    Encouraging video, thank you! Any problems with your 703 Fuselage durning a flat water paddle start with the 1750? Gong requires a titanium fuse with their HA wings and I’ve seen videos of fuselages breaking with the HA front wings. I also want to learn flat water starts and ultra light wind winging with SAB’s Lev. 1550 or maybe even the 1750. For budget reasons I want to get the Axis 75mm Mast with SAB adapter. My current winging setup : Gong 7’11’ inflatable crusader hype 1350 Leviathan SAB 83 Mast (not the new super stiff one) Stab 380 Fuse 753 I’m 86.2 Kg. 190 pounds.

      Hi have not tried inflatable cruzader but the shape should also work in a bit less stiff inflatable version..low wind foiling works best with foil that can be dockstarted and size lift can handle your weight at takeoff speed...paddle start is another level with extreme sizes of foils, low ar foil have less glide but also work well if you do not need paddle start capability look at old curve xxl this was my lowwindkillersetup before i tried sirius and levithan...njoy lxt

      7.6XL should be a bit easier to stand on than my 7.6...recommend hi ar foil for glide and pumpability, but i do not like above 175...for you something like the 1550 should fit combined with 7m and you are the limit .-)

    • @lxt1714
      @lxt1714 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, Sirus is fast efficient but needs a bit more speed- and also the stiffer mast...i use the mast also for kitefoiling so i decided for sabfoil because it is also lighter- for winging gong stuff is safer because it does not swim up with certain frontwings as the sabfoil does for example with 873..

    Hello, thank you for your videos ! I also have a mint and a fluid XXL classic and I enjoy it. I have a fluid XLT too but I prefere the XXL even when there is wind. I have just learned how to jibe. I am planning on buying the same foil in this video (fluid XXLH + stab H 47) but what about very light wind condition ? I live in the north of France near a lake and there is not a lot of wind... I often use my SP 9m2... Do you think the curve XLT is the best for light wind or witch front wing is the best for light wind in your opinion ? I think I will buy the curve XLT as well only for very ligth condition but not sure.

    • @roadrunnermakmak
      @roadrunnermakmak ปีที่แล้ว

      for very very light winds I'd recommend the CurveXLT (only the RiseXXL would fly earlier, but its deadslow and not really fun at all if you're not a very beginner) - thats what I ride. (my next smaller foil is the fluid XLS for days with not so gusty and a bit higher and more regular winds). I am happy with those two foils (using with Veloce and Fluid pro Stab).

    • @lxt1714
      @lxt1714 ปีที่แล้ว

      it turns out that for a rider there is one size working in most conditions and size is depending on weight and preferred wing size..in stuttering gusty wind often a larger frontwing is better to pumpglide through lulls...with my weight below 1500cm is a pain

    • @lxt1714
      @lxt1714 ปีที่แล้ว

      Recently sold my xxl curve because i also own a levithan 1550 now with better glide, curve xlt is best wing for low wind takeoff in the gong lineup, sp9 was to huge for me so i sold it, also have 18m matrixx2 that i prefer in 6kts :)

    • @lydstyl
      @lydstyl ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lxt1714 Thank you for your answers. I have bought the curve XLT and it is my choice for very low wind less than 12 kts with the SP 9m². I find the SP 9m² hard to jibe. I really prefer my Duotone Echo 6m² with a boom and with the fluid XXL (1850 cm²) that has a good glide but when there is more than 12 kts. I would love to try the fluid XXLH, I wonder if it is easier than the fluid XLT (1550 cm² but lower aspect) that I find a little hard to take of. I am about 80 kg.

    I am an okay kite foiler, currently I have the first version of the surf foil (later rise wing in M). Now I want to get into winging and also replace my kite foil. I am at 82kg without gear. Could you help me decide between a fluid XXLS and a Curve XL? I live in bavaria, so a lot of light winds and lakes. How is the low end and stall speed of these too? Optically I really prefer the shape of the fluid also for transport :P For kiting I think about replacing the surf M (rise?) with a Fluid L? :)

    How many knots do you need to take off with the Mint 5.2 with a 6m wing? I see that the trend is to make longer boards, flatter and without kick to go out fast to the glide. Would it be a good board as a first board with my 87 kg?

      @lxt1714 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi takeoff depends on frontwing skill and weight.. without knowledge this board is very short and reactive and needs active technique to get on foil, i use my 6m from 14kts+ below i use my 7.5m...but i am around 113kg :) ...i recommend a large 2000cm frontwing as first wing with lots of profile so you need less speed to get on foil...rise or curve xxl xlt are very helpful at the beginning

    Hey, ich habe gesehen, dass du viel Erfahrung mit Gong Frontwings hast. Welche Kombination (wing und frontwing) würdest du für mich (65 kg) empfehlen, um so früh wie möglich bei Leichtwind abzuheben. Btw wo in Österreich fährst du? Grüße aus Passau!

      Hi so früh wie möglich wäre zb curve xlt und dazu ein wing grösser 6.5m2...dazu ein board mit 90l und abrisskante am heck...mega wing wie 8m cwc ist die benchmark, 9m wing hatte ich bringt aber nix wegen mühsamen handling...empfehle keine dünnen neuen frontwings für leichtwind, bin heute den fluid xxlh mit 5er neutra bei 30kt gefahren, unterpowert und für leichtwind ist einfach andere anforderung, der veloce xxl geht auch später als curve xlt...damit hast du beginner bis pro spass und holst für mehr wind einem 5er und zb xl fluid und bist abgedeckt bis 6bft

      Hi, das flint 510 mit meiner abrisskante ist die benchmark des frühen angleitens, hängt halt vom fahrkönnen frontwing winggrösse und wind ab, fahre seit einem kleinen heckmod meist das 5.2er mint ohne überschussvolumen, geht trotzdem deutlich später als das flint ..frage ist immer gegen was in relation soll es angeblich später gehen, mein hekbürzelmod bei aktuellem flint würde auch 1-2kt lowend rausholen ist aber halt nicht serie..

      @@adamwittboldt1955 Depends on the spot and how powered you like it..i rode the Fluid XL with my 5m in waveconditions and it was great- winds 18kt+, so in heavy Waveconditions you could also go for the LT or XLS with your weight, the XL is defenitely a good allroundwing for 75kg...njoy LXT

      160-200g/m2 Glasmatte und 2 Komponenten Epoxi besorgen (wichtig ist hier genau zu mischen sonst härtet das nicht ordentlich aus) zb Farben Wolf, Conrad, Modellbau Lindinger, Netz...vorher bis zum Gewebe abschleifen und 2 Lagen drauf reicht in der Regel..Atemschutz nicht vergessen...guck Dir kurz meine Umbauclips (LXT´s DIY Channel 5 9:00) an da ist viel abzugucken wie zb rand abkleben mit Malerkrepp, hilft auch beim Schleifen und Übergang..Kleines Loch mit Solarez auch abdichtbar...sonst kann sicher Hang Loose in Wien helfen...lg LXT

    Hi LXT a revisit on your review. Did you use the 7.5 a lot. Or did you get the 6m SP to work as well as the 7.5 with more experience in the light wind? The new V3 are coming out and look very nice. So I'm thinking about a better light wind wing than my Slick 7m. I was considering a CWC 8M but the new Super Power is interesting. Pumping to get on foil looks like it can be more difficult than some lighter wings.

    • @lxt1714
      @lxt1714 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, i used the 7.5 a lot- basically it gives a bit "racy" feeling with Harness lines while being powered- also depending on your weight- with 90kg+ the 7.5 makes sense and defenitely lowers my low end a few knots in comparison to 6m spv2- which is no low wind wing for me , it is my mid wind choice...

    I am using a Slingshot Infinity 99 low aspect and slow 2371cm2 wing, have been out about 20 sessions and in decent wind I am now making around 80% of my Jibes and foot switches. I also feel very stable at all times but foot switch and sometimes Jibes. I am around 77KG with gear. I am looking to move to Gong. I was thinking two wings, one to start off with Gong, such as a Curve XL or XLT. This I would keep later on the road as a lightwind wing. But I would also hope to be able to ride some wind swell with it as well and be able to handle some higher wind conditions (Say up to 25 knots and choppy conditions). Then also buy, maybe even at the same time for any wind other than light wind a fluid XL or XLS Do you have any opinion on this?

    • @lxt1714
      @lxt1714 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The infinity is between curve and fluid due to low ar and medium profile..with inf99 and below 80kg for low wind xlt curve might be best low wind option, the fluid xxl and xxls will take off later..but with good pumping technique the xxls might be the next reactive step for you and your weight...due to lower ar than xxl...the xl fluid is really responsive, not sure if this is to much for next step...if you come from infinity i would not go to curve aside for low wind...so curve xlt for lowest wind similar to infinity 99 and or fluid xxls if you want to go quicker for swell the fluid xl or even xls with lower ar and 1400cm2 are an option for you cheers lxt

    • @jbwiden
      @jbwiden 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lxt1714 I think the Infinity 99 is more like the Rise or Xover, it is thicker and lower AR than the Curve. I have a nearby lake that is fairly low wind so having the Curve XLT would likely be useful. I was thinking the Curve to get the full package including the mast, stab, fuselage, bag, ... Then use the stab of the curve for the fluid initially, might make it a bit easier to use. Worst case I struggle with it and use the curve for a bit longer. so many choices make it a hard decision.

      @@jbwiden hi i tried infinity 84 and 76 and both are defenitely faster than curves due to sharper design (leading edge of wing) like sabfoil moses, for low wimd go for xlt curve complete setup, if you need shorter mast also the xlt sup setup will be fine with extra mast and fluid xls...njoy regards lxt
