Hey I’m changing out the clutch and transmission on my own 07 Scion tc and came across your video, super helpful, I was wondering what is the color called on your tc I’m looking to get mine wrapped and this color is awesome

I'm about to remove the intake manifold to reach the top front coolant hoses, do you think I can reuse the manifold gaskets gaskets?

Also another question , how many of those tubes do you need if it’s 3 oz . 1 or two ? Or I need more ?

Hola amigo buenas tardes mis saludos desde maracay Venezuela yo tengo una suzuki j3 2008 igual a esa me gustaría que me ayudaras ella se achanta pierde fuerza le he cambiado las bujias,conectores de los inyectores, inyectores le baje el tanque de la gasolina cambie filtro pila todos esos y aun cuando surto de gasolina se le presenta mas aun el problema,otra cosa los cables negros que son de la gasolina estan a lado derecho no se como van me gustaria que me ayudaras gracias

Thanks for posting this video I bought my 05 scion in 2021 and it had 157,xxx miles on it. I am now just starting to deal with the transmission starting to slip at take off. Every other gear is fine. I’m also starting to get a whining noise from it. I have 324,xxx miles on it now and it’s just now starting to give me problems with the trans. The biggest issue I have is it drinks oil like a fish. I’m going through 4 qts a week I don’t want to get rid of it because it’s paid for.

Did you put in a new torque converter & did you fill it with tranny fluid before installing?

thank you for posting this video, I have a 2006 Grand Vitara with the same engine and have to remove the valve covers as well.

Finally somebody with the same car who knows about repairs. I need that camera so I can contribute to the videos. I upgraded the look of my truck & inspired a few people to go get the same one. Any time they see me they honk, but they just don’t know the hassle of getting parts & repairs done.😢😅 Reliable truck, but once it’s time to fix it it’s really time to fix it. Suzuki no longer being in the US & the truck being foreign, everything is a weird mystery fix for me.

What is the torque spec on intake manifold

Bro I’ve been having issues with my scion tc for awhile now and I can’t get to the bottom of it. I’d really appreciated your help. First it has no codes, spark plugs are new as well as the ignition packs. MAP senor new, 02 sensor new as well. And every time I hit 60 mph it feels like my transmission is forcing itself. Then the rpm’s start jumping from 2 1/2 to 3 and back to 2 1/2. Almost as if it’s slipping. You think it’s something minor or definitively my transmission?

Update: 09/28/23. I installed the automatic transmission 2 days ago and it has been running phenomenal. Don't be discouraged from buying a used transmission. Just do your due diligence like in the video and you should be all set. Thank you for uploading this video. It was very helpful. You should definitely upload more videos like doing maintenance.

Update 09/18/23. I did my due dilligence and found a transmission on Ebay for $700 including shipping. The VIN was verified and the car had damage on the rear passenger side. The car appeared to be in good condition and had 104k miles on it. The seller provided many photos. So, I'm currently just waiting on the delivery. Any other important tips you didn't mention in the video, when replacing the transmission?

What a great video! Definitely earned a sub! My Automatic transmission just gave out at 141k miles. I bought it used with 84K miles nearly 10 years ago, so this car has been extremely reliable. Never had a problem beforehand. Besides looking at the photos. Did you verify the VIN number? DId you replace your tranmission in the past because I'm shocked it lasted 286K miles? If the old lasted that long, is there any tips you can give me for the longetivity of the transmission? i.e: How often did you change the transmission filter/fluid? Do you add any additives to your car? If so, which one? Sorry for so many question. But, you look like a very informative person, so I'm willing to listen to your advice. Thank you. Keep up with the great content!

I would have punched a hole in the middle of the rubber grommet either using a razor knife or possibly even drilling a hole instead of running it along the side of it like that that could possibly eventually rub through causing a short to ground hope your power wire from vibration

I use it for oval racing. Just learning how the turbo/ boost works. What would the settings be to get it to kick in in the lower rpm range ? To get the boost. Out of the turn going down the straightaway

Do you have any tuning advice for the boost & turbo setup ? I just got the 1/8 scale 150 amp version of this esc . I'm more into speed runs & some track racing , i really want to get it dialed in for a speed run or two before the weather turns too cold. Thanks.

I got this esc as well. Very smooth and powerful. The only problem is the brake strength, have to set to 100% else it just won't work.
