Magnificent. I covet the biombo (folding screen) in the entrada. I bet it's 18th century or earlier.

We rented Casa Sur for a month early in 2023. The shower in the casita is my favorite shower of all time. It's like bathing under a waterfall. It's a lovely property and a bargain at that price when you include the furnishings. In answer to @diamondroadphotography9086, I can only speculate but one problem for some may be that it is on Calle 60 which is very busy. They do have double paned windows in the front bedroom which cuts down the noise considerably. Regardless, if had an extra 650K lying around . . .

This house has been for sale for OVER a year. In our opinion, it’s one of the most colonial homes in Merida and well priced. Why on earth it hasn’t sold? Do you have any clues? Do the neighbours have 100’s of barking dogs? We’ve even walked the neighborhood (as it’s somewhat close to our home) and it looked great.

Loved your sweet stop at the end after such an interesting walk. I found myself asking ‘oh, what’s that?’, ‘gosh, what are they cooking?’, ‘can we go in there?’! Hugs x

Oh, I want that house…but I would settle for that range…let’s be realistic! That must be so difficult to sell such a magnificent home. Casa Amy, Nice house. The water barrier at the front entrance tells me that the area around that house is subject to flooding. I've seen several properties in Centro with similar barriers. And, yes. Mosquitoes love Mérida! They ate me up when I first arrived. OFF and RAID were my companions. QUESTION: When you travel to Mérida, do you fly into Mérida (MID), or do you fly into (MEX) and transfer by bus?! I'm trying to figure my best route from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Muchas Gracias, Casa Amy!
