@@uganrajoo8379 yup, it was a syntax error👍
Imagine a world where the premiership teams join the urc and you have a 1st and second devision urc tournament.with promotion relagation making the bottom of the log games count .That would mean strength vs strength all weekend long.also imagine a world with a week or 2 more set aside for international test matches in November and june so tier 2 teams get more game time against tier one and we can got backto 3 test series tours in July. This ,my fellow rugby fans, this would be a perfect world.
promotion relegation is one of the main strengths of the French Pro 14
MoomoomooZulu? 😂 the Bummies😂 its Mgomezulu and the brumbies mate. Shit that made me laugh
The involvement of the SA teams in the URC has been an unqualified success. It's wonderfully competitive!
is tru
The problem with Super Rugby is that a NZ team will most likely be the champions again while the URC has had 3 different champions from 3 different countries in 3 seasons. The URC is much more competitive than Super Rugby. The URC is only growing year on year and will eventually be the number 1 Rugby Union League in the the world.
if it’s not already so!
you were doing so well until you got to Sacha😭...great watch though.
Thanks🙏
URC really feels like the best product out there right now. Rarely do you find a league where all the teams involved benefit on and off the field, the results are shown even on the international stage. Long may it continue and hopefully they don't let this all go because of greed and neglect just because they're making enough money. Sharks, Lions let's get those numbers up at the stadium

Apparently the Argies returning to Super Rugby in 2026 may help save face for ANZ (not the bank). But with that being said, not surprising if it doesn't match the URC atmosphere that South Africa is enjoying at the moment with the best of both worlds.
it is not a simple situ, hopefully for the game of rugby, something positive happens
Time zone wise it is also much easier to follow and watch. Great move, SA!

Bulls fan here, love the URC, it's been very engaging to watch and quite competitive. 3 seasons, 3 winners, from 3 different countries. I was at Loftus for that Bulls vs Glasgow final, and even though we lost in the end, the atmosphere was electric. Not to mention being part of the Champions Cup, which is definitely a level of club rugby I didn't see much when we were in Super Rugby

Sacha FM is a flyhalf/fullback/centre...definitely not a scrumhalf 9:17 I hated leaving SuperRugby, because it was undoubtedly the best and most entertaining club/provincial rugby comp I had ever seen through the Super10/Super12 years...but times changed, SuperRugby lost its glimmer...and ultimately it was the right decision for SA Rugby to move north, especially considering all the politics going on behind the scenes at SANZAR
roger that, it was a syntax error
BTW Sacha is a flyhalf not a scrumhalf. And a centre, wing, fullback...

With SA inclusion, I find it crazy how Leinster are perpetual favourites and still haven’t won the competition. I’m so glad we joined! I’d be open to the Boks being part of both the 6N as well as TRC and using the July and November windows to play lesser tier nations. One year touring the Americas, another year we tour the Pacific, then another year it’s the African continent and then another year we tour Europe.

I just wish they'd sort out the travelling arrangements - Qatar Qattle Qlass sounds really kak for rugby players. Do it the French way - I travelled up from Joburg to Heathrow in April in the same plane as the Lyon players who had been thrashed the day before by the Bulls, and they were all in Business Class! [BTW that was obviously a Champion's cup match but close enough... ]
Super Rugby? Who needs Super Rugby. Love our Scottish, Irish and Italian partners in the game. Times work, locations work, cameraderie works, player and coaching staff opportunities work and finances work. Works for me.
who would have thought URC would have taken it this far
also you gotta subscribe to Clutch
Totally agree that the URC is the best league in the world, and the Saffer teams have added a whole new level of play to all the teams. For Glasgow to win at Loftus in the last final (OK, OK with an SA coach!) was great for the game as a whole, the URC as a whole, and was a fantastic game itself!! Long may it continue to go higher and higher.
@@stevedavidson666 ok ok 😃
The NZRU have always been incredibly arrogant, and I hate to say, quite crooked at times (as in their ref, Bryce Williams cheating the Boks out of a semifinal place in 2011 by his pathetic reffing in the GF against the Aussies, a much easier opponent for the winless-for-20-RWC-years ABs in their home RWC) and really deserve all they're not getting at the moment. Stewing in their own juice.

We want South Africa to do better. It is clear that the Rugby forming in the north is extremely strong. The NZ and AUS teams are stupid for not joining in on the fun. They will fall behind and the Northern Hemisphere along with South Africa will stay on top. It's great to have our boytjies having fun up there. Look at the awesome results we got when our players started playing for Northern Clubs. I love my country so much.
I guess nobody realised how successful the URC would turn out to be!

Harlequins in the perm does an 80,000 game every year
is this at Twickenham....
@@ClutchRugbyXV Yes. And they do it again in summer, but that gets around 40,000. Saracens do 55,000 in Tottenham stadium when they host harlequins. Leinster will do 80,000 this weekend. Toulouse play some games in the larger stadium but is sadly only 33,000 but last time they played there the demand was far higher, as 90,000 people tried to get tickets. Toulouse also had expansion plans to go to 40,000 but that fell through. This one i am not a familiar with but I believe Toulon vs Toulouse get around 40,000 in Marseille stadium. La Rochelle would expand, but don’t have the space. A large proportion of the 16,000 seats are season tickets, for which the waitlist i’ve heard is about 2 years. However there are sadly clubs the complete polar opposite like Newcastle and Sale who get around 5,000. And zebre even less

It is fantastic for SA rugby as a whole, and rugby as a whole, too! And I hope (against hope probably, seeing the politics like us losing the 2023 RWC) that Rassie can become chairman of World Rugby - after winning a third in a row RWC in dry conditions for a change - and take his genius, and WR, to another level.

Sadly, (as it’s been bad for ‘Southern Hemisphere’ Rugby) I fear that NZ & Australian rugby administrator arrogance & poor judgment cost them dearly in the fact of & manner in which they turfed SA rugby. To their credit the SA administrators & sides seemed to prove flexible and adept enough to quickly adapt to & thrive in a Northern Hemisphere competition. Everyone ‘up north’ appears to have benefitted.
yeah, @SL there was some poor judgment…and yeah the North are benefiting both money wise and comp wise….and please do subscribe to Clutch Rugby
It's the South African way: no sooner do we face a challenge, then our minds just can't help but to start looking for opportunity in adversity....strength through adversity.
as the Premiership is having problems here's the deal for them joining the URC: they would have to convince Wales first to merge to 2 teams (should be enough from Wales), then 5 English, 5 South African, 4 Irish, 2 Scottish, 2 Italian, 2 Welsh franchises, makes it 20 - every team against eachother once, then make 5 "shields" were they play the return game against eachother - total 23 games + playoffs ..... of course the European Cups would have to be scrapped .... maybe just play the winner of the URC vs the winner of Top14 ..... pretty sure that revised URC would beat the Top14 as the best league in the world .....
would choose Saracens, Harlequins, Bristol Bears, Leicester Tigers and Sale Sharks as the 5 from England (maybe instead of Bristol, Bath, so visitors have some sightseeing program ....)
would you think Top 14 has too much $flex for this scenario too happen, just a conversational starter👍
@@loge1884Bears fan here, but I do see the attraction of Bath City 🌆

Better choice will probably be an Anglo-Welsh comp. Like how in football the Welsh teams have the chance to qualify for the Premier League. But rather than having the Welsh regions joining, revive the Welsh club teams to be the top Welsh teams again, and disband the Regions and add the teams to the Championship for the 1st season, then the top 4 of the Championship that qualify with the premiership requirements advance to the Premiership
