Yeah they beat the refs a bit too. It seemed like there was some plays that should've been called a foul on UcF but there was no call. One that sticks out is at the end of the first half where Traore was clearly fouled when the ball was taken away from him and then UcF got a bucket right after that under the hoop

Mag is the best defender byu has had in a long time. He 100% deserves props for this game on offense, but without him we don’t win the last couple games. Of course others had their contributions as well. So glad he’s in our team.

The team is starting to find its footing. Physicality at the guard line is still a problem. That Utah loss may be the thing that keeps us out of the tourney. The team is improving, in its scrappiness. They didn’t give in, or back down.

I haven’t managed to watch much BYU basketball this season, so I appreciate the analysis.

Are you guys kidding me. Mag has been horrible on defense. He cost us the Texas tech game in the last five minutes by let his man back him to the hoop for easy baskets. As well as the Utah game. His man scored 26 in the second half. His man scored 28 in the Baylor game. How’s is that a lockdown defensive player?

I think 🤔 the Sun Belt conference should go to 16 members adding Eastern Kentucky getting back into Kentucky and giving Marshall a travel partner/ rival and either UT Chattanooga or Austin peay either or getting back into Tennessee C-USA should add North Alabama 🦁 setting up a in- State rivalry with Jax State 🐔 and Middle Tenn and Kennesaw State 🦉 as secondary rivals SE Missouri giving Missouri State 🐻 a rival Central Arkansas 🐻 bridge the gap between LA Tech and Missouri State on the U S.A map Western Carolina Mercer or Richmond

Carolina, in no way feels like a BIG10 school. This is insane, Carolina and Duke is one of if not the best college rivalry. I really hate it, but yeah, the SEC might be a real thing.

I love football. I love BYU football, and I really appreciated how this video helped me to even better understand the game. I love just how much more there always is to learn about football strategy, positions, logistics, and this video did a great job at giving me more insights into that. Thank you to both of you!

WTH. No way... BYU won every game CP was out and fell apart when they put him back in....the OLine is the most glaring issue BYU has and it was no better than last year. I expect vast improvement next year. Jake Retzloff is a totally different QB when protected. Let's close that gap in the middle ...

Who are you award winners for each category we did?

I say go with 24 teams and set up four six-team regionals and get rid of the other bowls given this year's attendance issues at these second tier bowls. This would be to start in 2026. All ten conference champions get in automatically but no guaranteed high seeds for especially Group of Six (Pac-12 no longer a power conference) and weaker Power 4 conference champs, and 14 at-large berths. Top two in each region get first round byes. Regional champs advance to a Final Four at one venue with semis played back to back on a Saturday and finals the following Thursday night. All this creates a March Madness-type feel and a better chance for a lower-seed team to make a Cinderella run. All games neutral site as well with a rotation of legacy bowl venues hosting regional semis and regional finals.

BYU needs a new QB…He has always been the weak link. The DEFENSE is spectacular and the offense would be unstoppable with a decent QB! Really a shame!

Great game. Great show. BYU looks like a top 10 team and proved that them being ignored completely in the CFP conversation was absurdly disrespectful and wrongheaded.

The ABC commentators were a joke. While BYU is kicking CUs butt all the commentators at ABC could talk about is the CU team. I had picked BYU to win by 3 points. I was shocked that the team that seemed to eek out wins all season was dominating all four quarters. My favorite was Kingston! Where was Roparti?

People are saying that the blowouts in round 1 ruined the playoff and the committee got it wrong. What they aren’t talking about is the average margin of victory over the weekend was 17 points. Guess what the average margin of victory was over the 10 years of the 4 team CFP…that’s right 17 points.

Honestly there is rarely a year where anyone outside of the top 2 is the best team. In the CFP era 70% of the champs were the 1 and 2 seeds. Expanding had less to do with making sure we find the best team, and more to do with money and expanding recruiting opportunities. More teams can now recruit on the opportunity to compete in the CFP

Seeding by ranking has some decided flaws itself. I captained a tennis team for a long time and the league we played in did seeding according to ranking, and it sucked. So often you'd just end up having the top two teams from the same division play each other in the first round of the play-offs, and since the division winner was usually much stronger than the runner-up, it was a pointless rematch that everybody hated - at that point just drop half the teams and have a smaller play-off. No, it's a lot more fun for *everyone* when the first round of the play-offs sees teams being paired up from different divisions, so everybody is seeing someone they don't normally see, if they've ever seen them at all. Now sure, that can occasionally lead to some necessarily unreasonable first-round play-off match-ups, so you don't have to adhere to it so strictly if it'll really ruin the first round to do so, but as much as can be reasonably done, they should have tried to mix up the first round. Going purely by ranking sounds good on paper, but once you've done it a few times, it kind of sucks once you see it play out the same way every single time.

I was certainly disappointed the SEC abolished their divisions. I know the two new teams would have messed up the existing divisions, but so what? Move Auburn and Alabama into the East and it's fine. Then you'd have 7 division opponents, and 1 or 2 other conference opponents, and still have plenty of room in the schedule for out-of-conference rivals and a cupcake game or two. Now trying to schedule 16 teams with no structure between them is going to be chaos, as you're not going to schedule more than half of them in a season anyways, but now it's going to be a different set of opponents every year. Needless, senseless chaos. Bad, bad move by the SEC. If you're going to have a large conference, you need to have divisions within it. Otherwise, yes please, trim it down to no more than 10 opponents, that would be a good alternative if we really have to have division-less conferences.

Just remove the guaranteed byes

First off, this is a discussion that needs to be had, and fan bases are not not going to create the solution, but can make enough noise to demand that changes be made. My objectives would be to create a level playing field that offers no presuppositions of superiority to any team(s), brings back regionality, and structure divisions to operate solely on w/l records for post season advancement. No rankings or analytics necessary! Separate groupings (of 10) that play a full round robin schedule. The 2 first place teams in each division play for the division championship which would essentially be the first round of an 8 team playoff. The 'Select' league would follow the same formula for it's own separate playoff, but a system of relegation could be used for top division teams to replace the last place teams in the elite league. Non-division games (3) would not count towards division w/l records and I would recommend that each team is allowed 1 lower division (cupcake) home game and 2 games from the same 'league of which only 1 can be a home game. This makes room for traditional rivalries and removes the disincentive for scheduling quality opponents that would deliver greater fan satisfaction. This would allow traditional regional conferences to reform and not let CFB act as the driver to diminish all college athletics.
