Works on any battery! Be sure the terminals are clean. Something that worked for me, was connecting it and leaving it for 2-3 mins before cranking Hope that helps

It’s over engineering. They try to make this door handle that innovative but it just ends up being more of a hassle and a pain for your typical non tesla fanboy driver.

They should of just made it a button to press rather than a full handle

@@marshall3861 It's a very simple design.. Shouldn't be an issue (unless OP is correct lol). Similar ones have been used in tons of other vehicles.. Plus it looks way cleaner than a "normal" handle. I don't think you even need them to open the door, tho. Pretty sure It's there in case there is an issue with power, servo fail, ice, etc.

@elidakin1958 so I had the same set up, and I liked it, however I wanted the sidepipe look, but I didn’t think my car was right for the look so I went with almost like H pipes but with the outlets right in front of the rear tire. I have pictures on my community posts!

You know, I was actually thinking about this as I was cranking the corvette and realized, the feeling of turning a key on a car, now days everything is click and phone connections lol. I agree, the corvette has really nice curves haha

@@c3sgarage Thanks. Does he have a 4 speed or automatic? The 76 is a 4 speed and I like the flat rear window. They changed the window I believe after the 77 model... My friend will sell to me at a great price. I bought a 1976 Datsun 280z from him when he brought the Vette in 1989. He is older now. (20 years older than me.) He is tired of the stick shift because of his leg. He has an 81 Vette that is an automatic. He will move into that car once he update some of the interior pieces.

Yeah, so its your typical long nosed, fastback window, very similar to the one i currently own. I believe it is an automatic, brand new paint, side pipes and a couple of other upgrades. I will be doing a post on it soon, just waiting on him to send me info on the numbers, miles, upgrades etc. Good luck with your purchase and feel free to email me with any questions.

@@c3sgarage Thanks, mate! I have a resto-mod project on my mind, and it will take me some time to prepare for this adventure. However, I'd appreciate some advice on where other than Craigslist to look for deals in New York, Boston, Miami, or Pittsburg. I've been thinking for some time already to spend a couple of months in the US alone and with my cousin's family, who lives in the Pittsburg area, and I'll need a ride to get around. I would have to get the ride either near my point of entry or my cousin's town. Maybe start working on the car there so as not to ship, say, engine parts later. Who knows, it's nothing but a venture at this point. As for prices in the EU, -- it's half fair, half robbery. Obviously, you in the US have a much larger supply of vintage US cars; I'm now sitting on maybe 10 total offers in my state and 20 in neighbouring states, with prices sitting around $40k. However, 95% of those are already restored. I'll have to throw away a lot of brand-new parts to have it as I want it. And those eligible for restoration are frankly in poor condition. I'm speaking deep rust, missing parts, overheating engine, "dunno, won't even start" poor conditions. And best of all, I still have to pay the same import duty if I bring the wheels from the neighbouring town 100 miles across the border as I would from the US and then pay the difference in VAT on top of that. I see that as an insult, frankly speaking :) When importing from outside the EU, though, taxes and import duties are infuriating. The VAT alone brings the price up by a quarter because it is calculated from the total cost of the goods, including shipping costs and import duty. But hey, at least there are 10x more offers in the US, and I could browse for a perfect match instead of dealing with what's available, which is not much.

@vladsikorsky7931 Yeah, upon reading this and talking to a couple of friends over london (putney) I got the same situation back, they are expensive, they are total messes, and because they were imported previously, they charge an arm and a leg for them. One of my colleagues brought a point on having a c3 in a not so suitable weather. He told me that he owned a classic car as well and because he had to maintain it outside , the car built rust and mold for some reason. On a positive note, Corvettes do rust, however is not the body but the chasis and components. So there’s that lol As for where to buy, I would say Facebook market has a pretty decent lineup depending on your budget. I would go as far as to say that Offer up is a good alternative and it was where I found the one I currently own. It truly sucks how bad the import of cars is and but it is the same if I want to import a GTR or a supra from overseas. As mentioned, I am just a click away to help and although I am not an expert, I can ask around and if I need to, I can make a video on the subject. I wish you good luck!

I would agree with this 💯 but I learned about the rust because the previous owner actually did it himself so I could see. But yes most owners dont
