Documenting the work carried out by better then average plumbers?
Connecting Wet Underfloor Heating
This is part 2 in a recent underfloor heating installation. I lay 20mm Jackoboard with 16mm grooves using MLCP pipework. We also wire in the Heatmiser RF wiring center and a EPH 3-WAY programmer. Using a Salus wiring center I rewire the complete heating system. Be worth checking out part 1 "Adding underfloor heating" to see the pipework alterations required to connect onto a heat only pressurised system. Thanks for watching. #lovingplumbing #underfloorheating #heating #plumbing

มุมมอง 3K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
We have been hired last minute to get a new renovation ready for the installation of a Viessmann vitcoal 150-A air source heat pump. We have underfloor heating installed into grooved OSB 22mm chipboard flooring and we start piping up the plant room. As time is of the essence we have switched to MLCP and press fit. Hopefull it will all be good !

In this video I will show you the initial process of adding a new wet underfloor heating zone to an existing gas boiler and central heating system. From installing the new flow an return pipework, to altering the existing system using CCT Close coupled Tee's for better performance. Please look out for the next video where we will be installing the low profile system. #lovingplumbing #underfloor...

มุมมอง 8K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
Installing wet rooms doesn't need to be stressful. These kits from Jackoboard include the wet room former, wet room trap and tanking membrane kit. When a shower tray is not an option or you want something more sleek and sophisticated, a wet room can really give your bathroom that wow factor. Although this is a quick guide hopefully it will help you understand the process of installing the kit a...

Nice pipework! (But please turn the music down or off when you're talking, can't hear a word 😅)
1600L flow might be a little high, Heat Geeks say around 1200L is ideal to reduce pump load and pipe wear.
Can you run this 100e thermostat without internet? Is it able to communicate directly with the boiler or do you have to have internet connectivity? Thanks
Hi mate nice work. Can you please advise how many kw combi boiler I can use for underfloor heating on 3 bedrooms house 2 levels Just under floor heating, thanks for your time!
Here in the UK, I inherited one, exactly the same model, from previous owner who bought it in mid 2022. It gave me error code E012, called Navien technical support, was told to seek external help by a very rude technical support guy. Spent 2 weeks plus via referrals and service companies contacting 10+ engineers, but All refused to take up the job, reason being Navien got very bad technical support, rude staff, and very difficult to obtain replacement parts - a nightmare. It seems it's far better for me to replace it with a common brand boiler like Worcester Bosch of which much easier to get engineer to fix and easier to obtain parts here. 😢😢
I have a similar job to be done in my new home. Please can you message me back if you are interested to discuss. Thank yiu, Simon.
I only install Viesmann boilers. Never had a problem with them
Aye aye mate! I have found if you use a streak / spigot elbow in wall you can cut it right down to a Max of 15mm and then you can just use the couplin version of that elbow you have and can install it second fix, you can get away with the shroud that come with the trap as everything is in wall, wished I could post a photo of what I mean 🤣 if that makes sense.
HI, Could you use Pex barrier pipe going to manifold or copper is the way? iam using Pex pipe on manifold and attached to copper pipe on boiler.
The thumbs up at the end is what MMplumber does (I’m sure it’s a compliment)
Oh really 😂. To be honest I've not watched it. I was going to make this video long format but Christ it was boring.
@ 😉 it’s sort of his trademark at the end of his shorts. But you’re awesome too 👌🏼👍🏼
Trade marked the thumbs up 😂. Cheers mate. Next time il do the 🤘🏻
Is the expansion tank, plastic???
Search chrome basin trap pipe adapter
Off subject mate but with the mlcp. How do you size it in relation to copper pipe sizes? Do the transition fittings restrict the flow? Want to use it on a job coming up but worried about flow rates to showers etc
I think the 40mm shroud mcalpine do fits over that 32mm chrome nut
Years ago I came across where there was a neat wrap of electrical tape around the chrome part and that then glued into the fitting, I thought it was mad but I’ve used it ever since and I’ve never had a leak from it.
Finish the wall and then put the shroud on.
Instalation ruined by that dreadful dangling tied up cable.
Where do you get your mlcp pipe from? I’ve been using the pre insulated pipe … with the hard insulation and it’s a nightmare to work with
Natural green heat 👍🏻
Soil runs are way to long and yes floplast is sheit
You can't be a professional plumber, in 40 years on site never hear a plumber admit to being wrong 😅😅😅
No he is definitely a professional plumber, he knows the quality of the pipes he used are of inferior quality but choose to installed them anyway, defo a pro
🤣
Hi i wanted to fit a new combi boiler and new radiators, will i be able to get rid of the cylinder and water tank system and run it all by the combi boiler?
Great videos. Could you possibly do a video or explain when all of a sudden my boiler isn't heating my underfloor up. All valves open, connected, boiler ok, pressurd ok. All i can put it down to is a connection issue. My heating system upstaurs is coming off the same boiler separately. Im just stuck. Thank you
Floplast must be adding a significant proportion of re-ground PVC to the feedstock compared to other manufacturers. Circa 5% regrind doesn’t alter the physical properties of the pipe much but as the amount of regrind increase so does the brittleness and resistance to UV light as well. Using the regrind from off speciation material as well as start-up and shut down helps Floplas raw material costs especially if their processes are badly controlled and produce a lot of scrap.
It's becoming more frequent now.
How are ya mate. Can’t seem to find that nerrad immersion Spanner anywhere. Where did you get it.
Just make a new seal with PTFE, it takes 30 seconds to run PTFE around where the washer would go & it is actually a better seal than the little rubber washer makes?
Think you need to watch it again.
@DF-cc5im I must not have full video because after he says mcalpine what a stitch up it repeats the video again, so I'm presuming he continues to make a new seal with PTFE on the full video thought it was a bit strange complaining about no seal 👍🏿
His talking about the nut what screws into the bath waste not the washer
@dolfimus haha yeah ffs, mcalpine what a stitch up 🤣🤣
I blame the immigrants
The sensor, use a white pvc conduit end box, screwed over the pocket and then 20mm flex conduit across to the wall….
Thanks for the really helpful video! In 1:23 of your video, how much room did you leave between your skirting and the holes? Is there a recommended distance when installing freestanding taps?
He man. Muscles on your spit 😂
Had ot before on a sink trap, to be fair it wasn't Mcalpine, i did over come it by cutting off the old nut and warmed it gently with the gas torch until it became soft, pushed it on and left to go cold and hard again.
😂😂😂
Never 😧
I won’t make a rude comment about squeezing nut out 😂 It usually makes me just laugh and think it only happens to me when I get something like that
Deez nuts?
Superb quality craftsmanship on show rather than usual ‘it is what it is ‘ crowd.
Thank you for watching 👍🏻
Well done. I may need a whole day to sort out those wiring.😅
Hope your pulling them 2 top tiles down
🥱🥱🥱🥱
Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year Luke 👍
Thank you . Same to you 👍🏻
Well done 👍👌👏
Navien are pure junk, Be a future favourite with Asian landlords for sure Cheap and nasty
Better than the gym👍😀
That tool won't exist 10 years from now. To much pex. I'm still a copper and sweat guy.
15mm manual benders won’t exist soon, all down to battery tools.
WELL DONE DAD🎉❤😂
I blame the immigrants
Where the box from?
Sortimo
Excellent
You must be fire blanks😂😅😂😅😅😂😅
What's the score with wiring the extra pump after the plate is it just wired on the same switch live that kicks boiler and pump on
Thought it was going to be covered in blood.
