damn! tried everything for days but one thing from this video is closing the apps so started closing the freaking phots app, Numbers, keynote, and QuickTime anything else related editing and photos worked. thank you mr sir

I have the following connected. Sony a6400, Sony a6700 and a Nikon D5100. The Imaging Edge for the Sony Camera's works fine. However, the Photo's app on the Mac shows all three cameras are connected but only the Nikon will display photos. Would have preferred that all three cameras could view and import through the Apple Photos app.

On my good old Huawei Mate 9 it was a piece of cake to connect with my A6400. I recently bought a brand new Samsung S24 Ultra and whatever I do, it will not connect. Every time the app hangs with a blue round 'retry' arrow. Very annoying!

You rock, man. Turning off Lightroom and Photoshop did the trick. Thank you! There is one other thing that folks may run into: Apparently if you have cloud storage going, like Dropbox or Carbonite, you have to turn them off or it won't connect. Who knows why? Sony needs to fix this app - totally agree with you. Thanks again!

Hi. I updated to Mac OS Sonoma and then my A6500 won't connect to my Mac. I tried to connect the camera to another macbook running Monteret OS and the camera connected seamlessly. I had to use my friend's laptop for the entire shoot.

I can't get over the $40-$50 subscription fees with these machines. Up to $3000 for the machine itself, plus a $50 per month subscription is insane. This is more than a gym membership would cost you. One big advantage of a home gym is to save money. They're charging for streaming content. There's no reason they can't charge the same as other streaming content providers. Netflix, Hulu, Apple Fitness, Spotify, Alo Yoga, all streaming content providers no more than $20 per month. These smart gym companies are greedy.

This helped, thank you! Still relevant for newer cameras, and in my case it was issue #2. The open (Apple) Photos APP was preventing remote connection/operation via USB.

I have owned Tonal for almost four years, and I love the machine. It's well worth the price and monthly subscription cost.

I had an issue where Ctrl w/ Smartphone was turned on on another tab. I had to turn that off to then be able to turn the USB Connection over to PC Remote.

Trying to connect my Sony a7iii to my Mac and my camera just keeps saying "Connecting". I've watched about 10 vidoes on youtube, still trying to figure this out. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Haven't used IEDT in about a year or so. Wanted to use it today and had to update the software. Camera didn't work. Went nuts trying to figure it out and gave up. Came back later in the day and rad through the comments. DROPBOX! It wasn't an issue a year ago, but it was this time.

I got one for you. For me it's the photo gathering software. I checked and double checked Photoshop and Lightroom. After two hours. F#$&ing Drop Box !!! Close Dropbox! Thanks, Matt
