    Tobias, I think you would be amazed how many mentions / recommendations you and Krumilex get on pure EV car channels as great viewing regarding Electric Trucks. Another great trucking video and great to see that my former employer Maersk (I was master of numerous of their container ships) is now using electric trucks too - as a logistics giant they have been at the forefront of reducing the amounts of fuel that their fleet of ships consumes and thus the amount of CO2 emitted which for a single ship carrying 23000 x 20ft containers is huge!

      re: "so if newcomers get on the road with no info from there employer about the truck they can consult their app for some basics." which is sure to happen as this already occurs NOW between employers and new drivers with Diesel Trucks, so how much MORE will this be the case with E-Semis so good idea.👍

    And THIS is how you move the industry forward! Great job. The app for truckers is something that is sorely needed. When the "price war" in charging hits (and it WILL), it will be the first movers with the most RELIABLE infrastructure that is easy to use who will be able to cut prices and compete on volume. For truckers, that means charging without having to drop your trailer, in a "pull through" spot and having a place to sleep. As battery costs come down, they won't even NEED a "grid-tie" if there is solar or wind available nearby. Battery prices are STILL in free fall in China for volume - mostly because disingenuous (or openly HOSTILE, like Trump's USA) governments are screwing the world for VERY short-term and stupid political gains. I'm hoping China stands firm and fast as the US destroys itself ( *ONLY the US can destroy the US* China is just watching them do it).

    Very good documentary. It’s the same in some ways for cars. I had to use about four different apps when I owned an eGolf. I only found one that I could plan around a rest stop, restaurant and active charger with no faults. Tesla have this taken care of as all their chargers are usually situated near a hotel or restaurant. Good luck with the project.

    Even a single truck should be a good customer for a CPO. How many vehicles can connect for two hours and pull 300kW? Most passenger cars drop to 10-15kWh after 30 minutes.

    That's actually pretty good. I have nothing against EV's in climates that allow it. The overhead lines and 600km range make this worth it, charge when your out of the electrified area, and then charge on the go with the overhead lines. It's actually amazing when the infrastructure is in place. You can haul so much more weight with how torquey those electric motors are!

    When do we get to see the electric truck on the dynamometer? I saw it on elektrotrucker. But I don't understand Dutch, and my brother said they are talking to fast, and he does not understand it all. My brother was a automobile designer at Ford of Germany from 1983 to 1992, then sent to Detroit. He was born in America, and still got to keep his normal 6 weeks vacation (normal in Germany, but un-usual in America) that he had in Germany, as well as Ford would send him "Home" to West Germany once a year for 2 weeks and pay his airline tickets.

PS: i suggest you choose Germany (ie, Mercedes, Porsche, VW, Audi, and "Bey Oom Vey", etc) since Elmo's a drug addicted scumbag. I needed one day to charge in a truck charger, close to landshut, I was almost empty on my car, and the car charger was full. I think with the current charging infrastructure we need to be friendly with others, doesn't matter if it's a truck or a car. Of course if a truck come to me in that situation, I will free it, (In fact, I was there only 10 minutes, enough to reach another charger that was less expensive for me)

      nope, the majority of noise emissions stem from the high rev Diesel motor producing the hydraulic pressure for trash compaction. Sure there are other sources of noise like the emptying of the cans, release valve squeetching from machanical parts that need grease (which you can only hear when theres no Diesel motor droning everything else out)

    The forklift needs to charge off the trucks battery, that way it's fully charged at each loading/unloading point and you never need to worry about it. So when you charge the truck on the road it charges Ferdinand the Forklift automatically.

  • @alexco5881
    @alexco5881 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Yes we are totally gonna wonder why we didn't electrify trucks sooner. Right now my small little town insisted that they had to have a bypass for the small highway road running through it to go around the town so people wouldn't have to have the noisy trucks going through town and now if we do that people would be able to sit outside on the sidewalk and yada yada yada. Yeah it's not necessarily the semi trucks making all the noise it's the pick up trucks with no mufflers the motorcycles coming through. All vehicles make too much noise to some extent. At some point somebody's gonna realize what happened to all that noise once all these vehicles are electrified. Sadly that's not gonna happen in the US for at least the next 8 years.
