- UPDATE: price drop to 7,360,000MXN (apx 362,000USD) I love this part of the Santiago neighborhood in Mérida Mexico. Having three bedrooms, and a garage, and a pool, make this house for sale a great find. In real estate we say location, location, location. I'm tellin' ya. This location is phenomenal.

Really enjoyed the tour. That s a really deep lot!!!
Yes, it is a huge lot!
Those hanging lamps remind me of Cousin It from The Adams Family. I love the house.
Beautiful property! Thanks for showing it to us.
Thank you! I am happy to share it.
Absolutely stunning!!!! My favorite thus far because there are no stairs. As for the price, WOW!!! A steal!! I know in many videos many say “too expensive” IMO not even close!!! I don’t know many places that you can get anything like this for that price. The way I look at it is in Mexico (with its new growth and development) you get MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK. It may never be the 3rd world country it may have been considered in the past. ❤❤❤
Mexico is not a 3rd world country its a developing country with a robust economy, one of 15 largest economies in the world.
@ that’s exactly what I said. Re-read my comment.
No Stairs! :) Once you live in a no stairs house it's hard to go back.
@ ha ha, yes. I’ve had a full knee replacement so stairs are difficult for me. 😂
Love it. I’ll be looking for something like that in Merida next year.
Fabulous property!
They will be delighted to hear it. :)
Simply Beautiful! I want it!
It’s a great one for sure.
I live in Merida and the home you are showcasing is very beautiful. My concern is the upkeep. I purchased a home in Cholul in 2021 and I absolutely love it. But the upkeep is a lot and my home is not as nearly the size of that place. Also with all the open spaces and the climate in Merida you are open to plenty of mosquitos and plenty of critters. With the cost and the upkeep I would pass.
It’s not for all but for some it sure is
Homes in Mérida are much more upkeep than people realize for sure. I hope you like living here, bugs aside. :)
A lid for every pot!
@@DestinationRetirement Could you please give me an idea of what typical upkeep would be for a home like this? And what kind of critters? :)
While I agree with your comment regarding upkeep in Merida, most homes outside of Centro are built in the same "cookie cutter" style and more economic level of finishes. As such, you'll be replacing things and repainting areas more often.
In addition to being Casa Amy, you're also "Comedy" Amy. 😊
Thank you. I'll be here all week. Don't forget..
Absolutely no way 400k for a house in Mexico. Never
Beautiful house
Beautiful!! But too expensive in my opinion.
Very nice...i had to skip ahead a few times...maybe you could show a map of the location of the houses? That would be great~
Good suggestion. Thank you.
Hi, my name is John I live in Los Angeles California USA. I was looking at your video on TH-cam the house in Merida the one with the garage in front of the house. Beautiful home I like some more information on it. If it’s still available.
Hi John, I have done two that have garages. If you go to the video and look at the description, click "more" and you'll find the property website. Thank you!
I'm loving this property! Must talk to Robert! Still loving that dress! I'm thinking it would be awesome to buy that other property and do the same thing. Which has a better location?
Location I would say this property due to proximity to Santiago market. The other fixer has its charms because it is a more locals area. It depends on what you are after.
Hmmm, with the oven being below the cabinet, where will the heat go???
There doesn’t seem to be any kind of ventilation.
I personally would bump into the edge of the kitchen wood block too often.
This would not be a house for me, but SOME of the features I like. Would have to be on a SMALLER scale for my tastes. It's just too big & too much air to cool...IMHO.
Stay home
A/C is expensive. I am looking into solar for that reason. Not sure on the oven ventilation. Good question.
@ some folks are much better staying home if there not going to get out of comfort zone
@@DestinationRetirement we purchased 18 panels (9,900 watts total) from Luxsol Connecting Energy for our 1,500 sqft / 140 m2 home, and our electric bill is about 62 pesos every two months. It’s fun live monitoring our consumption in the app. We may also install a battery backup. Waiting to see how often we lose power this rainy season after they installed new power lines on our street.
@@KimWilds THANK YOU. That was very helpful. Wow, that is a big difference in your electric bill. Generator, good idea!
she should point out the issues too.. lookslike a damp in the walls
That comes with every house in the Yucatan. But I will make mention on the next one. Good point.
Hi, I am looking to purchase a house in Mérida but I need an objective real estate attorney familiar with Mérida to help me (and don’t want to rely on someone who is selling the house). Can you recommend a local Mérida attorney who could help me?
Attorneys close the sale they don't find the house for/with you. Ballote and Associates are who I use.
Also there was a comment about cartel problems is that true
Not in Mérida. That is like saying don't move to Montana because there are bad guys in parts of California. Mérida is very safe.
There's no cartel presence in Merida. One of the safest cities in the western hemisphere.
Nope.
These are beautiful homes, but do you know of any under $200k that don't need a lot of work? Maybe a condo?
There is a condo building near the park of the Americas in Garcia Gineres. You might find a place there that needs a light remodel. Keep an eye out for it. 70's type building, great location.
Nowadays I find that under $200,000 USD is a limiting budget :-( Send me an email and we can do a dive into the market together!
How much is it?
$362,000. It’s in the description
This is not for a family. The bedrooms are in two different zip codes. Beautiful but not practical.
Best for two people who want an office and a guest room for sure.
Fabulous but not practical for Family with Children, expensive... great Walls wauuuuu!
Probably not the best home for kids agreed.
Nope 400k???
Insane is right. Not worth it by a long shot.
Too complicated of a house.
There's a lid for every pot. That's what my grandma would say. :)
AUFKM😂 colonizers are going to colonize.
$391k . But you may not survive the collateral gun damage from cartels.
Okay, this is getting ridiculous. I've watched literally hundreds of home tours on TH-cam and you are without question the best at doing it. Who the hell are you?
OMG thank you so much! One, I am not trying to sell the house. Two, I go through like I am talking to a friend because the tour is not about me. And, I never script. Thanks for the comment!!
