Curious how you feel about this, I think tuning lower stops having an impact on heaviness around C/B. If you played the same riff in drop C and drop A I don’t think it would sound heavier, just lower.

Your guitar sounds awesome! I just got my first set of emg. What height do you have your emg 81 and 60 set at? I can't find any solid info on how close to the strings they should be.

I used to use 81s as a bridge pickup in most of my Les Pauls. I have since changed and put the stock pickups back. I have nothing against the 81 as it is a great pickup. It's just really hot. I would like to see what the 81 as a neck pick up with the 85 in the bridge position sounds like. The 85 in the neck position gets a little muddy as you get lower on the neck. I bet it would sound great as a bridge pick up, not that it's bad as a neck pickup. 🤘🤘🤘

i have a question, i just bought a guitar yesterday and an amplifier, but my electric guitar doesn't make the same sound as yours how do i get that real riff sound from it? im like a beginner beginner i love the music but never played guitar in my whole life
