I have been on this ship and loved it. All the crew members were so friendly and helpful The food was great too. Boarding was easy.Entertainment was excellent. Try it out, you will love it
Extremely well done photo journalism of the Caribbean Princess. Just enough narration to move us through the segments. Background music well done and not overpowering. You obviously filmed during off peak hours to give us a clean view of the venues and outdoor areas. You made this about the ship and not the ship and I appreciate this. Look forward to exploring more of your work.
What a great tour of this ship. We will be on next June for Alaska, so I’m glad to see that her age isn’t showing terribly. Thank you for this excellent, thorough video.
Excellent vlog excellent information That will be a great help for us, we sail on this ship for the 1st time on Sunday 28th July 2024 Sailing from Southampton UK going to Greenland and Iceland on a 16 night cruise. We now have a good knowledge for the ship many thanks
Thanks so much! We really enjoy Princess. Actually, we're in the middle of travel and just got done with a series of cruises in Europe, including Iceland. Can't wait to get those port reports out!
You took this cruise quite a while ago? We were just on the CP in May 2024 in Europe. 40 cruises and we both had to use the Medical Center. Very impressed with the care we received.
@@ThePortLowdown For us it was the first time ever. I was surprised at how busy it would be when first opened as far as how many patients, but then I'd never been to the Medical Center, so we don't know what the norm is. You walk in and if you're not the first then you are in a line with several people who have different ailments. My wife broke her ankle on the second day on an excursion and I came down with the mother of all colds (not covid-2 negative tests) while in London before the cruise. the receptionist (Lean) could not have been more professional and helpful and accolades to the medical staff who were instrumental in at least giving my wife some sense of mobility for the remainder of the cruise (9 days). Typical general practice office in that when they take you back you don't see anything other than the waiting room.
Wow, I hope the rest of your trip was manageable with all that! Best to your wife! And to answer your first question, we sailed her in April, so pretty recent.
Yes, we did. Compared to previous times, the speed is pretty good, even during sea days. Good enough for a video phone call. Some routes are better than others and depends on how many are on the internet.
The main dining room should have hours for all meals. Buffet and International Cafe should also be available. Poolside lunch spots are also available. You should be covered!
You can use so long as you bought an internet package. Once purchased, you can use your credentials to access. It's worth checking if there are empty tables there also without a screen. You'll be able to set up laptops there, and even bring in food.
@TeaunaChestnut Do you mean the pool at the Lido deck or the Lotus Pool? The Lotus pool, I believe, is adults only, but the Lido deck pool is open to all.
I’m onboard this ship right now and the food has been mostly bad from top to bottom. The food at the buffet has been unappetizing looking and quite bland. The meat at the carving station is consistently dry. I have dined in the main dining room twice and it was disappointing both times. The first time, I had corn chowder and their fried chicken. The soup was cold and needed a lot of pepper and salt to taste like anything and the fried chicken coating was soggy from the sauce and the meat inside was dry. The second time I got their French onion soup and pan seared salmon. The soup was actually ok, no major complaints. The salmon was absolutely terrible. It was so dry I couldn’t finish it and the sauce had no saffron flavor despite it being described as a saffron sauce on the menu. The service on the second night was also not very good. We ended up leaving without dessert because we were sat in front of our dinner plates for at least 15-20 minutes. Steamers, the seafood restaurant, was passable. The lobster tail and crab legs I added to the fried platter were surprisingly good, as was the fried haddock and fish croquettes. The burger from the restaurant by the pool was also way overcooked(better than under I guess), I watched the cook cutting into the meat as he cooked it, making the burger very dry. The burger also had several inedible pieces of gristle throughout. The best food has consistently been the finger foods at the Skywalker Club. Very disappointed in the food, I went into my first cruise expecting much more. My travel group is made up of many seasoned cruisers who have say this is a marked decline in food quality since their last princess cruise. I still have tables booked at the steakhouse and Italian restaurant on board. I hope they don’t disappoint, but the track record isn’t great. All the crew has been wonderful and friendly. Except for Rohit, the bartender at explorers, he seems surly and in a bad mood all the time. My travel group has noticed this too
Eeek! Now that really is surprising and disappointing to hear! Sorry about so many things going wrong. I wonder if there's a mid-journey survey you can give them or send feedback through Guest Services?

Thank you! I try to shoot very early in the morning to avoid disturbing other passengers. It's great to see the effort is worth it! Thanks again!
Best tour of this ship I have watched!
Thanks so much! Really appreciate the kind words.

I'm curious since I'm never allowed to film inside, what was the process to get care?

Do they have an "adult only" pool?
The Sanctuary pool is your best bet, followed by the aft pool.
Did you use the internet? How was the speed if so?
Yes, we did. Compared to previous times, the speed is pretty good, even during sea days. Good enough for a video phone call. Some routes are better than others and depends on how many are on the internet.
Are restaurants open for breakfast and lunch? We already reserved for dinners.
The main dining room should have hours for all meals. Buffet and International Cafe should also be available. Poolside lunch spots are also available. You should be covered!
I should say that lunch in the main dining room is on sea days.
6:00 Would be nice to know if Internet center is free

Is the lap pool an adults only pool?

@@ThePortLowdown yes it would be the pool by the Lotus Spa
Ok, don't ever remember seeing kids there.

Do they make gluten free pizza?
Yes, you can. From what I hear, it's good.
