It has been far too long since I last caught up with you, Karen, and I have thoroughly enjoyed your company this afternoon while I work on a little hand sewing project! The only problem with us enjoying crafting so much is that there are far too many lovely things that we could make! 😂❤
Hi Karen, i'm just catching up with some vlogs. I crocheted a couple of baskets using leftover yarn. About 8 strands, you can mix weights and textures, colours, etc just what looks good, and use a large crochet hook. I think I used a 9mm but depends on the thickness of the yarn etc. They look so good though and I bought some leather straps off Amazon and put handles on. They make nice gifts x
Lovely podcast, oooh all those patterns for leftovers, my mind is buzzing!! Love your materials, very lucky recipients. I know what you mean about starting a new craft, I’ve tried knitting but it’s so scruffy compared to my crochet that I’ve given in! But I so want to be able to knit socks. Take care Fiona
Hello Karen, love the fabrics, especially the first one which reminds me of American films in the early 1950's. They had no war rationing so could have dresses with loads of material in the skirts! I have just thrown out some knitted lilac wool covered coat hangers which were filled with lavender! They were a Christmas present from an aunt, again in the 1950's. I think you've been peeping into my past 😂. I hope you finished Freddie's quilt and enjoyed the party - were the space figures for him? x
