My video editing skills aren’t great, i wish i filmed better details on how i did it, but it wasn’t hard, getting accurate measurements is key, but buying those linq brackets on amazon & doing it yourself, you will save hundreds!
Yeah.. i mean i just had the noodles laying around & was building trying to spend as less actual money as possible to have the contrast of dealer seadoo prices compared to what anyone can build on there own for way less & just as good. I may rebuild mine using that foam & liquid nails chaulking. But im still using the cooler & its been 3 summers on the lake!
@@TheEvilways101 Well, it's still a great solution and can be adapted for anything else you want to mount. They're not $20 any more though... Covid pricing :-( I'm East Coast so no riding for now!
Theres 100 different ways to do it.. but the moral of the video is , it can be done & you will save money... use that extra saved cash for gas & fishing gear!
Anything’s possible if you just put your mind to it & try.. buy stuff, use stuff around the house, take your time, measure things & do your best.. build it, don’t buy it & save!
I work with scraps, i used a old metal bed frame the angle iron from that i cut & grinded. But you can buy it at a metal supplier or hardware store. But scrap is free.
Theres a hundred different ways anyone can do this.. im just putting the idea out there that it can be done & save yourself alot of $$$ hopefully people try to do this in as many other areas in life, i know i do. Be resourceful & save a ton of money!
Thanks. I just finished mine. I had to do it twice because I forgot to remove the strap holders at the bottom. Lucky I found the metal plates at mennars si I did not have to drill to many holes Thanks again. Do you have any videos on fish finder installation and which one do you recommend?
Do you really need the wood/pool noodles underneath that cooler like that? Wouldn’t it be just fine mounted to the brackets alone ??@@TheEvilways101 …QUESTION
The gas can would be useful... but $250 ?!?!? and it's only 3.5gallons. I'm not sure I want to be drilling through the bottom of a regular one though :-) #WCPGW
Yup! Its just an idea, hopefully it inspires & shows someone you dont always have to waste money on retail name brand stuff.. you can build & customize it on your own & save! Doing this on my own saved me gas & dock fees for the season. Win/win.
Maybe so... i use a rachet strap & the linq connectors, combined together im able to go full send in the roughest of water without losing or worrying about my cooler.... the rachet strap alone isn’t enough.. unless your using 3-4 & who the hell wants to fumble around with rachets on the water? Do the labor now so that you dont have too out on the water
Not so true. The more ratchet straps you use, the more likely you will ruin the cooler. These coolers are not made of steel. It's just plastic/vinyl. If you ratchet too hard, then there goes your cooler.
I am definitely trying this out !!! the prices on the seadoo gas caddy and coolers are ridiculous !!
Just bought the same Ski 2 months ago and have been debating investing in their cooler. This looks great. I'll be working on it next week!

Amazing idea, thanks for sharing, this is going to be my next project for me sea do
Would be a good candidate for fiberglass
That's great but there has to be something more elegant than the pool noodles - maybe a cut yoga block ?

Legend mate, been thinking of this idea for our new Fish Pro too for adding a rack for spearguns, happy I found your video! 👌🏾

Question: i’d like to know the type of angle iron you got and where did you purchase that from??

@@TheEvilways101it's going to rust and stain your ski, especially in salt water.
Doing this on my GTI 130. Thank you

@@TheEvilways101 Couldn't agree more!! Well done!! How has it held up for ya??
3years.. still running strong, one fish rid holder broke, but easily fixed.
@@TheEvilways101 Ya gotta love that!!! I hope to experience the same!!
No fender washers on the inside???
You can customize it anyway you like, its just an idea to help u save over buying retail from dealerships. I put washers & epoxy on the inside
Can you share a link of angle iron? And what tools did you use to make a hole?
I just used a piece of bed frame. Any angle iton will work.. and 3/8 drill bit & a step bit
Thanks. I just finished mine. I had to do it twice because I forgot to remove the strap holders at the bottom. Lucky I found the metal plates at mennars si I did not have to drill to many holes Thanks again. Do you have any videos on fish finder installation and which one do you recommend?
I dont unfortunately but i do want to install a good fish finder & depth finder.. maybe next year. Or i may just sell & trade in for the fish pro
Good job. But why the wood and noodles? I don't see the benefit of them.
Wood & foam won’t scratch the fiberglass & wood & foam float.

I’ve been things like this my whole life.. theres more then one way to skin a CAT! lol
Sweet jetski Eric!
Thanks dude!
how much cheaper can you get.....
Cheapest as cheap does Momma always said life is like a box of chocolates….. cheap
You hacked all of seadoo
I had too.. the dealerships & seadoo have crazy prices lol… DIY #builtnotbought for cheaper lol..
Life Hack: Buy yourself a ratchet strap and save yourself anywhere from $300-$600 and a few hours labour.
