Forged In Fire
I could have done better, should have followed my intuition & instincts instead of 2nd guessing. Had less than zero support & sick the day of filming. But no excuses.. all experience. It was a wonderful opportunity once in a life time experience & alot of fun! I grew from it & that’s what its all about it! Cheers!

How did you treat the hammer? Looks like you quenched and pulled it out while still hot and let it air cool? Is that all you did with it?
I either fully quench it and then clean it up and put it in the oven for 350 for about half an hour 40 minutes until it turns a golden yellow color and then polish it and that’s tempering it but what just the hammer ends so they’re hardened and then let the core inside where the drift hole is the heat from that Slowly worked its way to the ends and tempers them. You just don’t want the hammerhead to be fully hardened. Otherwise you’ll get cracks and chips but when you’re using the hamburger as long as you’re not hammering on cold hard steel you’re fine just try not to hit the anvil. So you can either temperate in the oven at 350° or temperate from the drift hole with the Forge heat or a torch or even a hot drift but make sure you clean the hammerhead so you can see the colorization because you don’t want them to turn blue and purple you want them to be a Yellow golden brown color
Question: i’d like to know the type of angle iron you got and where did you purchase that from??
I work with scraps, i used a old metal bed frame the angle iron from that i cut & grinded. But you can buy it at a metal supplier or hardware store. But scrap is free.

@@TheEvilways101great vid by the way
Very nice
I’m gonna build a hood just like that one I’ve been looking at different styles and you built exactly what I’ve been thinking about all along so thanks. Looks like it will work good. 👍
This was made many years ago & im happy to say that im still using it today! Its super solid!
I see this is old, but it's still a huge cost saving hack!!
Theres a hundred different ways anyone can do this.. im just putting the idea out there that it can be done & save yourself alot of $$$ hopefully people try to do this in as many other areas in life, i know i do. Be resourceful & save a ton of money!
@@TheEvilways101 Couldn't agree more!! Well done!! How has it held up for ya??
3years.. still running strong, one fish rid holder broke, but easily fixed.
@@TheEvilways101 Ya gotta love that!!! I hope to experience the same!!
Good job. But why the wood and noodles? I don't see the benefit of them.
Wood & foam won’t scratch the fiberglass & wood & foam float.
Do you really need the wood/pool noodles underneath that cooler like that? Wouldn’t it be just fine mounted to the brackets alone ??@@TheEvilways101 …QUESTION
Can you share a link of angle iron? And what tools did you use to make a hole?
I just used a piece of bed frame. Any angle iton will work.. and 3/8 drill bit & a step bit
Vikings didn’t use war hammers
Vikings had hammers.. Vikings went into war… and you pee sitting down. All facts.
@@TheEvilways101you look like you have an interest in how another man pees 😂
@@TheEvilways101 “vikings had a thing so they used it in war. Even though it’s well known that they didn’t.” You’re really intelligent and of course how a man uses a bathroom is interesting to you 🤣
Stand up & peepee like a big boy lol
@@TheEvilways101keep thinking about men peeing 😂
how much cheaper can you get.....
Cheapest as cheap does Momma always said life is like a box of chocolates….. cheap
I am definitely trying this out !!! the prices on the seadoo gas caddy and coolers are ridiculous !!
Amazing idea, thanks for sharing, this is going to be my next project for me sea do
Great idea but video could do w/o the annoying music.
Are you bipolar? Thats such a passive aggressive comment you made lol
@@evilmohawk8524 I might be but I'm guessing you're a Loser.🤣The music is freaking annoying ,it's just a little constructive criticism.
Ok double chin
Dude that sounds so sick!!! The noise is the coolest, I wonder how I can try to re-make that? 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
It was alot of work.. the gears where hand made just have to find somthing & grind the notches on just like this gear & latch
@@TheEvilways101 you know it’s good when the sound of it alone is scary!! That’s my favorite part for sure, super cool
I agree!! & thanks for checking out the video!
Would be a good candidate for fiberglass
Nay as an Viking I would use highland farts as forge fuel
Thats why your single.
You need more electrical energy on your part man
Yeah i know.. but im poor. So i cant afford an electrician or materials needed right now, or probably ever.. so i work with what i have & it is what it is..
Greetings young man did I see Andrew Camarata wearing one of your hoodies? Kindest regards from Bonnie Scotland. Joe.
Thanks! Yeah hes helped me out alot!! Hes a really good dude! Hard worker! And of course makes great videos!
What video was it with the hoodie? Must of been a older one.. ?
Did you ever get to those damascus sai? I'd love to see that. Been toying with trying it myself..
I been meaning too.. I’ll get to it one day & make a video.. possibly thus year. Forging it is easy, but etching it they wont fit in my acid tube. So im either doing a two piece sai or figuring out a bigger wider etch container
Ghetto af
Yur a lil beeeeeeootch lol
Yur mama is ghetto af lol
@@TheEvilways101 ur gay for that weak ass cooler set up 🤣

Cool..
Thanks! Its a older video.. but war hammers are always fun to use & make!
Got here from Andrew's channel. Beautiful work. I see people below saying what I am thinking. Up your game with the camera and I am sure you will attract a following. We want to see work like this being done. Making something like this out of metal. Boom.... enough said. 🙂
Thanks for the support! I also agree.. but its easyier said & thought then actually done lol.. im workin on new cameras & tools, but with bills etc its hard to aquire everything i need right now, im just working with what i got.. but im using my iPad now which does better video. But a couple gopros would be nicer. Plus im not always doing big projects and alot of the process isnt that entertaining so i try but i don’t always have exciting content to share, but im definitely trying to out some stuff up on here & see what happens. Either way im just gonna have FUN! If its fun for me, I’ll win either way
You hacked all of seadoo
I had too.. the dealerships & seadoo have crazy prices lol… DIY #builtnotbought for cheaper lol..
The gas can would be useful... but $250 ?!?!? and it's only 3.5gallons. I'm not sure I want to be drilling through the bottom of a regular one though :-) #WCPGW
That's great but there has to be something more elegant than the pool noodles - maybe a cut yoga block ?
Yeah.. i mean i just had the noodles laying around & was building trying to spend as less actual money as possible to have the contrast of dealer seadoo prices compared to what anyone can build on there own for way less & just as good. I may rebuild mine using that foam & liquid nails chaulking. But im still using the cooler & its been 3 summers on the lake!
@@TheEvilways101 Well, it's still a great solution and can be adapted for anything else you want to mount. They're not $20 any more though... Covid pricing :-( I'm East Coast so no riding for now!
..that will make some more applesauce!! ...
Applesauce indeed!! Lol
came out very cool. Are you planning to decorate the surface more - maybe with engraving - like the model you used to build this after? It could become a very cool display piece over time with artful decorations and maybe some metal color etching all over the surface.
In time yes, id like too.. maybe have it laser etched somewhere local or even decals for now ir i could use model/car paint & do it myself by hand. I want to try & grind the corners alittle more flush & edged & figure how to get parts on the handle brown without leather. I have the plastic one atleast for display its got all the fancy stuff but it would explode if i hit anything with it, so atleast this metal hammer i built turns the tables & can take the hits & make other things explode instead. It makes for a great workout kettle bell too!
I think you forgot to put the magic dust and batteries for intergalactic energy in the head before sealing it off. Hopefully it still works as well as the original Thor's Hammer does. 👍😁
Dammit! Your right!! & you just gave me a great idea.. I should of put things inside it, kinda like a time capsule.. 100’s of years later someone might find it long after im gone open it up & find a rubber chicken or a toothbrush or a pouch of chuck E Cheese tokens.. i shall definitely add all the ingredients to the next Thor hammer i built.. im making two.
@@TheEvilways101 ... nice, and don't forget to include a covid test, face mask, thermometer and a copy of your vaccination card 🤣 ... oh and if you make a time capsule, maybe find a way to 'encrypt or encode' a hidden message within the decoration along the edges of the head that tells about the secret time capsule inside so that it does not go in the scrap pile by mistake, never to be opened again. Something like "within me, deep inside, lie the secrets of 2021 and my creator. Find the point of entry and the treasures shall reveal themselves to those who dare to explore and find the power necessary to overcome the strengths of my fire forged walls." ... something like that.
I believe Odin would jump off the bridge of asguard if i did that… or declare war.. lol
@@TheEvilways101 ... then maybe make that second hammer a little lighter so if he declares war, at least you can swing it with one arm instead of almost needing a forklift to get in the air.
Not a bad idea either.. make one as heavy as i can & one as light as i can but both steel & durable. Steel. But hollow hammer & hollow steel handle. 15-20lbs would be very wieldable
I think that's a wall hanger for real
I’m gonna need definitely find the studs in the wall & make one heavy duty hook or shelf.. its kinda dangerous having it up high.. 55lbs of steel landing on your toes is a bad day lol
Nice fix on the hinge!!
Definitely stronger then the original… oil change. Filters, sparkplug, new headlight next week, then eventually new tires! Something aggressive for mud & possibly new shocks too
Ohhhh this, this is fabulous 👌
Thank you! Unfortunately i sold it a few years ago.. it was fun i miss it bit i just never really played it as much as a thought i would
