My main concerns are the lack of instruments/effects that I have on my Mac: Native Instruments, Arturia, Spitfire, ValhallaDSP, iZotope, etc.. They might port them over, eventually, but then I'll most likely have to purchase the iPad version (guess that will depend on the company and how they want to handle those licenses) And this could signal Apple to make the next version of Logic a rental as well (They might already be planning this anyways). I do love logic, but I'll switch to Ableton or even Reaper if that happens
If you’re happy with the sound on your Mac sessions and don’t plan to make instrument plugin changes, then you can “bounce tracks in place” (converting them to audio) and then open those sessions easily on iPad via airdrop or cloud storage.
I definitely hear that. The iPad might not be your main device, but Garage Band or Logic can be your main DAW across your devices. I think that’s what Apple is hinting at. A more unified experience across devices while leveraging the power of multi-touch.
@@CRASS2047 AND you won’t have to do a subscription package with the mac, it’s too expensive of an entry point just to try use logic in a different way
That’s a great question. The current minimum requirements for Logic Pro for iPad is the A12 chip. That means the 2018 iPad Pro can run it and possibly some newer non-pro iPads can also run it successfully. It’s arguably still a cost effective option not to mention all of the other cool things iPads can do bedsides music production.
Hey. I have never seen your chanel before. I like your nice and calm style bro 😊. I’m a “ipad only” musician so if you do a lot of ios content i’ll c’ya later 👍🏼
Yeah bro 5$ a month to rope you in. Pro tools is 100$ a month and Adobe is minimum 60$ a month? You seriously think the introductory price is the final price?
Tough to beat! Logic goes deeper tho-it’s got that deep heritage and they’ve stuffed it into a killer app. Love Beat Maker and it’s potential to be a legendary app.
The subscription will end up costing users a lot more than the desktop version. And you're saying to subscribe to Apple's cloud storage AS WELL? Holy Toledo. Apple knows how to rake in the money from its customers.
Not a fan of Logic Pro, you can’t tell if a song has been created from Logic Pro or Cubasis or Auria Pro you also can’t use IAA in it and the other IAA plugins are just as good as well as other IOS synth’s
Well done my bro! This is a great review!!
Thanks big bro 🤜🏾🤛🏾

@@seljoypro true! Honestly sometimes it’s easier on the system to bounce to audio when I’m good with the virtual instrument
I think it's great as a Sketch Pad for ideas 💡 💯
For those of us who have been using GarageBand a lot this is a tough call. I’d say yes but I really don’t use the IPad as my main DAW

considering the price of an ipad i’m wondering if you’re better of buying an entry level macbook air and just using logic on there
Better to do just that
Definitely. A Mac Mini is $799. My ipad pro was $1500. And Logic for ipad won’t run any mac plugins

@@CRASS2047take a look at the iOS App Store. There are lots of pro plugins there for a lot less than what we all paid for the desktop version

Thanks a lot. Yep I’ll be doing more videos for iPad
Good stuff
Thanks bro. Curious to get your take after you’ve tried it out
Great stuff, cuz
Thanks cuz
Dope bro, need to take logic for a test drive 🔥🔥🔥
Did you take that test drive?
@@seljoypro not yet BM3 for iPad been doing it for me lately 😂
@@TRealOTB can’t be mad at BM3 at all. Awesome app!
Wow nice track
Thanks bro
I paid $990 for Logic Pro. Another $200 for the update on the App Store. $5 a month for the iPad version? I can live with that.
Logic is $199. How did you pay $990?
@@CRASS2047 It is $199 now. Years ago it was $999. Came in a big box.
Same here bro. We jumped in at the high price; look at all of us now 😂

nah, back to beatmaker 3 for me

Sadly it’s the way of the world. As creatives, we also have options for income from the music we create.

I’ve fooled a few people who thought I tracked my songs in ProTools. I guess it depends on the creator and how deep they go.
