Very detailed and informative! Very good!
Thanks! I'm really happy these videos continue to help!
If i am on a cruise, why would i want to get on another boat? 😮 We made the best we could when we got off the ship in Puerto Limón. People were super pleasant. We walked around and enjoyed what we could right in the little town without going too far.😊
I did enjoy our time in town, which was all too short. The river trip was cool because we could cozy up to sloths and monkeys!😀
Great video! I walk off with my luggage and take a cab to the airport. That’s essential if you’re in a rush to catch your flight.
Yep. That's what we do exactly. Very short trip to the airport! We just have carry ons.
As a St Lucian living in Canada when I heard $15.00 US total each way I was surprised and thought wow that was special & cheap price but $40 each way is the correct price. As they charge per seat and considering the distance.
Noted. Thank you.
Given that taxi prices there are not regulated, we had no absolute way to judge price. The price we got quoted at the end of the ride was NOT what we initially agreed to- $40 each way for a 10 minute trip seemed excessive. Our second taxi driver agreed to 20 for the whole way back (same distance), plus added stops along the way.
How do you navigate from place to place?
Google maps. I'd research points of interest ahead of time and save them in favorites before the trip. But it's just starting point. Maps still worked on most of the island. Plus the island is small.
I have found that the best place to buy a Panama hat, (and a lot of other things like hand woven scarves etc.) is Antigua Guatemala. I know this is not the best place to mention it. But useful going forward. Plus a comment is a comment.
Appreciate it, my friend! I would vote for that too. Actually, anything hand done and local. But for an FYI, here comes the short.🙂
Thanks man, going there next week.😂
Lucky! Have an awesome time! 😁
Friends: I absolutely love you videos! We are preparing for a UK cruise in 2026. These videos are SO HELPFUL! I was in Belfast last spring and took that Black Cab tour...it was a truly moving experience! Thank you so much, and I look forward to viewing all of your videos!
Thank you so much! We really enjoyed Belfast and hope to come back, there alot to take in. We especially liked the market! Here's hoping you find your next cruise soon!
Thank you very much for sharing! Great video! Like 25
Thanks!
Wonderful report... thank you for providing accurate pictures to help in decision making... we usually go out of Port Canaveral... in few weeks we go out of FLL...
Great! Glad the video helped and hope you have wonderful trip!
Gen Xer here, I lost my medallion in Rhode Island right before queuing up for the tender BACK to ship. Luckily I had my ID on me so they let me on and instructed me to go directly to customer service for a replacement. It was a port day so there was no line. Less than 5 minutes later I had a new one complete with name printed. So yeah, no shame to the young man. It happens to us seasoned sailors too! 😅
I should let him know that! What made this one a bit worse was this was embarkation day, so very busy. But cool, I'll pass this along. Thanks!!
Thank you👍 kind sir
This is the room I’m booked in.
Cool. My mother and father in law stayed here and they were quite comfortable. Don't forget to check out the "secret balcony" nearby.🤫
I have a long wait, not going until December 2026😢. My first princess cruise.
Worth the wait tho! Big and luxurious!
Great video, my husband and I are going to Bimini. I wanted to do a private tour, thanks for the information.
Quite welcome! Hope you have a wonderful time!
Pronounced Steye ve sant
Noted. Thank you!
Thank you very helpful video. Where is the i heart pr sign? Which dock is it closet too?...dock 4..i guessing by the video. Just want to double check
Yes it was. Right next to all the cabbies. 🙂
Are there bathrooms on Radio Beach?
There should be facilities along with the food vendors close to shore.
@@ThePortLowdown Thanks!
I'll be going to Half Moon Cay on March 2nd and I can't wait to see this beautiful gem!!! Thanks for the video!
You're welcome. We really enjoy it there!
This video help me so much . Thank you ❤
You're quite welcome. I hope you have a wonderful trip!
Last year my family and I walked the blue line to el centro and it was a nice peaceful walk. I highly recommend it and it is only a 15 minute walk. We have done three cruises to this destination but only walk the blue line once. Mazatlán is safe in my opinion.
With Blue shirt volunteers to help and offer a great welcome, it's one of the more pleasant experiences during our trips to Mexico. 🙂
Is it even worth going to Greece anymore? I don't want to be part of the 6000+ human tsunami that supposedly descends on these places. Wall to wall people is not my idea of a good time under any circumstances. I _can_ stand the heat. But my translucent Canadian/Scottish complexion makes direct sun very undesirable. Even _with_ sunblock.
Yeah, I hear you about crowds. Our schedule limited us to summer, so there you go. If we had more time, exploring the smaller islands might have been better. Our ideal time to visit is closer to shoulder season, around October. Much less crowds and cooler weather. At the moment, we're part of the invading herd. And it was hot! I wear that silly duck bill hat for a reason- it saves me! I would say Greece is such a rich and important destination, it's worth going to - on the off season if you can manage it.
@@ThePortLowdown Thank you for your reply. I'm retired and my wife can vacation whenever she wants. So on your advise, we will be looking at the off seasons.
Great! And lucky you! I'd love to know how it all works for you. 👍👍
BTW, this lady's website has some good info too. Not cruise related, but pretty detailed about all things Greek www.greecetravelsecrets.com/
Just letting you know Scotiabank is not pronounced Sco-tee-ah. It's prnounced Sco-sha like Nova Scotia.
Oooooh man! Thanks, that's an important note for me. I frequently miss pronunciation, but I try. If you really want to laugh, try some of my Iceland videos...Lots of pitfalls in Icelandic!
Recommend visiting the HMCS Sackville, tied up just behind the Maritime Museum. It is the last Flower class corvette from the WW2 Battle of the Atlantic. If you watched Tom Hank's "The Greyhound" you will have seen the Sackville as callsign "Dicky". It's a 30 minute to one hour visit, and is great because there is so much you can see and visit. Well worth the visit.
Very cool. I DO enjoy military ships, and that will be on my to-do list next time around. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for posting this video...
Thanks! Glad to see this first video is still being useful!
Greetings, I may have missed it...but what month and year did you travel? Thank you for your video!
June 2024. Thanks for watching!
Did the California Coast on the Majestic in October 2024. I really enjoyed it but am concerned about the upcoming dry dock that will change things. Appears the changes will duplicate the other Royal class ships by removing the Chinese flavor. This will be disappointing as it added wonderful character to the ship.
I hear you. I'd rather have more variety across their ships, but their biggest consumers are still the US. Even on Asian cruises.
I agree about not using those machines but also, consider getting a brokerage account with Schwab. They refund ATM fees at the end of the month no matter where you used the ATM.
It's not Domínica but Dominíca. Please pronounce my Island home's name properly
Noted. Thank you!
The ship is not small. It is on the larger of the medium sized at 113,000 tons. 3114 passengers and 1200 crew. Too much detail on the laundry rooms, but they are great and a good plus over other cruise lines. I prefer the peaceful music that “Visit with us” uses. This was rather loud. Thx for video, good to see all those areas. Have been on her, but one forgets. Due to go to Norway on her in June 2025.
Thanks for watching the video. Have a great trip!
Cabin C104
Thanks for coming to my country Dominica 🇩🇲🇩🇲🇩🇲🇩🇲🇩🇲🇩🇲
Great job
Thanks! It was fun!
Your videos are very informative, thank you
Thanks so much! And Happy New Year!
to the right of the grocery store is a lil green building which is a ice cream shop. the bubble gum an cotton candy was really good. love this island.
I think this is the same one we went to. The rum raisen was good too!
Very very good video!🎉
Thanks so much, and Happy New Year!
Why are they charging for internet in the first place? They spend a lot of money to bock your internet while you are on ship. Very wrong and a rip off.
Ships, like planes, are "moving targets" that can only connect via satellite. 5 years ago, these systems weren't available to the public or very expensive and slow. So progress is moving along as far as access, but those satellite systems are still expensive to install, use, and maintain. Hopefully, tech will keep getting cheaper. In the meantime, we sometimes opt out of buying access and wait to dock so we can jump on local 4 or 5G.
@ThePortLowdown They use starling now. No excuse. They have it if you pay it. 😆 🤣 😂
@@thegoodspear17Then don’t go. No one likes doom scrollers on ships anyhow, ppl like you tend to sap everyone’s energy. Not to mention ruin the fact you’re incapable of seeing the million and one things that other hospitality industry that don’t offer
Headed out in 5 days! West to East through new locks. Then from Colon the separate excursion through the old locks. Super excited and hope there is a good lecture!! Thanks for your tips.
You're welcome!
Thx so much! Great interesting video! We are determined to visit Dominica. That walk looks perfect. But we were interested in seeing the resident sperm whales!! Last time the Enchanted Princess couldn’t dock due to swells. Smaller ship next time! Maybe Holland Instead!! 👍 Happy New Year!
Port cancellations are not uncommon in the Caribbean, since many docks face the fickle open ocean. Hope you get to see your whales! Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind that tour too. 🙂
Thank you for all the information, it would be possible yo have the taxi info? I’m traveling to Cartagena and would like to use his service.
Sorry, I don't have his card. His driver or cab ID may be visible in the video at 6:10.
Everything is too expensive. We have been on so many cruise ships trip and the beaches at those islands aren’t very good.
Well, I have to agree that these dedicated resort beaches are not always the best. It's really about the convenience and comfort of staying on a cruise line property.
The drink package applies to this island??
Yes. Under their terms and conditions, the drink packages apply to their private islands.
Great video man
Thanks!
That is how they are
I assume you mean the taxi drivers.
@@ThePortLowdown first taxi driver wasnt good, anyways am from d island and i remembered this day, i saw myself in your video , it was raining a lot

Awesome! Wish we were there!
Thank you for this pertinent information.

I am not so much heat sensitive as sun sensitive. Despite being fifth generation Canadian my translucent Scottish complexion dictates shade, shade, shade and a thick coat of sunblock.
I'm the same way and, frankly, this port had the most intense heat I'd ever experienced at a port this far. So pack a good hat and keep the sunblock handy. Totally worth it tho.
