The only exposure to James Freud and the band via mass media made me think of them all a certain way. But reading both of James'/Colin's books made me realise how difficult, stressful and utterly weird it is to have even a small amount of fame and notoriety. Especially in a little pond like Australia.

I'm going down memory lane with this one. When I was 16, back in the 80s, I somehow ended up backstage after one of their shows and I had my first kiss from drummer, Barton Price. It didn't go further than that, because I was young, but who could ask for more for a first kiss? I still have a drumstick he gave me.

I got up this morning and I could hear this amazing tune playing in my head, and was thinking what an amazing piece of timeless work it is , to add to all the rest of the post indie/ electronic/ new wave sound that defined and encapsulated the Australian progression and massive swing from Rock to Electronic music from the 80s till right here right now. That is 16 / 8 / 2024 - Sydney Australia.

Great song! I didn't realize the lead guitarist sang lead on any of the Models songs! The guy looks like he could be the brother of the bassist from Talk Talk. Miss these guys.

Great song, great album!!! Had the cassette tape of this album back in the day. Played it so much I wore it out and had to buy another. Great Aussie band from the '80's! This album and anything INXS were my go to driving music back then. Graduated High School in '84... Was "legal" (21yrs old in the States) in '87 and the club scene was crazy back then as was any college bar with a dance floor. Love the backup singers in this video and "Cold Fever"... Miss the days of fit looking ladies, in form fitting skirts, black hose and heels. Man I wish I could go back... To be young in the '80's was a great time!
