For some reason, I have immediate confidence in that jig. I would fish the heck out of that for redear, gill and crappie. Awesome tie

We were talking about using something other than earthworms for the kids to catch bluegill. Someone suggested using a jig under a bobber or bubble... Using a cane pole or spinning rod. We're talking grade school kids (Cub Scouts) or teens working on the Fishing Merit badge. Question... do you have a video on how you fish your jigs? Your thoughts please.

I don’t have a video like that, but I can make one. I typically fish it under a bobber, jigging it occasionally to keep it moving.

Great tie. Try doing it the other direction too.. As in stretch & double the exo skin and start and finish the wraps at the head... This way the ribs are facing toward the direction you are pulling the jig creating more disturbance. It will also make it wiggle more on the drop as opposed to having the edges behind. Think aerodynamic vs drag. You can also use far less floss that way.

Mustache....those artic grayling were absolutely beautiful. Not sure of the regulations but my mouth was watering when you caught them. Not sure if you have ever eaten grayling but they are awesome. I learned something in your video....I did not realize we had grayling in the stares. I k ew there were some in Alaska and of course Canada. Were those grayling native or stocked. Really enjoyed watching you fish those high altitude lakes.

They were stocked, but they are native to Idaho also!

What do you do with the rest of the marabou? Is it just waste or still usable? I've made less than 5 but your videos have helped me tremendously, thank you

Do you pour your own jigs or buy pre-poured and just paint them?
