forgotten dailies
United States

What are forgotten dailies?
To me, they are the cars we used to see on the roads daily. The daily drivers. The cars that people bought, drove to work on a daily basis. Not all of these cars were destined to be classics or to remain in nice condition.
We hunt for those cars to try to help save the ones that survived their daily duties. Many of these cars were neglected and left to go back to nature and forgotten about. We find these cars and we drag them to the shop and we remove all of the parts we can to help save those that have survived or are being revived and given a second life.
We also on occasion, find one that needs to be revived. We either try to do that ourselves, or find them a good home.
We can be considered a forgotten dailies rescue!!!
We LOVE these old Chrysler Turbo Cars. We have a few of our own and we also run an ebay store under forgotten dailies where we list all of the parts from these cars that we get in.

I've always loved NOS parts also. Have a couple of bins of them I've collected over the years for my 84' Daytona Turbo Z. Back in 03' when I got the car there was still quite a few things you could get from the dealers but nowadays, fuggedaboutit. Years back on Ebay I was lucky enough to find a complete boxed factory NOS set of the front air fence and both side skirts with all the rivets to attach them still in sealed bags. I figure it's got to be 1 of almost none that are still out there. The 80's NOS stuff is pretty tough to find.
Years ago I ll worked in the parts department of a Chrysler dealer. Early 90s. I could've ordered anything i wanted but didn't.
@@forgottendailiesllc True. If we knew in hindsight. If I realized I'd be buying another one almost 20 years later after buying my first one in 84", I could have bought every single part I need now. I try not to think about it lol.
That hood scoop looks like the Direct Connection scoop for the L body. You needed this scoop for use with the Direct Connection intercooler package as it required cutting a huge hole in your hood. I've quite a few of these in the 90's at the Mopar Atlantic Nationals in Englishtown New Jersey.
Awesome thanks!! Idk what I'll do with it yet. Maybe keep it for Carlisle next year.
Lucky the ones that live near you, I have been trying o get parts for my 1990 ES, like the outside driver side door handle and the rear light assemblies, this is the bad part of living in Puerto Rico.
Should have had you cut the front cross brace out...need that and the front floorboards for my 2-door L-body.
521 pounds was the ending weight of this poor Horizon!!!
I’d say 595
Just a bit over. It was 521. Someone else was at 525
I’m guessing 1,250 lbs. and my dad’s guess is 1,400 lbs.
Thank you for your guesses! We will be announcing the winner on September 9th at 7pm est
Great, once I purchase the van, I will get a price from u. Those on the Daytona are the design I want
Sounds good. We have several sets of them.
Momma cat should be the mascot for the forgotten dailies. You may want to have a few of those shirts made up and sell them in the store. Good advertising and a easy way to get your name out. Cool color scheme on this one. I really like the leather trim and seats. Hopefully, the motor can be snapped back to life. Should help keep a few more turbo dodge cars going. I think it’s going to be spring before I get the Shelby Z’s drivetrain rebuilt and back in the car and running. I’m getting closer to the finish line and that first drive. Thanks for another entertaining video!
Momma cat is definitely a star in the videos and she deserves some recognition lol I was really hoping this one wasn't full of rust but sadly I think it is. Floors are one thing, but rockers, wheel wells and inner fenders just add way too much.
I told him to lay all those parts out and get good pictures. Good for you
I took a chance. Very nice people
Awwwwww Seriously!!!!!! You got THAT car? Ugh. I was messaging him. He told me the manufacturer date. I thought that it was a Dodge corporate big wig car being from Detroit. Just a very early car. The wood grain is just like the LeBarons. I added wood grain to my 1st 86 CS
I'm really thinking someone used the nos woodgrain and put it back into the bags. I've never seen a Daytona with woodgrain. I'm hoping not, but I'm not holding my breath. I find it strange it's not a digital dash car with all of the other options including EVA
@@forgottendailiesllc correct on digital. I loved the wood grain in the LeBaron so much I sought one out in a junk yard to do my own conversion. You know they are the same pieces.
@@stephenbraun9951 yes but I'd love the black to be nos for my gtc
The build date is 2-85 so a mid year car so maybe the CS package is legit. Right now we are working on getting it running. The starter just clicks.
@@forgottendailiesllc I can foresee this car being a corporate executive car and early build from C&C to promote their work. Just a thought. It happened to previous Mopars and this IS a Detroit car.
When I first saw the title I was praying it was going to be an 84". Nope! So's my life 😩. A nice find either way. Must be a very late 85' as with everything I've ever read 86' was the first year for the CS. Also those taillights with the emblems attached to the bottom were definitely an 86' year style change. I'd say the woodgrain was definitely done by a previous owner for as far as I'm aware that was never an option on Daytonas. I'll look forward to whatever you list on Ebay for the parts.
I agree on the late 85. I am going to look at the door. The emblems on the lights are correct, those were 85-86. And I agree on the woodgrain. I was really hoping the black parts were nos because I have a perfect home for them
I can tell those roads are totaled as you’re loaded. I’ve done that drive loaded too. It’s rough

Very cool! Its a ahame so many classics are rotting away but its suvh a blessing when people like you save them. Im working on a plan to restore some older cars, too.
We try to save as much as we can. Sadly so many of these were left to rot away and with very little aftermarket parts it is very difficult to fully restore one of these.
I'm not sure about the CS in 85 but I do know the Lazer XT came out mid year 85. 85 XT pretty rare especially the t top option.
I was kinda thinking it might be a mid or late 85.
Cool. Another find. The car review channel Shooting Cars posted 2 videos today. A 93 Shadow V6 convertible and an 89 Shadow ES turbo. Haven't watched them yet so don't know if they're any good. Thanks again for saving these parts from the crusher. I still can't believe they are getting hard to find. Seems like yesterday these parts were everywhere.
Honestly, I absolutely love doing this. I've learned so much in the past few years and always try to continue to learn.

Our tent was still there. We came later to pack it up. . Jonymopar.
I'm hoping next year I'll be able to go look at some more cars!
Remind me does this have a PDC, or does it use fusible links? I would like to get the fusible links out of my 87 Shelby Z or 85 GLH with an 87 Turbo II in it. I know a 92 has them but can't recall if a 90/91 does. I'd be interested in that with some additional wire hooked to it if it turns out it does and it's in good shape!! I had a 93 Shadow ES with the 3.0 and auto tranny...and like most of them the transaxle didn't make it...and everyone in the yard had its auto removed...a common failure point on that setup...so combined with that and it was getting really rusty and nickel and diming me to death...it too got sacrificed to the crusher. Now if it were the Turbo I4 I wanted...wouldn't have been the case. Didn't realize at the time that Ma Mopar quite putting them in there after 91.
In 1990 they had to pick either air bag or automatic shoulder belt. I think the one year only dash board has something to do with accommodating the airbag.
Can anyone help me figure out how to troubleshoot the enging warnig lights on my 94 LTC V6 convertible? Got new bulbs, everything else runs, can't get smog without the check engine light. And, a wiring harness with the BCM connector would be nice to find.
I had one of these but it was the turbo version, lets say, it kept blowing headgaskets, even with an engine change, car was probably cursed, so i crushed it.
That's a shame. I've had dozens upon dozens of turbo cars and never once had a bad head gasket.
Looks pretty good from 50 ft. Minus the blue paint...haha. Unless the electrical issue was big, and the top didn't work...I'd say it might be something worth spending a weekend in to fix up and sell. Never been a fan of the 3 liter v6, but it didn't look like it had any major leaks/issues in the bay. I'm biased to these cool LeBaron convertibles....having owned a Sebring Convertible since 1998 and the one in the garage is from 2001, which I bought new. Good luck checking it out and thanks for sharing! I agree...always a good day when you can spend it with the wife/girlfriend!!
yeah those 3liter V6's love to leak oil- I have a 1994 Sundance with that engine and it fun to drive- but definitely not a daily
Spending time with my wife is my favorite part of every day. She is the reason I'm able to do this and my biggest supporter. Sadly this one will likely be parted. We currently have 3 other cars to part, 2 others to go get and 3 "project" cars. I wish I had more time in the day to spend doing this. Sadly I have a full time job on top of all of these cars. For now this one will be put on the back burner until I get a few more done and gone. At least it looks like I'm able to move it around as needed which isn't typical for what we get in lol
Very cool. Keep posting these videos. I always watch them.
Thank you for your encouragement and support!!
Great that you were able to do so much business and nice that you were able to catch a few of the FWD cars at least. That blue 91' Daytona from VA is the same state I found my 84' in. Loved that Laser, and that Shelby Charger was beautiful. I remember these cars when they were new back on the road in the 80's. Hard to believe now we're looking at them on the show field almost 40 years later. Still have a lot of respect and love for the older Mopars but in some ways now I almost enjoy more seeing these cars as they never had the following of the older stuff and so few of them survived over the decades.
I agree totally. I keep hoping someday they will get more respect. All we can do is keep trying and showing there is a market for stuff.
It always blows me away when someone will buy a brand new car that they know is rare, and then drive it through road salt. If I bought that car new, it would sit in my garage all winter until the salt was gone
In the rust belt snow and salt is just a thing that happens nothing you can do but move. I just drive cars there cars yeah they get rust spots, meh.
@@TwoDollarGararge I'm originally from the rust belt. I had a summer car and a winter car---the summer car never saw road salt. And I wasn't rich, either---just a blue-collar kid
