- Hey everyone! We went on a beautiful Cocora Valley hike in Salento, Colombia and took a crazy Willy's jeep ride to get there!

I grew up in Armenia, we own a farm by el parque del cafe, so me and my friends used to go camping and hiking through all those places way before there was any kind of tourism and when the world only knew about Colombia for negative things. It’s so wonderful to see how people from all over the world visit our country and leave with a good opinion. Like our slogan says: “Colombia, the only risk is wanting to stay”

That looks beautiful and so fun! My husband and I are gonna go there soon too! Did you guys do the Cocora-Valley and the Coffee-Tour on the same day? That should be possible, right?
It really is a beautiful place! 😊 we didn’t do the Cocora Valley and the coffee tour on the same day but you definitely could, especially if you’re only doing the short version of the hike 😊 have a great time!

Thanks! You will have an amazing time! 👍 we didn’t see any signs or read about any restrictions on drone usage when we were there but always worth checking as that might have changed.
How to travel to Cocora valley from Medellin?
There was a direct bus from Medellin. I think maybe only 1 per day in the morning around 9:30am and it arrives in the evening to Salento. It leaves from Terminal del Sur. Flota Occidental was the company 👍

Colombia is more biodiverse than Costa Rica.
It definitely has more different types of biomes for sure 😊 both are beautiful countries 😍
