Gold Coast in the 80s , iconic bands, legendary locations The Playroom , The Jet Club , The Patch , Bombay Rock what a great time to be a teen. Love the Models they bring me back to those times.
I hear you, man. Southport guy here so rarely got down the southern end. We had Fisherman's Wharf. Saw INXS there, and stacks of others. Hit Bombay Rock a few times.
Only 2 comments??!! OMG - this is a wonderful dose of craziness and danceable funk from the only capable Australian city...Melbourne! Thank you Sean & the Mighty Models Lads. Slightly ahead of your time, you were.
Wow, this sounds like a radio edit of the 12" rather than the solid guitar backed version I'm used to. Cool, will drop some fierce beat-lock guitar over the top for the best of both worlds
Always loved this song but is this a remix or something? The original had that prominent guitar riff throughout but it's not audible in this version. Sounds like it's been mixed out for some reason.
@@marknorris1381 I checked out the 12" version of BOL on TH-cam and it sounds like this. It's definitely not the single version. Looks like they've added the audio from the 12" version to the video for the single version. Still good though.
Yes, agree. I have a vinyl single of this and the guitar riff really jumps out of the speakers. This clip sounds like the "Edgy, left-field Melbourne mix" . I remember being amused at the time that Genesis (the sadder, later version) seemed to have appropriated the "Big On Love' riff for their single "Abacab". Imagine Phil Collins being that desperate! & of course Sean Kelly absolutely owns this riff - a great song from their considerable and very great back catalogue.
One thing for sure, this was the last song that sounded like a Models song. This song would have been right at home on The Pleasure Of Your Company. All that poppy stuff (Barbados, OOMOOS, Let's Kiss) that followed afterwards made them popular with the Countdown teeny bopper brigade for 5 minutes and then they disappeared except for the occasional reunion. Having said that, credibility with the indie crowd won't get the bills paid.
Brilliant, a good time in Australian original music , both pop alternative and mainstream, it all still had integrity and was authentic.
10/10
I’m 51 and love the 80’s , I remember recording this on a DTK cassette off 2SM and playing at school on my Sony walkman 87/88
TDK does amazing things to your system
I believe you mean….TDK! Memory ain’t that great!
Cr02 were the way to go back then. I still got a few of them packed away somewhere.

Capable no more....it’s a dystopian Lost World now
Adelaide had quite a significant amount of brilliant bands local and international as did Perth !
Apparently this was a version of trying to imitate the sound of master blaster Stevie Wonder. The results are just filthy!!

@@HK_Hoops_897 if you use a track splitter, you will find all of this wierdness, minus the flanger effect, buried deep in the album version.
Aussie Aussie Aussie oi oi oi fucking awesome you'll never ever get music like this again pure Brilliance.
Great song👍🌻
The Models were AND INTERCOURSING ARE A SMOKING HOT BAND
I PLAYED THIS BAND NON STOP GROWING UP
I love this song. ❤
Frikn timeless !!
Memories.....the 80's....my uni days at RMIT. Great times.
The BOMB!
Great band, great songs!!!
Australia's most original.unique unrecognised band...❤🎉
How many videos can you name which boast a moonwalking horse?
This was early eighties so probably not many.
That's funny 😁😁
Soo good these guys.
*_Hello from Detroit, Michigan!_*
I believe the best film clip of all time..with the most iconic lyrics.
Classic. The mix sounds different in this recording, but great track. Loved The Models xx

Nice! Greetings From The United States In October 2024❤🎉😊
Can't even buy this classic on iTunes. Yet they have millions of modern garbage music performed by computers on there for .99c a pop. WTH?
Sean is a very special talent
Yeah "special" is the word..
Sean Kelly way under rated!
Such a Raunchy Aussie Band
Maceys Toorak Rd Sth Yarra and beyond plus speed. Kelly and Sean Barton and Andrew good work!

Doesn't quite sound like what I remember either.

Sorry Donna, Genesis had their song out 3 years before Models had this out.

Great bands remember the machinations, Ed kuepper, big pig, the sunnyboys, the trilobites, eurogliders,
"You've got no say in it"
Going to see Ed kuepper, 19/4, next Friday
Were many Models' video clips directed by Richard Lowenstein? Which ones please? @Models
💓
This YT video has shitty audio quality - there's better quality elsewhere on TH-cam.
Load of codswallop and they got away with it.
😂
What's with the fucquit swanning about then losing his clothes ?
How insulting for these (back then) aspiring musicians .
Who says a music video, esp in the 80s, esp a Models video, had to make any kind of sense.
That guy looks a lot like Max Gillies too!
