I just finished installing the hitch on my 2019 Buick Encore. For this car I needed to use an additional spacer under the car frame for the front driver side bolt otherwise the hitch doesn't sit flush because it hits a plastic piece. But the instructions say to only do this "if needed." I thought I share this for anyone with my particular car. Thank you again for your videos. They were very detailed and made the instructions more understandable.
I'm glad it worked for you. This has been a great hitch for us. We've used it for our e-bikes lots of times. I regret that it had to have been made more difficult by pulling the bolts upside down through the frame, but hopefully the video helped with that understanding. Hope you enjoy your hitch and....good work!
@@PilotViewProductions I’m planning on using it for a bike rack like you. But first we gotta buy some bikes. Hahaha. I was nervous using the fish wire. I was thinking what if the bolt gets stuck. Hahaha. But fortunately it all went well. I kinked the wire the same way you did and it worked out. A tip I’ve learned over the years working on mechanical stuff mostly on a semi trucks is to put the tires on wood blocks. I put the car on 5.5 inch blocks and it made the work easier. I used two smaller wood blocks or sheets to serve as a ladder to the 5.5” block. You also want to use jack stands to serve as an extra layer of protection in case the jack or wood block in this case were to fail. I have never seen a wood block fail though. Just make sure there are no steep cracks.
