HONDA CRV CIVIC VENTS NOT CHANGING
Expand your video and turn phone portrait if viewing on a phone for best results. This video I provide information about fixing a problem where the vents won’t switch or change when you hit the mode button. If your vents will not change from floor to dash to directly at you... this might be your problem. I just changed mine and learned a lot that I was unable to understand with internet research prior to attempting the project. Hopefully it is helpful. The Honda CRV and Civic are almost identical and will relate if you attempt to change your mode actuator. I am not a mechanic.. do your research and you assume all risk when listening, viewing or considering any information herein.

This is a video about my Chevrolet Silverado in the issues that I have had while owning it. Even though this video is comical everything is true about what has happened as well as information I provide about design flaws. During this video I do curse a few times so please be aware of that. The truck in the video is a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado but I’ve owned since brand new. I have on Chevy truck...

This is a small project that I did to add a little bit of lighting to see in my door storage compartments. I think the interior lighting in the 2015 Chevy Silverado is piss poor so anything is better than what I have. I have about 20.00 in this project and I don't have to add any toggle switches or modify my truck in any major way. Hope this helps someone out.

this was the best vid I watched, I do need both parts the blend door for heat on the driver side and the mode door so it will switch out of defrost mode where it gets stuck. The passenger cool/heat works fine.

Replaced mine today. Worked with a partner who had already changed his, so had some insight as to what was going to happen. We started by removing the Air Filter Cleaner Box to give us more room to move around plus we removed the bracket the heater hoses mounted to so we could move those around some to get my arm down in there. I went ahead and replaced the wires also as my truck has 180,000 plus miles. It was not easy to remove the wires from each plug but since we weren't reusing them, we just gripped really hard and pulled, some thou, I used a pry bar to get a little extra force as not having much room to get both hands down inside on the passenger side and that helped some. Can't even see the number 8 plug on the passenger side once you remove the wire, so I did craw under the truck and was able to get on it, loosened it enough and turned it out enough that my extension started hitting the firewall, so removed the extension but no room to maneuver my hands around and grab just the spark plug socket and turn it, luckily my friend was able from the top side to get two fingers and turn it to finish removing it. I got the new plug started and tightened as much as I could but was just no room to maneuver the rachet enough to tighten. We replaced the 3/8 rachet with a longer 1/2 rachet and a regular 5/8 socket which was about a 1/2" longer. I guided the socket onto the plug, held it the best I could while he tightened it from topside. In all, took us about 3 hours to complete the job. A cheater pipe also came in handy to help with breaking loose and tightening the plugs.

I just did the same thing this week, but used blue rock lights mounted them on the screws T 10 for the panels right next to where you mounted your lights there about an inch and a half long plenty to go through the rock light and still mount the panel. I had fun, checking out the wires on that switch, the crazy wire you’re talking about actually gets power when the automatic lights is activated by the darkness and it stays on as long as it’s dark. It will also work with the door open activation, but it’s only on for about 30 seconds then shuts off. I then connected it to the same light as you did, and everything works great manual on and door, activation, or manual off.

Great video, I agree these trucks dont have adequate lighting. Also these door sills may intrest you they use the same dome lights like you did, I doubt as bright but light up the same area. These videos show where you can tap in to the dome lights, Gray Wire at the BCM near the drivers feet, this would allow you to bypass running the wire from the top to the emergency brake since it's already near the emergency brake. Same guy installs some door handle llights too. th-cam.com/video/6vFuV9TAGZE/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/CJiLdc1Sq30/w-d-xo.html

Sadly, I ordered that same part number from rock auto. 1712483 it would not spin when I installed it… so I went back to the site and found out 1712483 is actually an actuator for an accord not a CR-V and they won’t refund it because it’s already installed. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Part 1712747 is the correct part for a CR-V. They look identical but I have not had success with the accord part. Just wanted to fwd that info.
