. Because if you did, then youre insinuating that in order to hook and launch, "that Thang needs to squat!" Since somebody else has already said it better, i leave you with this: "Shut the f*ck up and go somewhere else. You dont know what youre talkin about." -Secretary of State Rob....
Appreciate the review. Keep in mind, this is super mild "tuning" on a stock naturally aspirated Powerplant. All it does is just massage spark/fueling to optimize the power curve. Its not gonna rocket to 120 mph from highway speeds. If you wanna "feel the power," toss a stinger plate kit from nitrous outlet on it and club it over the head with a 250 shot.
Is mds bad for your engine ?
Yes. It’s horrible.
It ruined my lifter
@@user-xn6ij1ly8dmds doesn’t effect your lifter. That has been proven to be false
@@natedagreat6704i don't care if you believe. I already changed my engine one time😂 I would never trust this MDS anymore
@@user-xn6ij1ly8d why blame your engine breaking on mds?
Truck isn’t close to 7k lbs, it’s about 5700
Yea my crew cab comes in at 5800 and a lil change I forget exactly what but I know it was just above 5800
The software in your truck has to retune itself to the octane. You're not going to get accurate results tank to tank of fuel. Also, why would you think you'd be getting better gas mileage with 89? That's not the point of using it. It's for the higher compression of the Hemi so it can run at it's full potential.
if the engine runs more efficiently, which in theory a higher octane WILL do, then that WILL lead to better mpg's.
My 2014 camry said to run an 87 but it just feels like the gas count for how many miles you have left drop by really quick. I noticed when driving 1 miles, it drop by 2 or 3. So if my destination is 20 miles, it dropped by like 50 total. Then when I switch to 89 and it was a bit better, a 20 miles drive now will cost about 30 on the reading. Still not accurate but better. Not a car expert but should I keep going with it or revert back to 87 for a better life for my engine?
I bought a wreck 2013 Ram I've been fixing it up for a year now and I swear the cheaper gas I get more miles on a tank
Does the dealer have to install to keep warranty? Does it effect warranty at all?
No it won't void your warranty - Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (USA)
How you remove your shutters an did it throw a code.
I have to admit it sounds mean at idle
You want to preserve gas, but you don’t care about preserving your cam and lifters!!????????????
When i pumped 87 in my hemi the gas went by quick i put 91 last pretty good
Do you still have to get the unlocked control module from Diablo sport before doing a hemifever tune?
Yes
You can run it to the fuse F43 so it comes on when you start your truck.
Are you afraid to floor it or what ? 😆
where are my comments?
...when switching back up to 89, it takes a few tanks for the computer (or a hard reset) before the computer advances the ignition to better mileage.
What pids are u logging with ram ?
Back when trucks ran hundreds of thousands of miles, you would use 89 to prevent misfires and detuning. You would lose millage and cost, but the engine was protected for the long haul. You also got more power from the octane boost, in the V8. Now that trucks are 'built to break', in so many other ways, you will start to spend endless money on other problems near 100,000 miles. The prices have skyrocketed too. I find that you can run 87 without any real damage. It runs for plenty of time, before rust or other failures replace the effort. The cost and mileage, plus unreliability, make it pointless to put in 89. If you're a safety pro, want Mopar power, or are wealthy, then 89 is for you.
Tanks for putting this video up! But it's funny to see Americans complaining about their gas prices. Come to Sweden and have a taste of *DESPAIR!* 😂 Right now (oct 2023) diesel is the equivalent of appr. 8.5 $/G. Prices in the video are from yesteryear but that's close to double! Price of electronics and automobiles is around 35% up over American prices as well.
My 5.7 2017 ram owner's manual states that 87 octane is "acceptable" but 89 octane is "recommended" so I've used 89 octane since day one, mostly from Chevron, sometimes Shell.
3.26 a gallon would be nice right about now
I can't remember the last time it was that price in CA lol 1985
U get 15 to 16mpg on a 5.7 liter get 13 -14 mpg on a v6 3.6 liter ram how does that make sense
They have to move nearly the same weight so the bigger motor has an advantage there
Something might be wrong with your v6. I have had them both and the v6 gets better mileage. Maybe you haven't fully broke it in yet?
Probably a lot of city driving. On the highway, the v6 will get a little bit better gas mileage in comparison to its v8 counterpart in this situation
its always been that way. The bigger motor uses more fuel but will also move the truck with ease. the 6 cycli der has to work harder. you're not really getting a smaller engine for better fuel economy. it's all about affordability. In some cases, the smaller engine is more fuel efficient, but your best bet is more power. try towing with both, the bigger engine will tow better and drink less fuel. out west when everything is flat, the 6 cylinder should do better but not in mou.tain terrain
What are the horsepower improvements?
They'd cover it either way
What exhaust do you have ? Sounds great
That disgraced American flag
Nice but your truck is no where near 700lbs. You may want to be a 3/4 ton trust me you will not have those numbers if you were.
I believe your truck is around 5k if not +/- by much.
No your correct on this one,,I’m loosing miles switching to 89 from 87
I put a blue light rocker switch, ran power to the battery with a in-line fuse
Do you have drone at this point?
I get better mileage with mds off. I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic with the 5.7 Hemi and 3.92 posi rear-end. With MDS on the truck is constantly going in and out of MDS. With it off my mileage increased by 2 mpg and it's more responsive.
So this is turning out to be a longer process than what I thought it would be. I got my unlocked PCM last week and followed the procedures that needed to be done before swapping the PCM. I disconnected my battery then I removed the gray/silver connector, but then the tan/beige connector wouldn’t come undone at all. In the process of trying to get it off, I ended up breaking the red latch off. So in the end, I was unable to get the connector off and had to take it to the dealership to have them get it off plus put a new latch on it. I went and picked my truck up from the dealership yesterday and brought it home and immediately swapped my PCM since I had already installed the bypass module and gotten the stock tune onto the tuner last Thursday. So then I continued on with the process and selected which tune I wanted to do and then it asked me if I wanted to customize the tune or add it as is. By this time it was starting to get late and I had to go to bed so that way I could get up for work early in the morning. I tried to see if my truck could start and it would start and run for maybe one second and then die. It did this a total of five times until it no longer wanted to start. I’m hoping as long as I finish up tuning later on today when I get home from work but after doing that, my truck will finally start. If I keep having problems, I’m gonna have to just throw my stock PCM back in my truck since I have to pull my travel trailer next week.
Where did you find the afr pid? I can’t find it on mine.
Hey buddy, I still don’t see how you actually do it. I’m planning to buy the same. But don’t know how to set it up. All the things you talked about, I don’t really understand the technicality. If you show what you actually do. That would be fantastic, thanks in advance.
Updates?
5.5 and under is where it's at for trucks and suvs 2023.
Odd way to look at it , 2 seconds behind?!?!
