Op.15 No.4 is so great; truly an under appreciated gem! That recurring motif of the jump up to the high treble E is just so charming. This piece will always be special to me as it was the first piece I learned after coming home from the hospital following a serious illness. I needed something simple to learn while convalescing and so chose it. Playing it always made me feel better during a difficult time in my life.

I love scriabin's early preludes

My favourite cadenza is the complete (6 minutes long) cadenza from Medtner's 1st movement of 2nd piano concerto, it's so underrated!

He didn't hold the ending fermata long enough, though. I'm not criticizing. I'm just pointing it out.

My favorite is prokofiev 2

In some ways, it reminds me of the cadenza to Grieg's piano concerto, which is also a great one. Prokofiev 2 also has a long but good one.

Gorgeous interpretation of early romantic Scriabin .. that rubato, the inner voices, the sensitive dynamics, the exquisitely beautiful legato left hand. Just wish Yuja would record more of Scriabin’s works … the heavenly Ballade and Elegie for starters!

Wonderful! I have always appreciated Blechacz's sparing use of the pedal (so rare nowadays), which results in a pleasing, Rubinsteinesque clarity.

Genuine suggestion, check out Alexeev Dimitri. his scriabin is one of the best scriabin interpretations ever, and he’s a pure scriabinist.

Poor Clayton, the amount of disappointment and failure he had was probably the worst feeling ever. but he’s seriously an amazing pianist, what unique repertoire he has.
