The visual chemistry of the new members and the 23:00 members was surprisingly good, I also feel like they matched quite well and seemed very balanced in terms of vocals and dance for all the three MVs!

Nectar is probably my favorite The Boyz song and Mv ever. I never thought anything could top Bloom Bloom but Nectar is just that song for me. I also graduated this year which is why this song perfectly fit into my 2024. It makes me tear up every time (legit cried my eyes out during their concert)

I wasn't expecting the last two videos, and I'm so glad you watched them. The accompanying Generation Z interviews are a lovely insight into each member. And I'm sure someone else has mentioned the Be Your Own King video has each member representing an idea, a theme, a story they wished. From the sad dark corners of my brain I give you my best guesses/remembering: Juhaknyeon is referencing Romeo and Juliet while showing like self love, I also see a reference to narcissus in there. Younghoon is a king from kdrama I think (I can't remember if there was a specific reference). Kevin as Peter Pan obviously. Juyeon being soft and breaking away form the stereotypical sexy Juyeon everyone always sees him as, literally destroying the giant sexy Juyeon persona in his jorts and his flower crown. Sunwoo and Q just need to calm the fuck down as usual. But Sunwoo was showing his playful side while being a menace to society. Q was showing a kind of edgier darker side, and making the world his stage. Hyunjae is doing something, I have no clue tbh. But I do know he was nervous in the water, so maybe it was a personal challenge to himself or something. Chanhee is referencing YSL (the creator of the first tuxedo for women) which is so cool because he's always criticized for being feminine. He's a big believer of clothing having no gender and has always worn what he wanted, so him strutting in what you'd normally see as male attire is him breaking his own stereotype. Sangyeon being a whole problem. But wearing the whole boxing regalia to be a "campion" in the arcade games, basically saying being a champion is whatever you want it to mean. Jacob dressed as a pilot and flying the fairground ride just being the cutest bean, and finding his freedom. Eric. Jesus Christ. It's supposed to be about youthfulness, his crown literally says "YOUTH", but because of the curve of it, all I see is "OUT" in massive letters as he sits atop the car with the pink lit interior, in his fluffy little coat. Yeah. And they each have a crown, fitting the theme of whatever they're portraying. I loved that whole concept. I hadn't seen the last two videos in a while, so I loved seeing them again.

Nectar is part three of the Phantasy series, with 1 = Lip Gloss, 2 = Watch It. Lip Gloss is like fluffy, puppy love, youthful summer vibes. Watch It is more grown, kind of aggressive, and about the danger of being seduced. Or kind of like warning you about the danger of this all encompassing (and maybe toxic) romance, but you're diving in headfirst anyway. Then Nectar is soft again, and is framed as a farewell to youth. It's like they're graduating from their youth and embracing an unsure future. I've seen it called a bittersweet love letter to their beautiful youth, and I like that. The paper cranes everywhere for me symbolise hope and healing, and the well wishes for the future. And the random bursts of grief we see, and them wandering through the forest are like the fear of change, of growth, typical angsty shit. And there's a lot of lingering moments where they're like saying goodbye to their youth throughout as well. Honey is illegal. And I love Cheese In The Trap.

"Nectar" actually made me tear up when it first came out. I knew that their contracts were coming to an end, and I was so scared thinking that it would be their final release together... Being with them since their predebut days, I had watched four of them graduate high school and had seen them go through so much. Even though it's been seven years, I'm not ready to say goodbye to these guys and I truly love them a lot. Thankfully they got to stay together as a family when they moved to One Hundred. I was so worried they wouldn't be able to take all of them since that hasn't really been done before with such a large group.
