Just so you know, it's a bad idea to use copper wire to clean out your jets & small orifaces in your carburator. It breaks off too easy. You can use oxy-accetalyne torch cleaners or pull out a steal wire out of a wire brush & work it straight & roll it on a grinding wheel to thin it out. Roll the end over with a needle nose to make a handle. Make sure your manifold O-ring seals aren't leaking. It's common for them to leak. FXR is a nice bike. I got one too. Best bike I ever owned. An S&S super E carburator works great on Harleys. Nice motorcycle.

dont need to remove ac compressor. remove 2 bolts for coolant over flow tank, remove power sterring pump and 1 bolt on the line, remove the 2 body side bolts on the motor mount and jack the motor up about half an inch and it can be removed from the top was abit of turning. did one like it yesterday

Those connector are there cause them bike share all the grounds and 12 volts

My 07 Heratige runs great with a LITHIUM.

I've been running the same lithium battery in my 03 Dyna for a year with no problems so far. Sorry yours turned out to be a dud hopefully they can warranty it or something. Shout out to your Honda Hawk 400 and your CX500. I used to have the same bikes and I rode the crap out of the CX all over the country.

wow, to think I've been running the same lithium batt in my fatboy for the last 8 years, all this time I've been wrong. I guess i'll go back to changing an AGM every year. Maybe i'll get some of those wheels and tires that won't hold air too. SMH

I had an Anti Gravity lithium ion battery on my Sporty and it lasted 1 year. Switched back to AGM type.

Good information. I had a friend give me an HD lithium ion battery that didn't fit his bike. I've been hesitant to install it. I will just pick up another AGM for my softail. My current battery is 5yrs old and is now needing to be trickle charged once in a while.

The security and fob bikes have to stay on the tender or they will be dead in less than a week if you don't undo the negative. No matter the battery.

I don't think you can use a standard trickle charger on lithium ion battery.

Trust me put a flash light behind the innner primary and look at the belt sprocket the main seal for the transmission is there change it together with shift shaft seal fifth gear seal quad seal like that you never have to go back in there again

Hola mi pana if you already have the primary out and you taking out the clutch I suggest you that you take off the inner primary and do the transmission main seal fits gear seal and quad seal these bikes are notorious for leaking from the transmission also do shift seal I did all that mines you are already there

Hey men that break pedal has to line up almost with the points cover bolt that pedal is sitting way to low I just finished doing full frame restoration on two fxrs a 91 and a 87 but looking forward to see what you do with it

Those thrashin boards are sick. I’ve been running them on my 12 king for a year or so now. I’ve got there shifter setup too, and soon I’ll have that adjustable brake arm as well. Hell I’m even running their derby and points cover, plus I’ve got a bunch of their parts on my wife’s sportster. @thrashinsupplyco makes killer parts and I LOVE that their American made.

Me and my son just finished our fxrs mines is a 1987 and his is 1991 he has one of one rear Paint pearl white which fxr bazzard confirm that it was only one unit painted on that color we did full frame restoration on both bikes they came out great also upgraded the bikes to with best suspension to ride them hard
