Kitti and Jon
United Kingdom
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 17 ก.ย. 2020
Hi! We are Kitti and Jon! We are a multinational (Hungarian and British) couple living in Manchester, England and we love to travel, hike and explore both in the UK and abroad! We definitely have the travel bug and have explored many countries on and off together in the 7 years since we met (when our jobs have allowed it!). We decided to finally start filming our adventures and sharing them with you guys!
We have currently visited 38 countries (29 countries together) over 3 continents (Europe, North America and South America). We try to pack in as much as we possibly can when we go on holiday as there is so much to see and do in every place we visit, from tourist hotspots to epic hikes to hidden gems, and we don't want to miss a thing in the limited time we have in each place!
In 2022 we decided to embark on a crazy one year adventure around Central and South America where we want to enjoy these unique cultures at a slower pace!
We hope you can join us on our journey! :)

Why You Should Visit URUGUAY in SOUTH AMERICA (we were surprised!)
Hey everyone! Here's why you should visit Uruguay in South America! Uruguay was not on our radar at all when we were initially planning our trip to South America, but having heard good things from a friend, we decided to spend just over a week there in 3 of it's more popular destinations: Colonia, Montevideo and Punta del Este!
We were very pleasantly surprised! Coming from Mexico, arriving in Uruguay was like landing back in Europe, with the culture and architecture much more similar to that of large cities like Rome and Paris. Here's everything we got up to during our short time in Uruguay!

Great video guys. How much would you suggest to budget for two weeks in Costa Rica backpacking style?
How about security , danger walking by night !!!??
Not sure we ever walked around at night but during the day perfectly safe 👍
Greetings from Hawaii islands. Now , I'm traveling in Brazil. Thank you for the video.Columbia extremely beautiful country and tropical paradise that's for sure
Thank you! Yes Colombia is a truly beautiful country 😍 enjoy Brazil! One day we will go there too 🤞
WOW Montevideo is the best city in the Americas! 💙
We really loved it in Montevideo 😊
Thanks for this video! We are traveling to mexico in March so this content is realy usefull. I have a question, what time did you leave in the morning to bike to the cenotes? We also want to go by bike. Thank you so much!
Thanks for watching and glad you found it useful! We can't quite remember but it was pretty early...probably like between 7-7:30am. Think it says they open at 7am on Google Maps but take that with a pinch of salt! Enjoy Mexico!
🎉
🎉❤️
Hi, it's amazing seeing your video and reading thru all the comments to get a better understanding of how the trip went for you. Would you share a couple more things pls, as I plan on doing this trail end of Aug. If I'm traveling from the US, how many days do I need door to door? Also, an aprx pricing for the tour would help. Thanks, and good luck with many more such wonderful adventures
Hey! Thanks for watching and glad the video helped you understand the hike better 😊 so door to door from the US we think you’d need a minimum 8 days if you could fly directly to Cusco (or to Cusco via Lima with a connection on the same day). That’s Day 1 to travel to Cusco, Day 2 to acclimatise and explore Cusco, Day 3-7 for the hike and Day 8 to return to the US. Probably 9 days is better though and gives you an extra day in Cusco to do something else (Rainbow mountain for example). If you can’t get to Cusco on the same day then you’d obviously need to add an extra day on for that too. When we did the tour in 2022 it was about $500 each with the Salkantay Trekking company…it’s probably more now though (but you could probably still get it cheaper with other companies). Our blog has more information on everything too if you want to check it out: kittiaroundtheworld.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-hiking-the-salkantay-trek-to-machu-picchu-peru/

Must be some good coffee!! ☕
I was born there, it’s a lovely land. I’m far away tho. Best beaches in South America.
Can’t argue with that 👍 we loved it there 😊
When did you guys visit Cappadocia? I'm visiting probably in the second week of April and I'm a bit concerned about bad weather possibly getting in the way of the hot air balloon ride
Hey! We visited in September and had very hot weather! Not sure what it is like in April but the wind can always effect the hot air balloon rides no matter what time of year you go. Hopefully it will be fine for you! 🤞
Hello, which car rental company did you guys use?
We used Flames Car Rental in San Ignacio 👍
Do you think visiting this island as day trip from a cruise ship would be worth it?
Depends what you’re after I think. There isn’t really a beach so to speak so don’t expect to be able to lie on the sand during the day. They have the Split which is okay if you don’t mind relaxing in a chair with a drink. Let’s just say there isn’t a whole lot to do besides that and some souvenir shops but there’s some nice restaurants to eat at and if that would be your only day setting foot in Belize then we think it would be worth doing 😊 if you have other plans in Belize maybe you could give it a miss.
I live in Belize, and you've done more exploring than I ever have 😢 😭
Hope you can see some more of Belize soon 🤞
Nice video. Inspirational for our next trip to Mexico!
Thank you 🙏 glad you enjoyed it!
Love the video!! I will be going at the end of March and I’m wondering what time of year did you do this trek?
Thank you! 🙏 we did the trek in April 😊
Loved the video guys. It looks like my kind of place, even the seals are chillin'. Lots of useful info too.😉x
Thanks Karan 🙏 we think you would like it there! 😊

Just curious.. What is your favorite city/country so far in your travel?
Tough question! I think we both would say our favorite country so far is Peru for it's diversity, although we also really loved both Turkey and Ecuador (which is highly underrated!) Favorite city would probably either be Mexico City, Medellin and we recently really liked Buenos Aires 🙂
Do you think I need long trousers for exploring Monteverde or any of the other jungle areas of Costa Rica? We’re going end of April, beginning of May?
Might not be a bad idea to have a lightweight pair of long trousers. It will be hot and muggy so you don't want anything heavy but if you want protection from insect bites etc then a pair of lightweight pants would be good to have.
Red Rock Beach PARACAS 🌀
A beautiful place 😍
What guide company did you arrange the trek with ?
Salkantay Trekking 👍
thank u for coming to Puebla. Hope unhave like it.
We loved it in Puebla 😍 thanks for watching!
My high school graduation was held in that grand theater in Xela. Lovely to see the city I grew up in. Muchas Gracias!! 🌎
So cool! Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the video 😊
Bienvenidos a mi bella GUATE AMALA!! 🌎
Gracias! 🙏
You don’t need to pay minimum consumption at the beach club to use the beach. You just need to pay it to use their beach club chairs and loungers. You can lay on the sand and get in the water anywhere for free
Good to know 👍
Ludlow is not in herefordshire !
We know 👍 we just included it because it was on our drive back home and is a pretty place that you can visit close to Herefordshire.
Albania 🇦🇱 magical country 🇦🇱
Yes so beautiful 😍
Hi, what time of the year did you go to Costa Rica?
Hi! We went in February 😊
@ thanks for that, if I’d looked through the messages I would have seen that someone else asked the same one. We’re going at the beginning of May.
@@WOTME2 enjoy!
nice video Kitti and Jon.
Thank you 🙏
@@KittiandJon you're welcome
This looks amazing! Id really like to do this! How are the insects on this trail? I have a fear of big flying insects and can't seem to find much info on this. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching! 👍 honestly we can’t remember if there were lots of bugs or not…which likely means we weren’t bothered too much by any. I think that would be something we would remember 😅 sorry not to be more helpful!
How u like it?
A lot! ❤️😍
Have j seen bencue yet?
Happy new years❤
Did you take a boat from the airport what airport did u fly in to? And how much was the boat ride ❤
No not from the airport. We booked it through a local hotel and took a bus from Santa Elena to the dock. You’d have to fly to San Jose and then take a bus from there to get to either Santa Elena or La Fortuna. This was 3 years ago so for the sure the price has gone up now. You could try checking some local tour operators websites for up to date prices 👍
Hi there this is the veranda cave robins cave is next door behind it.
Yes we found out later that that was the case! Still a very beautiful cave 😊
Hi guys I am not at California I am in Costa Rica but I really want to see you if you are nice
Wow! 😮👍❤️
😊❤️
So glad you liked it. Im belizean🇧🇿 amazing
Hi 👋 thanks for watching! We loved Belize ❤️
Please explain the 24-hour bike rental that must be returned within 30 minutes that makes no sense.
Haha okay 😅 like you can rent a bike 24 hours a day at any time you like. There’s a small fee for a daily pass. But you’re only allowed to do 30 minute rides without incurring an extra charge. If you return it to a rack within 30 minutes and then take another one out for another 30 mins etc. then it continues to be ‘free’ (you don’t have to pay anything else other than the daily charge). If you had the bike for like 2 hours or something then you’d have to pay extra. It is a bit of a weird system!
What about the weather there? She i find hotel with AC let’s say in June
We were there in August and would still wear our light puffy jackets sometimes and jumpers most of the time. It’s high altitude so it doesn’t get super warm maybe just in the middle of the day.
@ thank you for your reply
Can you talk about the experience with high altitude. Or seems like no issue at all. Thanks
We didn’t have too much of a problem but we had been living above 3000m for about 6 weeks before we did this trek so that might have helped us! If you’re just coming in straight to Cusco to do the trek then you might have a different experience. Thanks for watching 😊
You said the names of the places wrong btw , good video tho
Thanks 🙏 apologies for mispronunciation!
🌎Wow nice video Thank you 👍
Thank you 🙏
Stunning video! A wonderful celebration. Thanks for sharing.😊x
Thanks Karan 😊🙏
Thank you for this excellent film about Belize. I need to visit Belize soon. Greetings from Russia.
Thanks for watching 😊🙏
Hi in what period of the year have you been traveling to costa rica? Is july a good time? I’ve heard mixed reviews (since it’s rainy seasons) thanks for your time!
We were in Costa Rica in February. I think July would be okay but expect heavy rains in the afternoons and maybe some things to be closed from flooding. Winter is definitely a better time to visit 👍
Thanks for this - you guys are great! So if we are not really touristy types (I've visited and worked in Guatemala for years) and we don't like crowds of hikers...would you recommend Zunil instead of Acatanango? Or is the close up Fuego lava show worth the crowds?
Thank you 🙏 honestly we don’t like crowds of hikers on trails either and whilst the hike itself is pretty busy the groups do spread out into the various camps at the top and there are companies you can book with who take lower numbers of clients (you’ll pay more for this of course). But for us the payoff of the lava show is 100% worth it! Zunil is a fantastic hike and well worth doing but probably as an addition to Acatenango rather than instead of it. But that’s just our opinion! Hope that’s helps! 😊
@@KittiandJon totally helps, thanks!
Good video , you guys are loverly couple
Thank you 🙏
Hiciste muy buen trabajo.
Gracias 😊
