Wow, Dansby...that is over a decade ago! How times flies! Wonder if drafting a prospect like either Lander Barton, ILB/OLB (Utah), Jamon Dumas-Johnson, ILB (Kentucky), or Deontae Lawson, OLB (Alabama), would be a good pairing with Jordyn Brooks. Kinda wild, that the Fins & Seahawks, pretty much traded LBers, and Miami won that. Baker got cut this year.

Thanks for this great content. I know you’ve done an analysis of Robinson most weeks. Just my opinion, but I hope you keep giving us this kind of stuff on him going forward. It’s very interesting to follow his progress through the season. After the first five weeks, I was getting a Charles Harris vibe, but he’s really turning into a fine player.

@Rydermcconville with Holland likely gone in the summer, what do you think of switching Kohou to safety? Replacing Holland in-house would be great cap-wise, plus as much as I like Kohou and his no-nonsense playstyle, I think he's proven he can't go 1-on-1 with fast wideouts due to his lack of pace himself. However I think he projects well in a safety/nickel hybrid roll, where he can line up deep and not have to match no.1 and no.2 receivers stride for stride downfield.

greatest attribute up until now for Chop has definitely been his Availability...

Why is there no one talking about the Dolphins defense not scoring any points like in the previous years? We have not seen any 2 point safeties and the special teams hasn't scored as well, except for field goals. Was AVG that important to this defense, or is it just bad play calling and no coaching up the players? Our Dolphins are only averaging 20 points per game. In the 2023 season it was 30 points per game. I think the 2024 20 points per game average has to do with the defense not contributing. Go Chop, we're desperate for another AVG.

You can tell Chop jas really taken all the advice the vets like Chubb, Campbell and Armstead have been giving him to heart. He wants to improve and is open to coaching. Thats a great combo with his natural talents.

As I was watching the game . I was surprised the Niners LB's weren't gaining more depth and we kept hitting those in breaking routes with Tyreek. Especially with Waddle out and the Niners being familiar with our style of offense. It's like they were over committing to the run at times, but we had them on their heels. Solid game. Achane is awesome. It really shows what he's capable of if we can just open up some running lanes for him more often.

Ryder, This defense display here..bend but don't break? This was a tough battle. Under Coach Kyle, regardless of their record, they always play tough. The outlier was when they faced the Bills. That was a really bad day for the 49ers, all around. I wish, this was, the "get right game" for the Fins, that could turn it around. It sure is a morale boost game. How will the Fins respond after this? They got to win out now. A loss to the Browns or Jets, says, this win over the 49ers, was a fluke. Nearly like last year, when the Fins destroyed the Broncos, only to get beat by the Bills. Fins have to find a way, to keep using that momentum when they got it. That was also evident vs the Packers. That was a game they could have won too. That is another narrative that needs to change. Fins Up!

Ryder, I'd actually let Chubb play this contract out, unless he wants to leave. However..next year...if the Fins could add a solid NT/DT and a DE/DT, along with younger faster OLB for depth via the UDFA pool , to groom as starters or solid depth, this defense could get a quick upgrade. A case, where a retool, could be done, if done properly and it does not cost much. Like you said, I'd resign Ogbah, in a backup role. Campbell too. Ogbah, Seiler & Campbell, are veteran leaders, who can really help young guys out. Ogbah & Campbell, in backup roles, are like having extra Dline coaches. The Fins need all the help they can get. If he decides to retire, I'd hope Weaver would bring in Kyle Van Noy. His locker room and leadership skills help so much. Fins Up! It's like I said..if Tart would have stayed and played like he is with the Chargers, geez..this defense would be so much better. That really hurt. No matter..got to get that guy via the draft. Bottom line, is that the Fins have a lot of pieces in place. They can get young very fast. They just have to do it, and not be content with that they got now. And not go into the process, half way. Last year I saw Achane run down Tyreek hill during a deep pass to Hill and he caught up to Hill and threw a block lol... Just think how fast you got to be to run down Tyreek Hill. I know he is not as fast as the Cheetah but man he is very fast.

Not to get too much into that conversation, but this is why McDaniel is not going anywhere. There is no future or current head coach in existance in this universe or in the MCU/DCU/Snyderverse/Tarentionverse or 388 dimensions who will EVER use Achane like this. They would just run him into the ground put him in a situation to get concussed and then use it as an excuse to draft their own running back. McDaniel is going to build his blocking in the backfield tree and route tree. I think McDaniel is going to make Achane what in baseball is called a five tool player.
