    If I take almost finished 3 minute song track has synths and vocals and arrangement and it needs matching melodic rhythmic bass and drums can I do it here basically automatically like ai matches spacing of chords and with ongoing varying notes in each bar over 3 minutes as a noobie? Like scaler 2 than Captain plug-ins or ezkeys to ezdrummer 3 add in ez bass? What’s the best easy way? Limiting sidechain noise ducking problems maximizing groove beat energy

    • @seljoypro
      @seljoypro 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If I’m understanding your question correctly, I would say that the key is making sure your Chord arrangement is done correctly in Logic first. You can use Scaler to generate those chords and copy them in to Logic Chord arrangement global track. And yes Logic Session instruments will follow the arrangements by playing beats, chords and bass line patterns that fit the mode of the chords. Please tell me more about the last part of your question about side-chaining and noise ducking. Are you trying to get the Logic Session instruments to follow elements of an Audio track? If so, you could try using the Stem Splitter feature to separate the elements of your audio track that you want to accent. So right click on the audio track and select Stem Splitter. It will isolate the drums, bass, vocals and other music into 4 tracks. That way you can have Logic Session Instruments listen to one of those elements to groove with them while following your Chord arrangements. I hope this helps.

    I've been using Sunday Keys for about a week now (used it in one service so far) and love how hyper-focused the UI is for live worship performance, which by necessity means it's not going to be as full-featured as a typical DAW. However, I'm keeping my eyes on possible alternatives (like AUM) because I have been experiencing some reliability issues, which to be fair, I'm not sure yet if SK is the culprit. Namely 3rd party plugins (in particular Pianoteq) simply going AWOL with both the plugin's audio and GUI just disappearing at times. And randomly losing connection with my MOTU M4. This is with a brand new Air M2 (which is dedicated ONLY for live performance) and a robust powered USB hub (Anker) with plenty of juice for all my devices. And of course, as much as I like SK - I am developing a long list of hopeful improvements Lol...

      Great observation. Yes the midi pedals are assigned to channel 3. I actually don’t have the bass pedals mapped. My controller only has enough faders for the drawbars. I plan to map it to a rotary knob.

There’s no rush in being you so you don’t have to feel like stuff is leaving you behind. Enjoy the journey my friend. You still got this ❤️ and God’s got you.

      Hey there, I’ve tagged the Midi Pedals in the Description. It’s the StudioLogic MP-113. I do like them. However, I much prefer full length pedals. There are a few out there but they are really expensive. My project was to put together the most compact and low cost, great sounding portable organ setup I could. So the 2 M-Audios, the StudioLogic, the dock and the iPad are the combo I’ve landed on for now.

      @@seljoypro thanks brother. I’m running a Yamaha YC 61 with jg3 tech pedals. They’ve pretty solid as full length pedals and aren’t as costly as the bigger brand name pedal boards. They have received mixed reviews but I’m pleased with them as an aspiring organist. Blessings 🙏🏾

      @seljoypro 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for your feedback on the JG3 pedals. I initially wanted those but read the reviews on the stiffness of the pedals. Every organist is different and I wanted something that was lighter and easier for travel. I miss the heel and toe action because of the shorter travel on the studio logic pedals but I like the compact size and portability. I intend to get the JG3’s and try them out later on.

    The picture of the studio bass is an old precision bass, people like Jamie Jamerson and Larry Graham played. The modern bass with the circular pick guard is a Music Man type bass, like from the early 80s. Just a little music history for you. I played bass on Donna Summer's "Love to love you baby in 1975". I've been a session player from many years here in Europe and I've also had the chance to play with a lot of American acts when they come over here for jazz festivals, etc.. I love what you're doing, I'm still struggling with the session player myself, the idea is good, but I hope it doesn't end up just giving young musicians a lot of possibilities when they really should be learning a little bit of music theory first. Just a thought..

Ableton has a great feature known as 'session view' which is great for sketching out ideas and then putting the ideas together to form an arrangement. After getting Logic on ipad, i decided to trial the full mac version of Logic pro but tbh I actually prefered the ipad logic as well as Ableton so I decided not to purchase the mac logic version.
