Great Content! Thank you for taking us along on this very festive and cozy tour. :-) I also wanted to add something regarding you being so wowed by Dresden's market, its size, stalls and variety. That's gotta be expected, because they run this market for hundreds of years already. The Prague Christmas market is actually an invention of the 1990s. They had Christmas markets long before that, but not of this kind. For the current market they took heavy inspiration from the German Christmas markets. Because Prague is such a stunningly beautiful city, its market gained fame very quickly, almost eclipsing that of the original German markets. However, Dresden is doing a fantastic job of rebuilding the city to its former beauty and splendor. Going by your footage, I assume you haven't been on the Christmas market of Dresden's Neumarkt square (about 650 feet away) under the dome of the rebuilt Church of our Lady. This square was entirely rebuilt in the past 20 years and is just as picturesque as Prague's market square. There you get both, the Christmas market of long tradition and the beautiful setting. You gotta pay it a visit next time you're in Dresden! ;-)
Thanks for watching ♥️ yes, we knew Dresden is a very old market that's been running for 100's of years! I love that! Yup, we will have to go back to Neumarket square! 👍
Thanks for the video. We love seeing the sites. Since you won't be doing an over all budget can you give any ideas on cost of a trip such as this? We are evaluating doing the Christmas cruise verses a do it yourself.
We WILL chat about it in an upcoming Wednesday walk, in a couple weeks after we wrap up the holiday season, so stay tuned! Thank you so much for watching, we appreciate it! Merry Christmas ❤️ a Christmas cruise sounds fun too!
Which Christmas Market would you choose? I vote BOTH! 🤣🤣
