Looks like it may have been installed upsidedown. One side has UV protection.
It would make sense if some of the sheet's wore not brittle... But in this case they all suffered the same fate. When installed there was no difference between sides. But a valid theory, im sure some products might in fact have uv protection on one side. Thanks for the info 👍
Love your commentary. Love your version of the "perfect" (bike) life
Thanks 😊 Cheers mate 👍
Mate your going to slow through the thick stuff even the best rider would fall at those speeds and get your butt off the seat and lower that center of gravity you'll find it much easier trust me ,good luck pal you've got a great bike for what your doing it will take you anywhere you point it ❤
Thank you so much. Cheers mate 🍻
All you needed was Dronehacks man. Then it becomes the safest mountain surfer you can get because of the DJI failsafe system.
Nice video, worthy watch. We only use our dinghy to get to shore from anchorage we decided to get one of these as they are much easier to handle single handedly to transfer from our yacht to the dinghy. Much easier to handle two parts each about 10kg. No fuel spillage and smell, instant start, delightfully quiet, and much easier to control fwd and rev. I tend to run it at 400W max which is the sweet spot for our dinghy. It's each to their own on how they use their dinghy but for simple back and forth to shore I wouldn't go back to petrol.
Nice 👍 what do you do about leaving the dinghy unattended? I still have not found a good solution.
I found this very useful. Muchas Gracias!
You are very welcome. Cheers 👍
You need tires
Yep, and skills 😂
@@reversingentropy I dont think any amount of skill can overcome riding in the dirt without knobbys.

Good video mate. Atleast next time she is hauled out there will be much much less. I have about 150 holes to do on my 36ft. Good job!
One hole at the time... Cheers 🍻
Why not just place the glass cover over the plastic and call it a day? Seems more complicated than it needed to be.
Rookie question- how to you prep and paint around where the boat props/supports are?
The answer is very simple, You have to move them 😆, sometimes you can get away with removing just one support and stand on just 3.
Wow 3 months,you must have worked super hard.Good job…
Thanks 😊 I got myself inside the boat and only left for supplies, until it was done, I'm not the type to stay in the hard for years, I'd rather suffer like hell for a few months and get it over with 😂 Cheers
Just an upate after a 9 months waiting for my court date I have won got all my money back and goodbye E propulsion.
Care to elaborate? I don't know your story.
Just bought an evasion 32! This is huge inspiration for me, can you send me a link to exact paint for the 2 part Epoxy paint?
I bought it in a local store, i have no link sorry. Good luck on your refit. Cheers 🍻
It takes you forever to say anything. 6 minutes and all you said was the boat doesn’’t go fast enough to self bail. I can’t watch this anymore.
I am so sorry you don't like it. Cheers
Thank you. One suggestion: watch your videos and learn to be more concise. This video could have lasted 6-9 mins with the most relevant information.
Thanks for the suggestion, 😃 but why would i do that? What would in your opinion be gained by that approach? Sincere question. Cheers
How is it holding mate
Absolutely perfect. Im never using anything else to fix the dinghy 👌 cheers
I've used other glues where the tube come away at rear letting water in and really not very strong. Would you use this product everywhere opposed to the 2 part stuff? Thanks
@@scottcraig7609 I would use it everywhere that's not exposed to uv light. For the dinghy seams it's perfect because the seam protects from the sun
No boat has ever sunk from blisters. Like bumps on a golf ball they make it go faster. Making a big hole and then patching maybe not worth it. Paint the bottom and move on.
Totally agree... Live and learn 😅
Sell the GS, get a dr650 or xl350 or smaller for offroad stuff, and go buy a daily rider for everything else. You need to ride aggressively with those big 'ADVs'.
But then how does one do OffRoad far away from home ? For me the whole point is for one motorcycle to be able to do everything, but i know unicorns don't exist 🤷♂️
you are absolutely amusing, really enjoy how persistance you are despite facing challenges. Your channel suggest you moved on to sailing, still ride these days?
Thanks so much, yeah I still ride and i still fall a lot lol i just haven't filmed it because its a lot of work 😅
Great video. More people need to see it. These are great motors depending on how you use your dinghy. We talked before replacing our dead Honda 2hp with Spirit OnePlus and realized that our only use is to push our tiny dinghy to and from shore at anchorages. Dinghy is too small to row comfortably with two or more and no room for a bigger one. This motor is perfect , eliminating gasoline onboard, starting issues, maintenance bad gas issues, etc. However, our friends with the same sailboat use their dinghy to venture miles beyond the anchorage and at high speed. This motor would not work for them. Also we liked the way you broke the review up into segments and introduced each one. Thanks again. Good info here for many more than have seen it so far.
Thank you so much for your comment. Yes you are absolutely right, the right tool for the right mission. Cheers
16:40 Thank God 16:41 "God: Wait a minute".
Looool 😆😆😆
i mean it's doable but those tires in that loose of sand is always gonna be tough
A bit more skill wouldn't hurt either 😅
Awesome video - how long did you let the open spots dry before filling them up with epoxy?
Thanks. The process of grinding eliminated all the liquid. In other words i grinded past the liquid layer. Cheers
@@reversingentropy Thanks, sounds like a good way around the drying if you have enough material!
@@Mco998-pf1wi yep. In my case the hull is about 10mm the liquid was about 2 or 3mm deep so it worked out perfectly.
Nice video
Thank you so much 😊
Sounds counter intuitive, but go faster and if in doubt, give her a lil whiskey grip to drive through the soft stuff. Thanks for the video, was great entertainment 🤟
Thanks for the advice... Cheers 🍻
Bought one of these. You mentioned you charge it up to 80%. But how do you know when it's at 80%? You have to connect it up to the tiller and shaft to see what it's charged too. Really annoying
Yes it is super dumb. It should have an indicator on the battery itself. 5 LED's would have been enough to do the job.
In soft sand you need to reduce the tyre pressures otherwise you’ll end up like that. Plus those bikes are big heavy buggers.
They sure are. Cheers 💪
When reality meets expactation. Those ADV bikes are way too big, heavy and powerful to have real fun in those conditions. Looks easy in videos, is horror inr eality. But at least you were extraordinary brave and kept going against the odds.
You are so right... But then smaller bikes suck on the highway 🤷♂️ Thanks so much for the support 👍
lol a 15kg Anker on a 40+foot boat and people look at me weird with a 22kg Anker on my 25foot boat but at least I can say I never had a problem ankering at all
They all want light or inexpensive anchors until they drag... Then the anchor is priceless. 😆 Cheers
@@reversingentropy ye the only downside of it is heavier to pull back up which I need to do by hand but ye like the no need to worry about dragging my anchor
If your boat's waterline length is 10 feet your expected hull speed is 4.24 knots, So, to go beyond that speed requires a lot more power to go just a little faster because of the bow wave.
Thanks... Cheers mate 😊
That’s for a displacement hull. Any planing hull reacts quite differently.
Try unlocking mode M to open full potential of the drone there are TH-cam how to video’s
I had to jailbreak it. Now its the best drone ever 😅
You and everybody else has a problem in sand. Plus your bike is very heavy, not making it better.
Yep. I learned that the hard way 😂
@@reversingentropy Keep practicing. I know it's a workout!
Nobody drives their gasoline outboard at full power, usually only at 60 to 75%. So the Newton meters on the shaft are far from what you imagines. However, an electric motor delivers the full newton meters from first RPM, while the fuel engine can deliver them the newton meters that you can read off at its highest speed. See datasheet. Okay at the highest speed with noise you not like. So is the realität. If you let two identical inflatable boats compete against each other, one with an 1kw electric motor and one with a 1kw fuelmotor, you will realize that the electric motor has already pulled the other inflatable boat away long before it has even made a few revolutions and it will never be able to compete against the electric motor. greetings
Very true.. cheers
Hey very good job! Can I ask about the spray you use? I have a normal acrylic spray will that work or should I get another one? (This video is very inspiring, thanks!)
I used Montana spray cans. And it still locks Great today. Cheers
Not sure really but my son is an expect on phones will have to watch with him too for best advice.

How is the sikaflex holding up on pvc? You can also try pulling silicon and cutting with a razor, then on metal you can use a wire wheel on a drill but you can't on frp
So far its still perfect. The only issue that is not really a problem is the exes sica that is exposed to the elements is sticky. I should have cleaned it better. But slowly it is being cleaned by sand and water etc. The joints are still super strong.
Is pixel 4a 5g the same as pixel 5
Sorry, i have no ideia. Cheers
I just use a bike lock to secure my battery to the motor and dingy. It takes 30 seconds, not a problem.
Don't know if i would trust a bike lock. But yeah its better than carrying the battery around 😁
That's what we do. Simple, quick and easy. Probably not necessary as most boaters are well off enough that they don't need to steal. But the temptation to acquire an extra $1500 battery could be tempting... whether for backup or an emergency.
@@soundservices950 it's not the boaters you need to worrie about. Its mostly the locals... Every place has it's bad Apple's 🤷♂️
buy a smaller bike which you can handle
Lighter bikes suck on the highway. So i would just be replacing a problem for another. But thanks for the suggestion.
@@reversingentropy My comment is just a suggestion. From your video its clearly visible that you are "afraid" of this bike off road. On a highway its a different story. Anyway thanks for the good content and also thanks to show how u use that bike from every aspects
@@ferencnemeth8319 its a valid suggestion. I have thought about it various times. In the end what i wish for is the unicorn bike lol 😂 never the less this footage is old now. I don't fall like that anymore, now i fall much faster 😂 cheers 💪
fantastic video I have some questions. what type of compressor is it and do you know the airflow for this compressor? litres/hour What type of hose is used? I would be happy if you could help me answer these questions
Hi. The compressor in the video is a normal 12v tire filling compressor from Amazon. But i dont recommend it. Later i changed to an electric SUP, kayak and dinghy Pump. These make enough pressure and have a much higher airflow. Cheers mate.
@@reversingentropy does the SUP one goes with 12v battery ?
@@avish5959 yes most of them yes. Some even have integrated battery.
It is exactly like that! It's a scary cape 😵💫
The old sailors say: If one must cross this cape, the seas and winds will increase 10 fold if a Catarina is on board. 😘
Hello, is the e-Up reliable? I consider buying one, it's exactly 2014 year
So far it's the most reliable car we have ever had. We have done absolutely nothing to it. We haven't changed any oils, any water or even brake pads. There is one issue though which is it needed a new 12 volt battery and even though we replaced the 12 volt battery now we have a dash indication every time we start the car. We are supposed to go to a Volkswagen dealer and pay about 150 euro to perform a supposedly battery adaptation. This is for the 12 volt battery so basically what it is is they need to clear the code and they charge you for it. Also the seats get very dirty somehow just by having humidity or water. They stay in very very easily Besides that, everything else absolutely perfect.
@@reversingentropy Thank you so much for the extended answer. Cheers
Am I understanding this correctly? When on shore there is no means to lock the battery to the rest of the engine so one is forced to either lug 8kg around or risk it being stolen??
Yes, there is no built-in lock. However, you might be able to lock it using a chain and a padlock. Nevertheless, I would not feel comfortable leaving the battery on site even with a training padlock so I just take my battery with me.
@@reversingentropy - I find it staggering that no one in the design stage had the foresight to ask why the user would want to lug 8kg around when they reached their destination and provide no means of locking the battery in. It makes me wonder what other practical considerations they were too shortsighted to see, UV damage maybe from months sitting on a pushpit? Seems more like a product for recreational fishermen maybe rather than use on a tender. If so they’ve colossally misjudged their potential market.
I just use a bike lock on mine and it works quite well.

Soo glad you liked the video. The evasion is a very cool little 50 but bear in mind it's very light about 8 tons so its very rolly at anchor. We now have a heavier boat and the difference is astonishing. Hope this helps. Cheers mate
