Tying a Multicolored Tail Crappie Jig

This is a great way to utilize your materials to maximize creativity and save you some money!
Head: 1/16 oz round head
Paint: White ProTec powder paint
Hook: Size #6 sickle
Thread: White uni thread 6/0
Body: Red rayon chenille
Tail: Yellow, red, black, marabou

Very nice mustache. By the way...if you are painting your heads red, white or black....go to harbor freight and get their powder paint in these colors. Although those are the only ones they carry you get 16 ounces for around 9 bucks. The powder paint from harbor freight cures just as glossy at a fraction of the price. I use the white a lot for my base coat on my custom spinner baits. I have also found that harbor freight powder paints mix extremely well with protec when custom making colors. It also takes fine glitter as well. You probably already know this but I had to share. It has saved me a ton of money over the years. They use to offer a clear coat powder that I used a lot when mixing different fine glitters but unfortunately they stopped carry it. Great base colors for the price.

I don't think Harbor Freight carries the red anymore and the black powder paint is matte. Still the white and black are a better value compared to Protec paint.

What type of marabou do you use? Yours has much better “ends” than the packages I’ve been receiving
