My Hack For Increasing Prices In My Cleaning Business
I've been watching your TH-cam channel and analyzing your videos for a few days. I saw your TH-cam channel and understand you are a very hardworking, informative content creator Very nice videos on your channel, I enjoyed it. According to your channel, you have good-quality videos but the videos are not getting views and subscribers are not increasing. I found some problems with your channel. One of the many problems is the SEO problem
Hello Sean, I love your channel. I’m a cleaner and I was wondering do you know anything about “Home guide” ate the leads legit since they’re asking for $ per lead? Thank you.

Your content is great and very persuasive, but I have to know do thumbtack and bark actually work, or have you got a partnership with them to promote the platform?
Any questions, drop me a comment
What questions do you focus on in the zoom interview? Also do you require insurance for your staff ?
@@tochiopara42 asking them more about their experience and really just an informal chat. The main things I’m trying to pick up is what their manner would be in front of a client. Regarding insurance, our company provides the cover.
The key is build a scalable diversified cleaning business with different market segments to hedge market fluctuations and also to scale and allow others to run operations. This is how large companies have survived through economic ups and downs. Even if a major part of your portfolio takes a hit, private work you’ve public work you can push more contracts. Not to mention if residential slows, you can offer cut services to 1x a month a higher margins. Also maybe you scale up office cleanings etc. This is recession proof if you’ve built and understand how to diversify your client portfolio
@@hisrighthandsaves yep agree, office cleaning gives you a hedge vs residential
Very useful 👌 👍

You say you hire contractors but in the video you are focusing on hiring cleaners. When. you say contractors what are you talking about? Thanks
@@seansullivan6467 yep contractors would be self-employed cleaners ie 1099s
It seems kind of unprofessional to not bring your vacuum and ask clients equipment what if they aren’t strong enough machines or you don’t know how they operate? Also is it possible to do this with commercial clients like offices and gyms that pay more and have more leverage?
Our main locations are in busy cities and our cleaners use public transport to travel so carrying equipment isn't really an option. Ideally we would do but logistically it wouldn't work. However saying that, most of our clients have good vacuums that are easy to use so it's not a problem. Re commercial, as I said, ideally you want to be doing on site quotes as every job tends to be more bespoke vs house cleaning.
@@sean_parry I live in Florida public transportation isn’t great in the USA
Great video. How many apartment clients do you lose because of not providing vacuums? Are you finding that strategy a hurdle? I would imagine a modest percentage of people in 1-3 bedroom apartments might not own vacuums, no? Curious what you do to not miss that revenue?
@@sothpaw85360 We lose very few if people are living there. Vast majority of people have vacuums in our locations. For empty properties then yes, generally the vacuum wouldn’t be there and we would not service them.
I run mine completely remotely. Neither my clients or staff know me 😂, although I do have to drop off equipment in person.
Do you drop off cleaning equipments to your cleaners and pick them up after they finished cleaning?
@@moak08 They work 5 days/wk. They keep it
@@Ahmed-nc2qz that’s great. Is this how you started off? I’m currently searching for subcontractors with equipment but it’s limited
@moak08 Im in Sydney Australia. Where are you?
@@Ahmed-nc2qz Brisbane, Australia too !
Who pays for the cleaning supplies? The subcontracting cleaner? The customer? That either affects the cleaner owner or subcontractors profits.
@@hisrighthandsaves we use contractors who pay for their own supplies
@@sean_parry Thanks Sean! Your channel has been an inspiration, and a great start for my maid/cleaning business
@@hisrighthandsaves that’s great to hear
Do you think even with decent competition around you can atill makecdecent money with this model ?? Im talking about starting from scratch.
@@hugomoran6854 absolutely. Competition is actually a good thing. Shows there’s a high level of client demand.
@@sean_parry yea I would deff start only with residential with this model but I kinda fear for small stuff like contractors stealing etc . I feel like I don't need alot of money to be made if I want to live like in el salvador let's say where the coat of living is not bad compared to usa

Nice work and audible
Thanks :)
Hi Sean, few questions 1.with the staff being self employed how does insurance work are they covered under your insurance or do they have to provide their own? 2. If they have to provide the cleaning products what do you allow extra to cover that cost for them also are you providing fuel money if so what allowance?
When starting a cleaning business you will inevitably have a period at the beginning where you don’t have enough work to hire some one this period is usually where the owner would be doing the work to build the business. How do you negate this?
Focus on Google LSA and Bark / Thumbtack to start with. Recruit 1 part time cleaner to begin with. Turn on your marketing when you onboard your first cleaner then tell them it'll take a few days to get their first jobs. After a few days with your marketing on, it should be bringing you in enough calls / leads to book in your first jobs.
@@sean_parry makes sense but what about guaranteed hours or do you employ in a self employed basis?
@@Yourboyinthebunker yep self employed

how much should you be spending on google ads per month. Would you see results on 300-400 pounds per month ?
@@AmritDhillon-u3n I would say £500/month is the recommended budget for UK clients. Lead cost is typically in the £20-30 range
Any questions, let me know
Do you work with any Australian cleaning business? If so how is it running google ads in Australia ?
@@moezusy yep lots of Australian clients. Similar strategy to my US and UK clients.
Hello sir are those conversions for leads correct? How can you precisely track who is actually booking the cleaning?
@@Dking89 yes the conversions in the dashboard refer to leads generated (calls and form fills). These then get pulled into our High Level CRM and if they close to clients then they would get tagged.

Would you recommend this technique this year? Especially doing the cleaning yourself and taking cash payment?
Yep same approach
@@sean_parry Ok, also I noticed you didn't mention google LSA, are you saying to give Bark or Thumbtack a go first?
Hi Sean ,i want to start my cleaning but as i dont know how things will go. Can i use google ads and Google local ads if im only registered as sole trader ( uk based). Also here usually prices are hourly and it seems the competition is doing max 18ph for clients and paying min wage to cleaners and still this not equal the %50 pricing strategy you speak on yr channel ,how do your business in Uk come around this and can you really find good reliable cleaners paying minimum wage ( 11.40 for UK)?
@@yelkamarisa yes you’ll need to give up a higher labour % in the Uk as pricing is softer. I’d try out LSA to begin with then add in Google Ads if you need more volume.
Sean what’s your opinion on charging regular clients fixed rate than hourly rate I’m not sure if I should switch to fixed rate for everything please share share some wisdom:) thank you
@@winlarter4235 I would go with whatever pay type is most common in your area. If clients are used to paying fixed rate, go with that. If not, go hourly. I wouldn’t switch pay types between recurring and non recurring
