when go young asks gyuho "you don't find me dirty now, do you?" (and I remember dabit touching on this moment as well), in korean he's basically saying something along the lines of "you don't think i'm sexy anymore, do you" which again, I think is a reflection of how go young doesn't believe he deserves love, how he internalizes instead of communicating, how he subconsciously feels like a burden because of his hiv status, etc... In the IG live he did, jin hoeun was talking about this scene and analyzing gyuho's response and the embrace as him reassuring go young; regardless of whatever has happened in their lives, it is him trying to say, "i loved you then, i love you now, and i will always love you, so please don't worry."
As a deep thinker, I recognize deep thinkers, which is why I always enjoy your analysis of these scenes that touch on more than the superficial. Having been married a long time, I understand this episode. The small things kill a relationship. The series showed this perfectly. It is a choice and work to stay together, which sadly Go Young is unable to do. He cannot accept happiness and let go of Gyu Ho too easily.
as you both said there are so many little things to unravel in this episode but also i think when gyuho talked about never having his own place or own space and how go young looks at him… it gives go young truly feels like a burden to gyuho. the show is so good and im glad yall are liking it too ❤
Being in the healthcare service.. seeing gyu ho putting soo much effort into the relationship.. housework plus his job(it's already a trauma) and not getting appreciated and nitpicked was soo frustrating to watch in this episode 😂.. I get go young was not in a place to let him in his life.. but still gyo ho.. babyyy 😫
I know neither of them was in the wrong, but Goyoung was getting on my nerves at certain moments 😂 (mostly because I wanted him to be happy, which I know on itself is idealistic)
He was trying to be selfless in letting him go thinking he could not go but does not want to hold him back. Also feeling like explaining why he cannot go is something he cannot do. Very tragic love story trope.
Yes if you find you a Gyuho or Adam .. lol keep them! ☺️ this episode showed such true day to day struggle of a relationship. I wished they were happily in China together 🥺 but unfortunately nope. Go Young ending scene on the train broke my heart bc he deserves to be loved. ❤️ thank you for another great recap!
To me, Go Young is Greta Garbo, an innate loner. There's a bunch of shots peppered throughout the show of him standing alone in the frame with his back towards the camera (in this episode there was that stunning shot on the rooftop of his office buliding), that, to me, are meant to indicate the fact. The disruption of the plan to move to China by Kylie was, to me, yet another confirmation of that. I don't know what Gyu Ho, as ideal as he was, could have done that would have made them last. I feel Go Young would have eventually found another reason why they couldn't have worked out just so he could go back to being alone.

I took the turning off of the alarms as Gyu Ho is back and will wake him up - another thing that Gyu Ho does for him.

I saw somewhere that Go Young and Gyuho spent 3 years together, from 2020 to 2022.
I almost cried again listening to you guys talk about this episode 😭😭
OH PERFECT I had just binge watched your recaps yesterday!

Gyuho is a keeper. Cant say any more than that.. 😢😢😢
Taenini is in the bg😅 everywhere I go I see him
Move to Thailand with Freddie... although Thailand seems to love a bit of martial law (well the military does).
are you going to watch the movie based on the same book?😊

Go Young was annoying me this episode 😅
