Hi Karen. Love the blanket you've started. The holes in the bottom of the head may be where you have done your decreases. I've done quite a bit of amigurumi and it's really hard not to have any holes with decreases. I think we strive for perfection in our makes, but they are hand made and we need to be kinder to ourselves😄Also don't forget you are new to this so keep going you are doing great !!! xx p.s the Rico books are translated from German and do contain some errors, my local yarn store told me.,

Hello Karen. A lovely array of projects you are making. Lovely colours in the cupcake blanket. I love the 1950s fabric for the bags. Do you follow a pattern to make the bags?, as seeing your beautiful fabric I would like to have a go at bag making and don't really know where to start.

Hi Karen, i'm just catching up with some vlogs. I crocheted a couple of baskets using leftover yarn. About 8 strands, you can mix weights and textures, colours, etc just what looks good, and use a large crochet hook. I think I used a 9mm but depends on the thickness of the yarn etc. They look so good though and I bought some leather straps off Amazon and put handles on. They make nice gifts x

I love the 50's American style fabric on the bags you made, it reminds me of the old movies and advertisements that used to be shown at the cinema. Hello Karen!! It seems we all have so much to do and so little time to get things done! I love all of the quilts that you are working on. I especially love the lady with the butterflies and the kitties applique quilt. I wish I had someone to work beside me to teach me all there is to know about quilting. I always wanted to take several of the outfits my children wore as babies and take pieces of those outfits and photographs of them throughout their childhood and make it into a scrappy quilt for them to pass down and use as a generational quilt...adding to it as their children are born etc. I just know little about sewing and quilting. I get on here to admire everyone else's work.😊😊😊 I enjoy our time together here! Thank you! XXX

Good job on figuring out the brioche. I hadn't done brioche in years and had to watch a lot of videos before I figured it out as well.

Hello Karen, there's nothing sets you up like a good old moan when things aren't done correctly - I really enjoy it and the older I get the more I moan because I'd have been too scared when I was younger - but there's no excuse for bad or slipshod service 😂. Don't put pressure on yourself to do the brioche - it sounds like you've cracked it - and if you haven't, it's not the end of the world. Hope the hay fever has gone and the boys have a great time having their sleepover x

Hello Karen, love the fabrics, especially the first one which reminds me of American films in the early 1950's. They had no war rationing so could have dresses with loads of material in the skirts! I have just thrown out some knitted lilac wool covered coat hangers which were filled with lavender! They were a Christmas present from an aunt, again in the 1950's. I think you've been peeping into my past 😂. I hope you finished Freddie's quilt and enjoyed the party - were the space figures for him? x

I love that denim grey main colour! Superb colour. I think those pops are very Stephen West. I agree that Stephen's patterns are well written. They are always very readable. Are easy to follow.

Great Karen I finished my very first pair of socks last week I ve been knitting for about 65 years too now 70 but never thought of socks but have pair no 2 on needles now did realise how easy they are just using self patterning though
