I have one kislux bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...
Thank you for your review!!! I truly appreciated it! We are going on our first Celebrity Cruise this summer. It is also the Hubbard glacier cruise out of Vancouver. It helped to see the visuals of the cruise port so we don't get lost :-) We are super excited. I enjoyed hearing about your experience, perspective and thoughts. Very genuine!! Ignore the negative comments. You did great!
With pending dry docking of Solstice in 2026, it should come out as one of looking ships and hopefully retain some of the things loved on the older ships, and missed on the newer ships (e.g. forward public spaces). Someone described this as an older Hilton/Marriott hotel, but nice to hear things are still clean and functional. If anything, I've learned to maybe not invest into the balcony rooms (too cold, dated) and instead maybe save that money for premium dining experiences. Thanks!
Sorry, I prefer the "dated" cabin to the boring taupe Hopper designed cabins in Celebrity's newest ships that have the warmth of a cave. Don't see why this is a thing with so many people. In fact, I find this ship to have much more style, charm and elegance than most new ships including the Edge Celebrity ships or Princess's Sun Princess. If the maintenance is an issue, sure. But a design that is just 12-14 years old isn't terribly dated. If folks need to constantly sail new ships, then no, you won't like the Solstice or Solstice class. If you like the small touches that make this ship charming and special, then sail it and hope that the service, entertainment and food delivery is to your liking. I would sail Holland America or Princess to Alaska. HAL knows what they are doing in Alaska and visit the most impressive glaciers. I'll say this if you go to Alaska on Celebrity, don't pick the Edge or Edge class. There is nothing like forward deck or even lounge views on those ships. The front of them is for suite passengers only. If you love your cabin then you can view things from there. But that takes away the bigger views you get outside on a ship. Still, there are times you need to be inside and that's where certain areas with views work best. Save the Edge ships for warm weather.
Hi, I just found your channel. Thanks for all the info, we are traveling on the Solstice this October from Honolulu to Sydney! We also have the same laundry hamper, I put a couple Bounce sheets in the bottom for the scents. Then throw the dirty clothes in a plastic bag in the suitcase. 😉🚢
bowlonaise!!!....This is NOT a full ship review. It is simply two people chatting and using bizarre pronunciations to well known words ....ARBA!......it's ABBA....I was on this very ship at Easter on the way to Australia......did you cover the fact that it has an actual grass lawn on the top deck....did you mention the glass blowing....did you mention the exclusive sun deck or the fact it does not have a covered pool? did you mention the silence screens for the corridors...NO.....dreadful review
I think you can consider the solarium pool a covered pool. But it isn't like HAL's covered pool. And I do agree that the Solstice has features that make it stand out as a ship, like the Lawn Club and glass blowing. What other ships have that?

We use a scented trash bag for our dirty clothes

Welcome aboard! Great idea for laundry hamper. Have a great cruise-it’ll be here before you know it!
