      Ha, dont use the one ive got. Ive taken it from a 1.9tdi astra van! Its way to big really. Garrett do a nice little one, i think its the gbc14-200. Which would be perfect and small enough to use pull through with a bigger single carb conversion.

    Hi..great videos mate, are your mufflers branded or just a generic e-bay exhaust? Did you check if the db level was uk legal with them ? I still have a few episodes to go so i dont know if you cover this. To get insurance on the customisations do you need to take the bike to an engineer and is there a special custom bike insurance company you use...thanks

    • @BareBonesMotorcycles
      @BareBonesMotorcycles ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok so, when you modifiy a bike in the uk, there are only things you are not alowed to change with out geting the bike recertified, i cant remember of the top of my head what they all are, but one is the main frame. The subframe is considered seperate, even if its welded on. So no special measures were needed for this bike to stay on the road. The exhuast is unbranded, but came from a classic muffler maker with an ebay outlet. It passes the mot without any issue. For insurance ive done an agreed value through adrian flux who do custom vehicle insurance, so i set a value, send in photos, and they agree to insure it for that value. Glad your enjoying the videos.

    Good to see you back making videos Rich, the little lady is getting grown up too. That stator has been off before by the looks, shame you didn’t test the voltages from the 3 phases before swapping it, would have saved a few quid anyway. How’s your Turbo project coming along still working on it ?

      good to be back, although i'd totally forgotten what its like to be in front of a camera lol. yea the little one isnt so little now, shes going to be three in a few months, which blows my mind. the turbo bike will be making an appearance soon. just need to remind myself where ive got on it, its been so long. your right about checking the outputs, dont know why i didnt. but hey ho, its got a whole new charging system now, should be good for the next 22 years lol

      @@BareBonesMotorcycles Yeah, good fix though.I got myself an old project to work on but it will be a while before it’s up and running, lots of issues to sort out, may just have to get a second bike as I can’t go all summer without 2 wheels. That’s a nice bike you have there, I’m a little old for sports bikes now, they don’t agree with all my joints 😂

    Hey there I had a question about my Yamaha virago 1995 535 CC I'll send you a picture and see if you could possibly identify the part I'm missing or if it is simply just an extra space to hold a relay

    Hello i have a 1995 Yamaha Virago 535cc as well that sat for two years. I have it running and it runs pretty good although after about 10 minutes of driving it once to start running rough, losing power, like the front cylinder goes in and out. Do you think changing the coilpack is the solution? I am ordering one off Amazon, i believe it comes with two coil packs for 36.99 u.s. I look forward to hearing from you and watching more of your videos Thank you.

      Wouldnt hurt, but also likely to be a blocked main jet in your carb.

      Hello again I replace the front ignition coil which seem to fix my problem I also replace the rear coil I ordered these coils off of Amazon I'm not sure of the owns I also replaced the spark plugs from AutoZone NGK b7es I think is the proper description I will look in post more efficient when I get home. But I am also having a problem with one of the three relays I am missing a smaller one that is located all the way to the right I do not know the description so I'm wondering how to replace it, I wish I could post a picture but I cannot figure out how.

      I meant to say I do not know the ohms of the coils are put on, it does seem like it runs hot and is slowly returning to how it was running. Losing power slowly I believe....
