Here's a tip you should keep in mind. In your clothing inventory, for the jackets, pants, etc. where there are 2 columns, the outer columns on each side, so pants right side and jackets left side, those are outer wear. The ones toward your character are inner wear. What you wear on the outer columns affects your warmth rating a lot more. So, if you have something that has a high protections to wind or water, you want to slot those on the outerwear and the warmth buffs on the inner wear. And if you find a great clothing item you might want to keep it and just patch it with cloth. Repairing clothing items increases the buffs to their fullest again: wind protection, warmth, water protection.

Even if the fire fails once, you still can try again, theres a percentage that you will succeed

I have only played the survival mode so I'm enjoying watching you play the story. That camp office is usually where I make my home base for about the first 1/3 of the game, cozy, work bench and good fishing👍

This is my absolute favourite game. I play this every year between November and February. My advice, play the first run how you want to. Don't worry too much about too much stuff. This game is meant to be played more than once. Enjoy the experience and disregard should and shouldn't do. But that being said, a few tips. 1. For all the medicine there is an equal part in nature. I.e painkillers = rosehip. 2. For fires, light a torch first with a match then build a fire using the torch as the firestarter. 3. Dont run. It will get you farther walking, as you lose less calories when walking. 4. To restore constitution eat something before going to bed. You recover faster that way or you can pick up birch bark, the white/grey bark, and brew that into a tea. You can also drink herbal tea before bed. 5. Drinking coffee gives you an energy boost. It's always good to have a cup or two on you for emergecies. Now, here's hoping you might make a series playing survival or some of the challanges.

Love this series so far and love this game so much! A tip without spoiling anything, make sure you’re harvesting old clothes to repair the ones you wear. Once they get ruined to 0% there’s no saving them.

There is no point in hoarding in Wintermute, repair and craft what you have to their lightest and most useful form (i have no idea why you aren't doing that with all your papers) while you wait for stuff to cook, thoroughly check interiors - no point in rushing- . always have bandages and a light source (torch is simplest and lightest) and an extra pair of gloves. Food that can be cooked probably should be cooked as they give you calorie bonuses and a cold-resistance buff> maybe take a few minutes to read the info section when they update

Is it possible for you to reverse the video order in your 'The Long Dark' playlist? Right now it plays the newest first when it would make more sense for it to play the oldest.

Valhiem is a good game but very combat heavy. I think you would like Smalland, very similar to Grounded but without new game+

Nice Job on Beating the Infected Brood-mother, I used a similar build, but with a different trinket and helmet. Mantis Helmet maxed out bulk for bleed with crit, Dust armor chest piece Sleek for Dust Cloud, and Fire Ant leggings sleek for corrosion. The Toenail Scimitar is particularly effective against infected bugs, such as the Infected Brood-mother, and lowers attack and damage by 10% for 10 seconds, but it doesn't stack. I used the Giddy Goop (A Trinket from firefly's with a 1% or 1/15 to steal) to slow her attack and movement speed. I remember the first time trying to beat them, took me about 2 days to beat, had to go on pc just to beat them, fun times. Also, Try heading to the picnic table and find the white D&D dice (At least what I'm sure it is) and i recommend hitting it with the fresh mint mace, or something like it) until you roll a d20, I'm not sure if you have gotten the level 2 mutation for coup de grass, but it good, Last thing, it you wanna do a lot of more Crit Chance and damage, I recommend eating the Perfect toast, equipping the coup the grass and trapper's peepers, and equipping the might upgrade for the Scythe of Blossoms gives you an increase chance of Crit and damage for Crits.

Very proud of you for taking on that moldy mother demon. Especially since you said it took you a very long time and you didn't give up! Could have just lied and acted like it was a breeze but you didn't. And will definitely stick around for a New Game Plus!

Comparing this game to submautica makes so much sense to me. Survival, crafting, base building, big scary creatures… the only difference is that you’re actually supposed to fight back! Playing this game for the first time really was like playing subnautica for the first time and I wish I could have that experience back

i got mint mace and fuly upgraded roly polly armour im gonna fight mant later tonite

im good at grounded if i dont say so myself, i sudgest upgrading mint mace to like lvl 7-9 and trying to get the coaltana for fighting spiders, and for boss fights get like 30 beefy soothing syrup and 5 sticky soothing syrup (you could do a beefy liquid rage if your feeling impatient)

I usually just use the Black Widow dagger. On the Wasp Queen and stay close concentrate on her she usually dies pretty quickly.

Man that wolf spider just started doing parkour also rounds are for the turret and lesson learned never be lazy 😂 also the IBM is way harder than wasp queen
