Epoxy Cord Wrapping a Knife Handle
มุมมอง 6K8 ปีที่แล้ว
PLEASE READ: Epoxy cord wrapping a knife handle is as easy as doing your chosen cord wrap and then coating the wrap in the correct kind of epoxy that will soak through the cordage and properly adhere the wrap to the knife handle. NOTE: the epoxy darkens the color of the cordage, as seen in the video. I've done an OD Green Paracord wrap before and the result was a very dark, almost black, color ...
Sig Sauer Contact Shot Test

Test gun: Sig P225 (P6 variant) w/ 19lbs mainspring. Camera was aimed a little low but you can get an idea of how much slide movement there is by watching where it lines up with the dust cover.

There a lot more to be said about the subject of one handed fire starting but unfortunately I was limited to just 10 minutes due to video editing software issues.

Ocean City Cruise Week May 2013

Just the view of cars heading up and down coastal highway from the balcony. It was a gloomy start to the day Saturday and unfortunately it started pouring rain shortly after I stop filming. Things usually heat up at night and things really come to life, but again the rain kept a lot of the people off the streets.

Channel Update and Question for Subscribers...
I know this is an old video, however I wanted to do a follow up on the fix for these magazines. The information was spot on. I did the modification as recommended. The magazine is now functioning perfectly with very light filing to the tabs that are on the upper sides and near the rear portion of the magazine just in front of the rails. No mod was made to the rails. The magazine no longer binds when I remove or insert the magazine into the rifle. Very little material was removed through incremental filing until it slipped in and out freely. Hope this helps anyone coming in years later. It's now October of 30th 2024 as of this post.
So glad I found this video.! Have the same magazine issues you had. Had to fight to insert and remove the magazine. Magazine is worthless in its current configuration, so it is time to modify it. Thanks again. New subscriber 😊
I sent my model 93 GV back to the factory because it wouldn’t chamber a round and the mag wouldn’t come out very easy. Got it back yesterday after 9 weeks. They polished the chamber and sent two new mags with it. One 5 round and one 10 round mag. Just shot it this morning and it cycles perfectly and when I push the tab to release the mag it pops out 1/8” of an inch for easy removal. I am very pleased with the rifle now!!!!!!
Where did you get the main spring from? Great Video
A concise, no BS video. Thank you sir.
I just sent my 93 GV .22 mag back in to the factory. It won’t chamber a round. I had a master gunsmith try to fix it to no avail. If it can’t be fixed I want a refund!
T10 torx, thank you very much!
Thank you so much for this video. I just changed out the mainspring on my 2005 German P226. Lots of videos out there, yours was simple and worked like a charm. Bravo!
I plan to get a small pocket size rated for 300lbs, and a larger spool for 550.
Do i need Thiner or Thicker line to cut wood branches?
I as almost purchased this on ebay. I went with a Ulticlip and am satisfied so far. Thank you for the upload.
pikal knife, very good in real self-defense
Bend in locating tabs as well as the top lips to center the feed and rhe rifle will work great! Don't modify the trigger alignment tang! I've done this on many mags and always works.
Nice looking gun. I agree 100%. Mine works fine with 4 rounds in it. Great video thank you kindly 😢
I’d like to see how it does cutting wood. I’d also like to see how different thicknesses of Kevlar cord cut. I have some 100# and some 550#, but would like to know what’s best for cutting through wood.
0.036 wtf who uses that as a real world measurement. That's as dumb as my father who, one day put up an order with measurements in thousandths, knowing our tape measure was millimetres and fractions of an inch. But what annoyed me was, I knew that the customer didn't didn't ask for it that way... Stupid way to run a a business, that is asking for a mistake.
I wanted to see if it's difficult to cut the kevlar. Everybody is saying to use it for prepping and it's like? what if it's a huge pain in the ass to cut to length?
Copper pipe
I had the same with the 22 magnum 93 model and the same fix mine in btvss 93 great review
i have the same rifle, you just filed the outside of the tabs?
Absolute dog shit product. Doesn’t matter how accurate they are the mag issues are driving me nuts
Fix as descibed in my post above and it will be a whole new gun for you! Guaranteed! Yes mags are the weak part of the gun.
Get an old door knob and see if you can cut a handle off as if you were locked in a room.
These 17s and 22mag savages are pieces of shit. I own both. You shouldnt have to put up with this crap on a new gun. Savage denies issues when I call yet there are literally 100s of complaints about the mags. I dont need to be a damn gunsmith after spending money on a gun. My Marlins dont give me any crap in these calibers.
I wish you'd as planned made more episodes of this series.
I bought a model 93 bull barrel. This mag makes this gun the biggest piece of shit ever made i will not ever get another savage can't wait to get rid of it.
Did you watch the video lol it’s a simple fix and the gun is great.. keep sobbing in a comment section tho ig
Dollar store cutting board..2 dollar project
Awesome video, just what I needed
That was the best hammer spring change out video I've ever seen. Keep it simple!
I actually did the exact same thing as this vid except for a self defense tool. I sharpened it in the shape of a punch knife so now I have a non metallic tool. Not super sharp but it’s good for puncturing things. That’s a good idea to make training knives like this
That knife will work bud...people incarcerated make a knife worst than the one your talking about. I think im gonna do the same for a non metallic tool.
Holy shit whats in your throat?
instead of saying "yeah you can use a hacksaw blade but you don't need a hacksaw, just the blade, but im gonna use a jig saw..." he actually used the hacksaw blade. legend
I don't know why a 10/22 is so picky about the ammo. I always judged the ammo by the brass, the shinyer the better but that's wrong. My stainless steel Was-mart liked the dirty old Remington Thunderbolts and the Federal Classics
really bad job on the stock
Out of curiosity what did you drill the hole with?
Thanks! Going to try it for a CRKT Scrub, hope it works, and if not, can try it on my cheapo Oerlas! Well done!
That is sweet! I didn't know Spyderco made these. Good upload!
Nice video 👍🏽
Looks very similar to the magazines for my Marlin XT22M
They look similar but are a bit different. I happen to have a Marlin 17hmr and the Savage 93 in 22 Magnum. The Marlin's are a bit wider.
@@ephraimcarrillo1055 Ah, I did find out the magazines for an old marlin 25M will fit the XT22M, and they can be found in 15 rounders and 12 rounders. But I have only found the 15 rounders so far.
I know this is an old video but I enjoyed it just the same. I recently received an 0350 from a buddy and thought about doing the same thing to the blade
I was hoping to see it go against some more substantial materials.
I bought one off my buddy he got from tops,he really don't use or need it,brand new 1095 carbon steel an micarta handle, super sharp.
Moron
Thank-you, Sir.
These guns are junk!!
I'm definitely doing this
Thanks for the video this was pretty smart because the cutting board is pretty strong and it will last a long time.
Hello.This inside clip?
Can it cut another piece of Kevlar cord?
What would you need to use to cut the Kevlar cord?
Like a normal cut or to friction cut the kevlar? It can cut like normal cordage with a knife or scissors, it's more resistant to abrasion but not a knife's edge.
I don't think it's Kydex. I think it must be injection molded plastic, which is good. The belt clip on the Cold Steel Kobun sheath is garbage, I think this is what I need.
It is certainly injection molded, and only textured to match kydex. It's a huge improvement over a lit of factory sheath clips, that said I've moved on to other designs. Check out Discreet Carry Concept clips for some superb spring steel clips that wont let go.
I was actually looking into this clip for that exact same knife lmao
@@wumboqwark The Cold Steel Securex sheaths (or whatever they're called) are made with glass fiber reinforcements. Glass is harder than steel, and will dull the edge of the knife. I ended up replacing the sheath also.
Do you think this could be bolted on to a cordura sheath? I am trying to carry it Iwb. Tia.
It definitely could be done. Just make sure to seal the holes you create for bolting in on, so that they don't fray and come unraveled over time. Not 100% sure if melting works with cordura like it does with other poly blends, but that's where I'd start.
