- This jig is similar to a tube jig. It's super versatile and catches pretty much anything!

Hook: Size #2 Mustad ultrapoint hook
Thread: White Uni thread 6/0
Body: Powder blue cascade crystal Antron chenille, Fl. white UV mottled galaxy mop chenille

I don't tie a lot of silicone crappie jigs but if I did....this would be one of the ones I would tie. Great job Mustache. Love the colors.
They work great, those 3in grubs are just silicon and they crush it
Sweet!! A fantastic color combination!! Well done my friend!! Thanks for sharing!!
Great looking jig. Now I need to buy some of those rubber legs....
New patterns, love it 👍🏻
Good looking jig. Well done sir.
Gonna make some this fall/winter thanks for the tips and advice 😊
Really really good looking jig. Those colors will work. Nice job.
Super Dave!!!! Haven't seen your posts lately. Have you heard anything about smalljaw? I am getting really worried about him. I ha e tried several times to contact him either by phone or email and have not gotten responses. I am worried about him because he always response. Been fishing Guntereville and doing g really well but most fish are in the 11.5 to 12.5 inch range. I am waiting for the water temps to drop. Hope you are well...
@@alexrawleigh3167 no I haven’t heard anything on smalljaw. Fall bite is getting close. Hopefully it’s a good year.
Nice jig
Good evening…I am just beginning to entertain the idea of tying my own crappie jigs…I really enjoy your style…some very nice looking jigs…I’m having a hard time finding the unpainted jigs heads…I want to also learn how to powder paint as well…
So…where is best to purchase the unpainted jig heads (ball/pill-head/minnow/etc)?
For a beginner, where and what feathers, chenille, etc should I start with?
Any ideas or recommendations for tools, materials, etc would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance
I get my sickle jigheads from David Wayne Grimmett Sr. on Facebook. For sharp J hooks I get them from bucktaillures.com. As far as tools and materials, check out my jig tying for beginners series!

Is there a difference between "Crazy Legs" and "Rubber Skirts"
I don’t think so.
I was just Wondering if you can put some of that orange by the head just a little orange what it would look like 4-5 strings
Im sure that would look really good!
What bobbin do you recommend I’m pretty new and mine is damaging tread
I use the cheapest ceramic bobbin I could find. I’ve used the same one for like 12 years.
