Hi, if you use the description and you draw a card in one turn, can you also make a Lore? Or if you draw a card you can’t do a lore? Thank u

Two things: 1, I recorded this when someone was sleeping upstairs (I don't have a cool private room.. yet) so I was trying to be quiet, though I do get a bit louder as the video goes on. 2, Agustin Madrigal, the dad, was released today, AFTER I had recorded this video. He's a "goon" with his inkable 1 cost, 2 strength, 2 willpower, quests for 1 Lore. He's OK, but slightly better when paired with Mirabel for that 1 extra Lore.

Do you think it might be possible that a deck that plays cheap creatures of 2 or more quest points will dominate? The deck has no focus on attack, it just quests 10 creatures while letting them die freely

I recorded this video a week or so ago and in it I talked about Steel/Amethyst being the top deck. While that WAS true, basically anything with Steel is really solid now, like Steel/Amber and Steel/Sapphire. Steel is just really good and this Tinker Bell just pushes it to the best color at the moment. (Grab Your Swords helps, too)

Just in Time, Lantern, One Jump Ahead, Detective Mickey and 2 different shifts make it easy to get at least one Dreaming Guardian from turns 3-5. That combos really well with Ariel and/or Moana. If you go the Emerald route, Aurora lets cats and Cruellas run wild!

I loved her ability when I first saw the card, but the more I think about it, the more niche she is. She certainly isn’t a card you build your deck around, and she also is more expensive than others I’d want to play. (I’d rather play Mulan or Goofy, especially if there turns out to be a 1-drop item or action worth playing in my deck, like Develop Your Brain or just a 2-2 character.) How often will only one lore make a difference for your opponent, and even when it does, how often will you be able to capitalize on that and win instead? Ruby cards are splashy and tend to be greedy, and I think this is a card that in theory is good but in practice isn’t powerful enough to outweigh deck consistency. I still appreciate you mentioning her though! Thanks again for another solid discussion starter.

I would like to add, and I can't believe I didn't talk about it, is that Cerberus can also be used in an Amber/Steel deck using Just in Time to get him out sooner. We also have Moana and the new Amber Goofy as great targets for Just in Time. This can put some great pressure on the board early and punish your opponent for trying to Challenge your characters when you have an early-game Cerberus in play.

I think Hei-Hei's Support would definitely be helpful in a pinch, if we don't get any actions or items that buff strength. But I definitely see your point, nice observation!

This is a great discussion to bring up on how games may run. I don't know if I would call it 'their purpose' to be inked as much as this is just a frequent result of a cool feature of the game. You ink the cards you don't need. If you have an overabundance of 1 drops in your deck then they are definitely ideal resources, especially when you are past turn 1 and you will get more value out of playing fewer, but higher value cards. I feel like there could be a similar argument made with really expensive cards, that they will always be inked except for the one or two that you get in your hand once you have a ton of ink to end the game. It may all depend on what the ratio of cards at each cost will be when we see the whole set, definitely seems like they are favoring these 1 drop vanillas here early so this may end up how all decks are built until we get enough additional cards. I am hoping we end up in a spot where decks contain two or three strategies and you ink the cards irrelevant for the strategy you want to use, based on what your opponent is doing. For example, if you want to go wide with Stitch Rock Star then maybe you don't ink your 1 drops, but if you are going with a different strategy you do.

Seeing these Emerald cards makes me think reckless will be powerful in the mid game. They will bring other evasives and more powerful cards in general into range for both Genie and Beast. If they can just make reckless a little more annoying to deal with, this could be a great combo deck color. I hope there is a character who has an ability to not let an opponent song songs next turn. Them + Iago means the perfect trap has been set!
