P&O Azura Cruise Vlog...#5 Corfu

- So our last port of call before we head back to Malta was Corfu . Although this is a popular holiday destination this was our first visit .
As we approached our berth we could see that we were going to be berthed opposite Marella Explorer 2 . This was a good chance for us to take a look at the ship, as we are on the sister ship Explorer next year
We decided to walk into the old town of Corfu , we were told its only a 15 minute walk , it turned out to be slightly longer , more like 35 minutes . So if there are shuttle buses available we would recommend that you take them .
We reached the old town and had a pleasant few hours , it turned out that the day we were there was in fact a public holiday so we managed to catch part of the parade that was happening . Also there was a display by the army and the Air Force .
After a pleasant time in Corfu Old town we decided we would head back to the ship , this time we would take the shuttle Bus , the queue was quite large but soon moved down because of the frequency of the Busses .
Back onboard it was time for a slice of Pizza , drink at the poolside bar ,then after a bit of relaxation we did a little tour of the ship. Before heading back to our balcony to watch the sail away of Explorer 2 .
That evening was our second formal evening of the cruise , after another ok meal in the MDR we enjoyed the usual bars that we frequented , listening to the music that was on offer . We even had time to participate in a bit of silent disco.
There ended another day onboard P&O Azura , tomorrow would be a sea day so that meant packing would have to start.

That was fun! Had trouble hearing you in your cabin. I would have never made that walk. I really enjoy the entertainment, and that young man sings so well. I think they do well. As usual Pearl had a beautiful dress on for dinner, and You looked quite spiffy in your suit. Tell Pearl I really love that emerald green top she was wearing. I enjoy bright colors. Wanted to tell you we finally got rain. I am so glad. Hope you all are doing well. Will miss these, and talking to you.
Hi Rene , hope you are well , glad to hear that you finally got some much needed rain . Our temperatures have dropped a bit but it’s mostly dry . Glad you enjoyed Corfu , and yes it was quite a walk . I really enjoyed Max the singer as well, my sort of music.
I agree Pearl looked great in her dress although she wasn’t sure about it . I will definitely take spiffy all day 😆. So there is one more episode on this cruise, then a small break before the Queen Mary 2 vlogs start .

Morning Al , thank you very much 🙏. I’m sure the neighbours would be fine with Pearls bb across the street 😂 . I know what you mean about pools , usually there is no room to move . We go in the adult only one on the last episode and it was really nice . French Onion, our favourite as well . To be fair the food was ok , not spectacular but we enjoyed most meals.
I thought I would treat her at the airport but unfortunately I didn’t read the sign 😂.

Corfu was not one of my favourite towns. Pearl looked lovely in the green and white outfit. Green really suited you😊

You both looked very smart in your elegant night attire and loved seeing you both enjoying the silent disco. What did you think of Corfu? We’ve not been on a cruise but visited for the night from our hotel along the coast, it was many years ago during their financial crisis and at the time looked quite run down and boarded up restaurants. Judging by the nice flower beds and how busy it was things are much better.

Thank you , as we said before It’s Pearls favourite part of the cruise when she can get all dressed up for the evening. We just had a little go at the silent disco , they need to change the music up a bit , as it tends to be the same tracks all the time .
We thought that Corfu was ok , I would say it was our least favourite of the ports we visited .Not for any particular reason, maybe it was the fact that we had just visited Split and Kotor . Great to hear from you , thanks very much for watching and the continued support.👋👋❤️

❤ we had a trip 2021 just after covid on Marella Explorer 2. We really enjoyed it. It was a trip from Newcastle which was a first for us and did the Shetland isle.

Hi Amanda, this weather is depressing don’t you think. No I’ve got to say it was the least favourite of the ports we visited. Nothing particular, but maybe it was the fact we had just visited Split and Kotor .Pearl did look great , I’m afraid it’s much of the same when it comes to the blokes it’s either the light suit or the dark one . No we don’t always use the stairs, I would but Pearls feet are usually killing her 😂. Silent disco is a laugh, but they need to change the music, it’s always the same tracks. Lovely Corfu l noticed that you had one of the pools closed they must be having issues all three out four were closed for most of the week for us and l wish l could keep our cabin neat and tidy like yours ❤
Hi , Yvonne yes Corfu was great our first time . We were sitting at the bar then all of a sudden they closed the pool . We didn’t find out why . That’s terrible 3 out of 4 for most of the week , it obviously puts pressure on the remaining one that is open. As for keeping the room tidy , that is all my doing. Hi Mrs ZT , best way to watch any of our vlogs is after a few glasses or preferably a few bottles 😂 . So we have just got off Queen Mary 2 , back on Ventura in a few days, it’s a family cruise with the grandkids only 4 nights .
