Some weird tidbits 😂 My first NHL game was in 1982 at the Winnipeg Arena vs the Vancouver Canucks. As I was looking at the score sheet from that game recently, I noticed Serge got into a fight with Tiger Williams. He was also the last 6 era player to score a goal, I believe it was a March 27th 1983, 5 days after Wayne Cashman did. Cashman was the last 6 era player to play though, cause Boston made it to the second round while Serge's Jets went out in the first. 😢

Honestly, why hasn't current Dallas, Detroit or Minnesota called to help make up for it? Any of those teams could call the league to make a special exception for an extra roster for one game at the end of the season when any of those teams have clinched or eliminated and let him take the opening face-off and leave the game.

This guy scored goals on terrible teams. In another horrible move by Leaf management, he was named captain at a very young age when they had Salming there for a decade. Wrong move in so many ways. He played hard and was one of the few bright spots of those awful Leaf teams. Good to hear from him. He gets lost in the discussion of great scores from his era.

I could be wrong but you never know if the guest is in a hurry and can only spare a limited amount of time or Gino has so many questions he just needs to move it along faster than he even wants to. Either way I enjoy these interviews very much. I was an NHL fan in the 70's 80's 90's and the guys I saw play have interesting stories. Today the game is dull in so many ways that it is unwatchable to me. The league over expanded 2 decades ago and the rosters are too full of European and Russian players that an American fan just cannot relate the same way to. I'm sure the players are good guys but the style of play is boring to me. There are no characters anymore like Dave Tiger Williams, Probert, Domi . Just a very different sport these days. They need to increase the size of the net because these goaltenders all seem to be 6'7 and above plus they are wearing 100 lbs. of padding. Just my opinion...
