I raced one of these 5-stud speedway bikes in the late sixties. The 5-studs was replaced around 1948 by the 4-stud ones.Main disadvantage of the 5-stud was the aluminium conrod. With time they got longer, finally breaking, destroying crankcase. 4 studs had steel conrod. They also needed lots of maintenance compared to the JAWA. Main other advantage of the JAWA was the superiour chassis. Riding the JAP I could keep up with the JAWAs up to first bend.

Are you in the L.A. area still ?? I have the same Johnson fare box, I have restored the top half, but I can not get the counter mechanism out. It slides out about 1/4 and won't move any more. The pin has been pulled, but it will not budge... Any help would be greatly appreciated !!!

CJ, thank you so much for this video. My dad, Mike Curoso is wearing the #2 bib in this race but wore #54 on his helmet and leathers. He was maybe 20 years old in this video. You should have given us up close footage of the pistons and valves in motion.

My Model B made the same loud sound, I discovered it was coming from the shutter wheel. There are two small brass washers between it and the body, not too difficult to access, clean, and re-lubricate

Truly epic work there Sir. Loving the Britannic modifications you made for the gantry davits & aft deck for the stern. How did you make those & do you still have any drawings or plans for size? Im looking to convert my old 1/400 scale Revell 100th anniversary Titanic into Britannic & ive drawn a blank with getting the gantry davits & aft decks 3D printed in 1/400 scale. Ive emailed 2 sellers on Shapeways that makes these, if they can re-size them to 1/400, but as im in the UK, im thinking shipping costs might be high from them in the USA. Also ive posted on the RMS Titanic modelling group on facebook, asking the same question & ive had one response from a graphics designer, so lets see where that leads. Cheers, Wayne.

It adjusts the parallax at the same time it focuses the Lens. It’s not fixed focus. Hope this helps

Just noticed the 'Big Piece' resting in the port side corner of the stern wreckage. Lovely detail. There are three stoves resting at the end of the poop deck. Will you add them later on the wreck model?

The hand comes up and touches the coin but doesn't go all the way up to secure the coin. Therefore it doesn't snap back into the bank. What is holding the arm from coming all the way to it's full position?
